Monty seems more interested in teasing Fali than in paying attention to the world around him.

I'll have to introduce you to my Sensei back in Tian someday you know... I think you'd get along well with him. Or at least, you will, can't speak for the peanut gallery. I'm guessing Fritty will hate him. If she thinks I can be obtuse, she should try listening to him explain something. You'd walk away sure you know less than what you did before you started!

He chortles.

Took forever to get the hang of the Koans.

"Oh I am from Tian Xia, too! I am from Leng Hao, a village full of Kitsune and Halflings in the Forest of Spirits east of Hongal. Where exactly are coming from? And you Lynn, where was your father from?" Kioshi asks.

Lynn scanned Kioshi up and down, "You don't look like you hail from Tian, but I suppose i don't much look it either. Growing up in the islands and taking more after my mother I suppose. Father didn't really talk about his village much so the name escapes me at the moment, mulawin? Muliwan? Something like that he told me stories of spirits and great beasts that roamed the forests. Perhaps the same forest you speak of." She made wide arching motions with her arms and began to laugh. "He said he once saw a boar the size of a house. Could you believe such a magnificent sight?"

She pulled her arms back in, "I've never been to Tian Xia however. I was born here in the inner sea, didn't see much of my mother growing up but my father says i look just like her. We spent so many years traveling on his ship between islands, it's where i found my passion for song and dance. But i could lead you around a ship too."

She's lying about the exact location, but he really has told her some ridiculous stories. Also it's lovely how the two kitsune are just trying to outlie each other XD

Nah, I'm from the Mwangi, from a little forest village in the middle of nowhere you've never heard of and probably couldn't pronounce. But, when I left, I traveled the world, and ended up in Tian where I learned focus and the ways of the counselor.

DoubleGold: I can setup the slides for you if you link the maps like you did right here. I'll do that at home later tonight. The reason why you can't cut and paste has to do with the browser settings that some offices use. I'm in the same boat and usually work on my maps from my home PC. The workaround, if you can't wait, is to click "Insert" in the Google Slide menu, then pick the picture file from your CPU by following the prompts. Even if your office settings don't allow for Cut and Paste into Google Slides, the 'Insert' menu should still work.

”Lynn I can imagine that life on a ship is very exciting. Especially, if you have a father that has traveled so much as yours. He definitely had an interesting life and I hope that you still enjoy his stories. And I have to admit that I was not born in the far east. My mother is a Kitsune that fled Cheliax years ago as a pregnant woman with five unborn babies in her belly. Well, her husband was willing to sacrifice her unborn children to close a deal with a devil. You know … it sounds better when I say „ her husband“ because I do not have to say … „my father“.” he says with some anger and grief in his voice.

DungeonMaster

Alright you guys find that cave underneath, you know that map found online, not my handdrawn one, those white dotted lines, you come out on the north side. DC climb 15 to get onto the land, you may take 10 and as many turns as you'd like provided you don't fail by five or more. You see see several groups of goblins. You may surprise attack the 10 goblins in C4, or the 4 goblin dogs in C5, init happens after this from both sides, unless you take out all creatures in one of the areas, if a side is attack and is left with men, both sides attack you. It is assumed that surprise round happens after everyone gets on the land as you wait for each other, so roll climb until you get 15 or higher, then roll your surprise round attack. If you get climb 10 or lower, then make a swim check of 15 to say afloat, get a swim of 10 or lower and you drift away. If you get swim of 20, you can swim off by yourself. It normally takes a 20 swim just to get through the cave, but I assume you all help each other and hold onto each other, create a chain, etc. and not just swim by yourself
Surprise round and climb checks go.

How many Climb checks are needed to succeed?
I have a way we could ignore this section entirely and just get to the island - Aroden could use his bonded item to cast Levitate up to the bottom of the bridge, trailing a rope, and move by hand under the bridge to the island - but we might miss out on things. So we can go the long way.

DungeonMaster

One climb check needed dc 15, you would need to swim to the bridge anyway for your plan to work Aroden, as there are no rocks or cave to grab onto, it would require the swim of 20 to get underneath the bridge, you are just on the north side of the white dotted line.

Or just swim out to the island and Levitate there. Maybe with the best swimmer leading with a rope. That would bypass this mainland section altogether.
Maybe we don't want to do that (missing out on rewards), but even hitting the mainland, having a leader with a rope is probably the best way to climb.
Aroden is just +1 Climb, and though he can use Foresight to pre-roll until he gets a 14, Lynn is -1, Faliana is +3, so a rope makes a lot of sense. Jeydavhu (+13)? Monty (+10)?

That's why I offered my heavy crossbow to Lynn in the post above.

DungeonMaster

Lynn Pmed me insisting she used her gun in surprise round. So a loud noise is made, sorry but stealth is broken, goblins will be here in round one, you won't get a surprise round on them too. If you were able to kill all the dogs before they could take their turn by a longshot, you would be able to go through the bushes and surprise the ten goblins too.

Faliana spears a dog through the head and kills it.
The other dog tries to bite Faliana bit: 2 + 1d20 ⇒ 2 + (1) = 3 and it also howls and barks
The goblins spend the entire round getting to you.
Aroden and Mr. Monty are up You have one dog left, you also have 10 goblins coming at you from the west, it will take them a double move just to reach you. You can attack the dog, or ready an attack and attack the goblins. Place yourselves on the map, for those wondering, if you were fighting the dog, via melee, you can reach the front lined goblins within a single move. Otherwise doublemove if taking the path. I know, no squares, but exact position doesn't matter this combat, I just need a good estimate.
init of goblins: 6 + 1d20 ⇒ 6 + (8) = 14
So when round two comes it will be Lynn then goblins
edit: almost forgot the good news. Because Lynn did use her gun, she did hit, since it was vs flatfooted and touch, thus AC 10 as the dogs bonus is due to natural ac dmg: 1d8 ⇒ 1 so the last dog only has 8 HP left, since Lynn hit it for one damage.

???? O_O ???? I don't understand why we're breaking stealth for a puny 1 point of damage, but I'll leave it at that, and trust that Lynn has something up her sleeve against the 10 goblins... also, Jeydahvu was at Init 15 I think so perhaps I can go before the gob-gobs too? if so, Jeydahvu will stealth and ready an attack against incoming goblins...

In round 2, Jeydahvu attempts to finish that dog quickly then stealth into the bushes before the goblins show up.

Round 2 Init
Lynn: 18
Jeydahvu: 15 went
Goblins: 14
Faliana: 13
Mr. Monty: 8
Aroden: 8 You don't have to wait for each other though, the main thing is before the goblins and after the goblins.

LOL! not mad at all! (OOC that is!) it's Friday, and I understand the chaos of battle and gunslingers wanting to shoot their guns! lol just thought we were in 'fast mode' i.e. stealth and eliminate, as it's safer for the squishies in the party with low HP, but I'm happy either way! especially with pro vs. evil and shield up! bring 'em allllllll!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i had already used most of my surprise round to ready my gun before aroden offered the bow so i just went with me using the gun.

"We shall discuss it later. I have a plan for now however."
Lynn will move towards where to goblins are coming from and begin to chant along her way.
"Oh mighty spirits, warriors of the waves grant us your strength to fel these knaves."
inspire courage, +1 to attack, damage, and saving throws. I think it stacks with aroden's since they are different types let's hope the goblins are stacked up cause if so it's time for this little bard of mine to shine
Edit: also i forgot to put it on my own end, but Lynn's pistol does 1d8+1(i completely forgot that masterwork is +1 to attack and damage x.x)

Mr. Monty the dog is dead, but you would have missed the goblins anyhow.
2 Goblins take the path and move forward to be in melee with Faliana and Aroden. The other 8 move forward and will attempt to shoot Mr. Monty through the bushes, even though he has 3/4 cover.

When round 2 gets around to lynn she's casing chord of shards starting at the head of the 2 wide side of the column so it should hit 6 of the 8 if they are standing in 4 rows of 2. DC.14 dex negate 2d6+1(from courage) piercing damage. Also will i have to roll a acro to get through the bushes?

Lynn dashes forward to the column of goblins her voice rising to a deafening pitch causing the very air around her to solidify. The transparent solidified air crystals shot forward into the wave of goblins.

Thanks for placing me on the map!
Wait as in 'right next to her' melee? Fali has a longspear with reach and combat reflexes, so she might get an AoO or two there

If one of them did provoke:

Faliana takes a stab at the goblin trying to get closer to her.
__________
AoO, Mwk longspear, Inspiring sword: 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 6 + 2 = 24
Damage, Arcane strike: 1d8 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 4 + 1 = 9

Faliana takes a step back and reimbues her longspear with arcane power before stabbing out at the goblin that approached her earlier. "Oh, great, goblins. But at least they aren't singing like last time! I'll gladly take ten not singing goblins over three that are!"

__________
Mwk longspear, Inspiring sword: 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 6 + 2 = 18
Damage, Arcane strike: 1d8 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 4 + 1 = 13

reflex: 2 + 1d20 ⇒ 2 + (14) = 16 this one unharmed
reflex: 2 + 1d20 ⇒ 2 + (8) = 10 and none are dead, but massive oouch
Aroden gives everyone encouragment
Faliana kills the two goblins in melee
Mr. Monty, Jeydahvu are up fixing map to adjust enemies

Goblins, first five have 5 dmg on them
Other three at full health
Mr. Monty at 10 points of dmg.

Yeah, dog is dead with 25 dmg, has been removed from map. And you can get to the next set of goblins behind the ones Mr. Monty killed with a single move provided you have a speed of 30.
Mr. Monty moves in and kills 2 goblins as he swings his staff fast and hard.
