Oh fine, Amazon, you brought it upon yourselves.

Name: Elvis Presley
Address: Richard Nixon St. 666, Salt Lake City

"Thank you for your purchase!"

Of course, it was a digital download.

There is an old Vulcan proverb: only Nixon Gorbacz could go to China Nixon.

Edit: Nekkid Gorbacz? or Nekkid Nixon?

Oh my gosh.

That. Is. Brilliant.
I've never bookmarked a Youtube page before. Ever.

So, I did mention it was a bit windy here on Sunday, right?

Because when I went to buy some food today, a large stretch of the bike path between my place and the shop was impassable due to all the trees that had fallen across the bike path - I'm guessing 10 or 12 out of the 15 or so opposite the neighbourhood football club's two-and-a-half playing fields, and another in a very tight curve just before a bridge across a motorway.

And earlier I discovered that if the wind had been in the opposite direction we'd have had to find a new place for me to pick up the papers for my route, because the bus stop we're using now would have gotten a grand-daddy pine tree on top of it.

So glad I didn't have to work that night.

My friend's wife made a Facebook page for their pet rabbit. I'm not sure how I feel about this.

Create a Facebook account for your imaginary pet guinea pig and then have the peeg block the rabbit?

I returned home from session yesterday around 9 pm. I went to bed a bit past 10 pm. I woke up past 5 am. I sat to 9 am playing on computer. I went to bed again and slept past 11 am. I stayed up to 3 pm and went to bed following by sleeping until 6 pm... Now I am up. I could use some sleep, though...

Welcome back. Did ya get any nice clothes in Milano?

Clothes? Pfft.

I did get some music books in Florence. A much better investment.

It's kind of surreal being back to work and other routines.

I feel much the same way about being back in class.

Morning FaWtLy folk. Hope everyone is doing well and having a good week. Storm force winds, hail storms and snow here atm, bit odd for Ireland, but, sure, it's grand really. Just a mite cold.

Add blank ice all over the roads and you've got Sweden.

Went down to bed around 6 am... Woke up around 9 am.

Yesterday I went to bed around 3 pm and woke up at 11 pm.

The fun with time continues.

bluh...Just woke up not long ago..been sick after the past two days, which is why I haven't been posting much. But at the same time a new bed has just arrived, and sleeping on it has been heavenly. Truly heavenly. This is the first bed we have slept on since the...unwelcome visitors...caused us to get rid of the other one. Queen size double high with a pillow top. The only word I could use to describe it is one of the words for the sleep spell, and if I used it here, any who saw the post would fall into a torpor.

Unfortunately, the futon we were using to sleep on just got a crack in one of the support beams this morning out of nowhere. While it is a great sign that we got the bed at just the right time, it's still a bummer. There's some talk about getting another piece of wood to support the broken one, but I don't know when that's going to happen.

In other good news, I heard from the third job the other day- it turns out that they sorta kinda forgot my royalties for the sales over the past year, and they are sending me a check for 40 dollars. FORTY WHOLE DOLLARS!!!! It's not much, but...I'm a real editor now. I got paid for what edited! Which I did years past, but it feels more REAL now for some reason...

More other news, we got a Vitamix! I am literally drinking all of my meals now, which was a great help when I was feverish and just wanted to be back in bed. There is some talk about getting the dry-blade/carafe attachment so we can knead dough and do other interesting things that a food processor/dough maker would be able to do.

Bleargh. I gotta go to work. Will post more later.

I hope that you feel better soon and that work goes well.

I bought a new stock pot today (not a new Stockport) because one of the handles has fallen off the old one and stew keeps dribbling out of the holes. £7.99 reduced from £20. Wow.

I apologize for my silence. I had a very bad reaction to meds that hospitalized me for a day, and adjusting to the new ones has taken more time than expected. They've had to adjust the dosage a few times.

The wife made "Chicken with 40 cloves of garlic" for dinner tonight, I think it is Barefoot Contessa, definetely not Alton Brown. I am washing it down with some Chunky Monkey.

I like garlic, but I've yet to eat a really good chicken and garlic dish. Weird considering how bland a meat chicken is.
