I am of the opinion that In n Out is the best fast food burger. Double double animal style....Yum!

Can I get an amen?

Being a hater of thousand island dressing (or whatever that sauce is - had it once, eugh! that was enough for me) and onions, animal style of any sort is out for me. Bluh.

Five Guys is better, but only by a small margin. Eating at either place is about the same price for our family.

Never been there. There's one down by the mall, but never really felt like driving by.

Has anyone tried Logan's Steakhouse? They're pretty good, for a cheap steakhouse. Just can't get them to understand the word "plain" where steakburgers are concerned.

I like Logan's, there was one where I lived in Phoenix and there's one here in Chatt. Pretty good place, and yeah not too expensive.

Scint's also told me it's good. The only one in the area is downtown. I don't go downtown.

...I've never been to Five Guys. There's one in town, but I've not been. I told you to get some Jimmy John's, though.

Got the two mixed up. Fixed.

Not fixed till you try it~

Jimmy John's is pretty good!

Yeah it's still downtown - AKA The Place I Dare Not Drive - and I'm outside their delivery range.

Quite a ways away for me as well. Nearest one is in far-north Virginia. My family is heading to WEST Virginia today, but I'm not going with.

That said, I am not an amazingly huge chicken fan; I tend to prefer beef or steak. Given a choice of places to go if I'm going to pay to have someone else fix food for me, I'll go for Italian, Mexican, or Indian first (though I have to admit, tandoori chicken is really good). The Asian places I really like tend to be hibachi type places, or places like Pei Wei or P.F. Chang's.

When I checked my local restaurant guide, it said the nearest BonChon is in New York. That's not a short drive from here.

I tend to go for Chinese or burgers. Too many places make overly greasy chicken, Mexican, Indian, or otherwise.

this is proof you must visit. CH and I and more importantly, bonchon, are waiting.

Yeah... Nearest one to me is in Northvale, New Jersey, which is about a four-hour drive. Of course, two of the players in my PF group drive an hour to Binghamton, NY to get Sonic before every game, so what do I know.

SONIC RULES!!!!!!

I have a very heavy leaning towards core, so....

Orthos, only one solution... you must make Scin drive!

Freehold, sure! You're okay with being blindfolded, right? I don't want to blind people not used to my face, and most who game with me are sufficiently traumatized that it doesn't affect them.

Five Guys is good, though expensive, and not quite as good as In-N-Out. Jimmy John's got me through college. It's cheap as f#%*, tastes pretty good, and they sell all their day-old bread for 50 cents a loaf.

Next time I'm in NY, I might swing by.

Sonic is okay. Usually get a coney there rather than a hamburger though.

If I want to eat greasy diner food in my car, I'll go to Stewart's, thank you very much.

Yeah, we don't have too many 'chain fast food' restaurants around here (not even a Nando's), however we do have the most restaurants per capita in the UK (some thing like 1/50).

And it does remind me the first meal I had in France was a "Cheese Royale"...d'oh.

Morning FaWtL'ers! Hope ya'll are well today, enjoying a fine morning and a smooth day ahead. Cooler temperatures but the skies are clear once more hereabouts. Need sunglasses to keep your chin up with the sky fire. Which I have, so, woo! \o/

Dark Archive

Speaking of, reminds me of the short while where I was getting stick from the lads about calling them shades. Sounded too much like the "cool" people in Hollywood movies, apparently. :P Been a while since I had a good razzing, now that I think about it. I may drop it again, just to get some smiles. There's always room for more smiles.

Boardgames tonight! Looking forward to it. A bit messy, I invited a limited number of people Saturday, but people kept cancelling, so I invited more to replace them. Then I had to reschedule to Monday, and now everyone is coming. :P Ah well, just gotta hit up the folk with larger boardgame selections. That or break the group into two games, but that'd feel weird.

Dark Archive

Boy, am I tired. It probably didn't help staying up until 02:30. Payday 2 is a great game though.

Heists:
So, first person shooter, four player co-op, heisting game. Good fun, our favourites are stealth missions, where you loot the goods and no one ever knows you were even there. But we haven't played it in ages, and they made a bunch of changes. Before, stealth was secure the area and move the goods quietly. Now, enemies respawn and securing is impossible. Stealth is moving through without ever being seen. Significantly harder. We ran one of our classic heists to introduce a friend to the game, and ended up having to replay it a half dozen times due to the changes. Greed foiled us in our last playthrough before we had to call it quits, went for extra loot bags and wound up getting caught. Jonesing for another run now.

Kidlet coming down this weekend! Wooo! \o/ Can't wait to see him, only got to see him a few hours last weekend. Apparently, a few more teeth have come through. Need to figure out how to encourage biting inanimate objects as opposed to people. And speaking. But all shall come with time.

Sunnydale, I believe, but pretty close.

We got McDonald's, Burger King, and KFC in Ireland. Well, and Supermacs, but I'm pretty sure that's an exclusively Irish chain. Not sure if any of those other chains though. I've had Five Guys and Applebee's while I was in the States, but not Sonic or Jimmy Johns. I'll stick with BK for now, nice balance between affordability and tasty. Not that I eat take out burgers often.

Steam Summer Sale! Woo! \o/ Not many games that I don't already own, or that are appealing enough to overcome my current backlog, though I have made a couple purchases.

Steam:
Picked up FarCry 3 and Blood Dragon. Have heard BD is really entertaining and fun, so why not? It was dirt cheap. Don't Starve seems like my kinda game too, so grabbed it and its DLC. Finally got to grab Shadowrun's DLC, Dragonfall. Really looking forward to getting into that, I loved the main game, they did a really good job of it. Contagion is an up-to-8 player co-op zombie survival FPS, which seems promising from the couple times I've played it so far. I was treated to that one by a friend, currently describing it as a grittier, more difficult Left 4 Dead. A four pack works out as about €3.50 per person currently, real cheap. And Payday 2 DLC, cause Payday 2 is awesome.

It's not too weird, on our regular Friday night boardgames, we have 2-3 on the go. It does help that the host has a few hundred to choose from, with the biggest problem being getting people to choose. Which ends up with me choosing and thus me winning the games ...bwahahahahha

Mayhaps I am just being fussy then. There will be 8 of us friends together, and if we split into two groups, we'll need to go into two separate rooms in the house, for space reason. Need bigger tables. :P And that is why I dislike playing competitive boardgames that one person is experienced at, and everyone else is new. The conclusion is practically foregone. :P

Well it's not that I'm more experienced at games, I just pick ones I like (& thus tend to be good at like Speicherstadt or Sumeria). But yeah the need to split up is annoying. Of course there are a few 8 player games (like Formula D) but the # of players considerably increases the time the game takes.
