Aeglos, you've had an affect on my mothers day.

Last year my mom wanted to go to a biergarten to try an old beer she couldnt find anywhere called dinkelacker. She wore her blue little old lady dress to the place we went to in hipster hell, where we got a nice discount because everyone thought the old lady celebrating mothers day by going out to a bar with her son and drinking and eating sausage was so cool it was awesome. Unfortunately this place we went to did not have dinkelacker, and she was mildly disappointed.

Fast forward to one year later, where I am not able to get a reservation at the restaurant I wanted to take my mom to so I was forced to go with my second choice. We get out of the train station at a particular exit and lo and behold we are at another biergarten! I jokingly suggest we see if they have her beer and as we are quite early for the other place, which doesn't open for another half hour, we decide we have nothing to lose.

We discover they have dinkelacker.

The reservations for the other place are immediately scrapped, and we celebrate mother's day in a new hipstery joint where my mom is now on her third beer and I am enjoying my second bratwurst with spicy mustard.

It may be the alcohol talking but LONG LIVE MOTHER'S DAY! !!!!!!

very cool !!

I think I naver had a Dinkelacker, it is not very commen in Hessia

Dinkelacker is based in Stuttgart (home of Mercedes) and still in private hands not part of a huge beer corporation

Good morning FAWTLY Folk! Happy Tuesday! Craptastic weather here, though. Lots of rain.

Not down by me. We barely snuck into the 60s. I think it is supposed to drop a little bit more over the next few nights.

Scarab Sages

The wife asked me to get the stroller out of my trailblazer and put it in the trunk of her car. So it's raining. I open my truck, get the stroller out. Try to use the remote to open her trunk - doesn't work. Try to use the remote to unlock her door - doesn't work. Unlock the door with her key, then hit the lever to open the trunk (twice) - doesn't work. Finally I just put the stroller in the garage and called it done.

Stoopid Honda.

Poor baby girl started screaming and crying her head off last night, just as I was going to bed. We think she might be starting to teeth.

Oh joy.

Scarab Sages

Went out to eat last night for our anniversary. My stomach is still bothering me. We chose.....poorly.

Needless to say, we will not be gracing that establishment again.

Scarab Sages

But, hey! Some information we've been waiting for at work finally came through from the vendor yesterday evening and I forwarded it to the client.

Yay me.

Scarab Sages

Mmmmmm....coffee.

The boy fell and scraped his knees yesterday. When I got home he had bandaids on both knees. Apparently, the wife wanted to put long pants on him afterwards, but he refused because then he wouldn't be able to see the bandaids.

Scarab Sages

It was kind if funny, though, to watch him walk around stiff legged.

Scarab Sages

Dude I know just bought a house - I'd swear it was damn near the twin of mine. I may have to look for him in my neighborhood.

Scarab Sages

F*~% you, <redacted>! F#+$ you, and your automated evil!

Scarab Sages

Ouch. My shoulder is bothering me again.

Need ibuprofen.

Scarab Sages

Luckily, I always carry some with me.

Scarab Sages

Had the wife order me a 72 pack of K-cups. That should hold me a work.

Maybe for a week or two.

Scarab Sages

Do you ever get the feeling you're just too damn sexy for the world? Happens to me all the time. It's one of those blessing/curse things.

Just gotta live with it.

Scarab Sages

Of course, I could also substitute "awesome" for "sexy".

It is a harsh existence I lead.

Scarab Sages

With that I shall depart. Good day to you all.

Apparently, they were only being distributed in Chicago, they're being distributed in NY again for the first time in a long time...

Woohoo!!!!! She'll be soon developing that all important Z-tooth that allows zombies to crack the cranium and eat brains.

Sometimes, I have to close my eyes when I pass mirrors, lest I spend 20+ minutes admiring my beauty.

I can honestly say I have never once felt that you were too damn sexy for the world. Sorry, but that's the truth.

Dark Archive

Morning FaWtL folk. Hope ya'll are well and have / are having a lovely day. :) A typically changeable day here, with equal parts bright sunshine and dark clouds. I don't think carrying around both an umbrella and sunglasses will ever feel quite right. Just the ways I like it. ^_^

I wonder if I should recap the previous Kingmaker session. All we did was have 8 kingdom building phases, though stuff did happen between them.

Any funny events, like successful assassination attempt on the leader? Peasant revolt? Famine? Plague? Kingdom going bankrupt due to poor decisions or merely poor rolls?

More like me adding in some reports from Brevoy, the player characters taking their off time on small side-quests and kobolds mishandling gunpowder.

Played an impromptu free show with a local band last night, opening for Molly Gene. At the end of the supposedly unpaid show, the promoter hands each of the four of us $20. My low expectations have finally paid off. Now I have enough money to do laundry!

Argh! GOG sale marathon!

Thankfully I am going to sleep soon...

Damn. Must close that GOG window before next game on sale shows up...

They drained 11.5 dollar from me in less than hour...

Even more argh! Less than $20 left...

They put some rally game... Not interested in them. And it goes down slowly. It might keep me from buying anything else until I go to sleep.

Back in the Poland there are preparations to reactivate primary Polish roleplaying games magazine after 12 years of inactivity. Magia I Miecz (Sword & Sorcery, or more accurately Sorcery & Sword) will hopefully soon be back.
