A horse is a horse, of course, of course,
And no one can talk to a horse of course
That is, of course, unless the horse is the famous Mr. Ed.

Go right to the source and ask the horse
He'll give you the answer that you'll endorse.
He's always on a steady course.
Talk to Mr. Ed.

People yakkity yak a streak and waste your time of day
But Mister Ed will never speak unless he has something to say.

A horse is a horse, of course, of course,
And this one'll talk 'til his voice is hoarse.
You never heard of a talking horse?

Well listen to this.

I am Mister Ed.

Is it hopeless that I still think I'll see Bruce in the finale?

Not at all. Supes is supposed to inspire hope in people. The writers might pull their heads out their asses long enough to give us at least a cameo.

Sovereign Court

wow, I didn't realize smallville was still playing.

Scarab Sages

And who knows, maybe the next series the CW puts up will be called Gotham!

i find it more strange that I just couldnt get into the show myself, save for the Legion of super heroes ep? Similar situation with supernatural, although to me the show will always be an off the rails version of hunter the reckoning.

They already tried that with birds of prey, and it didn't work.

Good point. I still shudder at the thought of that show.

When it rains it pours...

Up 'til 1:30 am trying to get my 16 yo daughter out of a long-in-the-making depression. Previous attempts have always met with failure, and she refuses professional help. The one-on-one seemed to help her from getting defensive/angry, and I hope we made progress.

I tried hard to show her that she was not alone, there is good out there and in the family, and that no obstacle is insurmountable. She just needs to step back and widen her outlook. She also chases temporary happiness and falls into a funk when it fades. At that age it's so hard to see past the moment.

Of course she was too tired and miserable to make it to school, but if she makes a step forward I'm OK with it.

And, of course, I'm at work. It'll catch up to me this afternoon.

See, zombies are good for more than just ending human civilization.

Actually, I don't hate on Smallville, i just am not into it. I like individual characters and episodes, however. LOVED the way they introduced cyborg, for example. The series rekindled my love of green arrow as well, although his comic is currently about to be dropped.

That's an inspiring story, e7, and one that will help me through the day job today. I'm glad you were able to make progress with her.

Good Morning Aberzombie. Sorry you're all alone here. Internet connection acting up. I was just reading the Misfile comic fan fiction. Great stuff by shadowdragon.

Ironically, I have a simmering anger over Green Arrow. From the very beginning, you can kinda tell that if the use had been approved, it would've been Bruce and not Ollie in the show. Smallville's Ollie has a LOT more in common with Batman than the comic's version of GA. *le sigh*

When you get up in the morning and the light is hurt your head

The first thing you do when you get up out of bed
Is hit that streets a-runnin' and try to beat the masses
And go get yourself some cheap sunglasses
Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah

Spied a little thing and I followed her all night
In a funky fine Levis and her sweater's kind of tight
She had a west coast strut that was as sweet as molasses
But what really knocked me out was her cheap sunglasses
Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah

Now go out and get yourself some big black frames
With the glass so dark they won't even know your name
And the choice is up to you 'cause they come in two classes
Rhinestone shades or cheap sunglasses
Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah

Does anyone here have the new Book of the River Nations: Complete Player's Reference for Kingdom Building? Is there enough new stuff in it to be worth the expense?

I'm more meh over that. The two characters have very, VERY similar backgrounds to the point that writers have to exaggerate to differentiate, making ollie a bit of a liberal pastiche and Bruce grimdark to the nth degree. It's probably what is slowing down the ga movie.

While I understand completely what you mean by 88 ROKIT, I'd strongly advise against it. Someone will think you're endorsing white supremacists.

Is it okay to say "fun pillows" outside of this thread? Why didn't Confucius write a classic on netiquette?

I really liked that webcomic... until it started being entirely about illegal auto racing, and became BORING. Did it ever get back on track with the whole "someone screwed up the ineffable Plan" storyline?

I know I say this EVERY TIME, but I absolutely love that song.

I've heard rumors of a live cover by Rollins Band floating around, but I haven't been able to find it.
