When it comes to children, I think I prefer mystery noises to silence.
The majority of parental stories of toddlers begin "The kid was being quiet..."
I have discovered that if my little one is being quiet, I will most likely find all of my laundry (clean and dirty) strewn throughout the house. >.>
Heh, In MY experience, if your kid is being quiet, your lucky if it's ONLY laundry you find throughout the house! :)
The last time my FIRST infant son was uncharacteristically quiet, (25 years ago) I found him still sitting calmly in his crib, reaching between the slats and happily finger-painting the wall,...
,... with the contents of his diaper.
;P
Needless to say, I have been a staunch supporter of 'The kid is quiet. TOO quiet.' ever since! :)

I accidentally made the most fabulous breakfast things by corrupting a drop biscuit recipe with chocolate chip granola. It turned out to be a muffin-like substance with the taste of a scone: not too sweet but not dry and crumbly like a scone. OM NOM.
I will share the basics here because I love you guys.

Om nom nom....

Busy weekend for me (as fellow pbp'ers may have noted)
Had a great game of Relic on Friday, after meeting a few friends. Relic has smoothed the problems of Talisman, though still not a perfect game, which we somehow got done in under 3 hours.
Saturday was the village beer festival, held at the church. The weather just held so we could sit on the gravestones with our glasses (which depict anatomically correct male deer ploughing a field).
Unfortunately there weren't that many different drinks on offer, with some being mediocre at best (probably go on a Friday next year). But with the teddy bear zip-line and other amusement was fun, just a slight pity I had to leave early.
Leave early, to go to a birthday BBQ - which was the usual fun with minimal rain, lovely food and a few friends.
Sunday was just D&D as usual, although got some XP.
Anyway happy Monday to all you amazing people. May your week be good, any worries or troubles drift away like a wind.

I wonder how one would give stats to an avatar of Ayrzul. Thanks to the Dragon God of Demons' Souls as well as the theory that Ayrzul is actually an undead crystal dragon, I imagined it taking the form of a giant undead dragon. Of course, my other option would be coming up with a herald, but that's less fun than each Elemental Lord having an avatar they can send around to scour the planes while they are busy with their own plots. That, and it seems heavily implied that Ayrzul can't voluntarily leave his current location.

Good morning FAWTLY Folk! Not so happy Monday! The boy was up early and already pissing the woman off (not difficult to do) before I even left this morning. Then a bit of traffic from an accident just a bit before my exit.
so long as you were not a part of the accident. I do not wish for you to be harmed. Turned perhaps, but not harmed.

But he's undead. Harm would heal him.

Don't ask me why, but I lately I have been craving creamed chipped beef on toast. Haven't had any for probably over 20 years, but the other day it popped in my head and I can't get it out.
Do I need help, or should I just give in and make some?
Most certainly, and yes,...
;P

Go find dried beef and make some. But make it pure - no onion flakes or (gag) peas. It's delicious. I don't know why people mock the food of the gods.

that sounds awful but I also understand that the same things are given different names the world over. Please describe what you would like to eat in layman's terms.

Toast covered with a cream sauce containing thinly sliced dried beef. Sorta like biscuits and gravy, but different.
As an aside, if you think that name sounds bad, you could try the military name: S$++ on a Shingle (SOS for short).

Is it the same as corned beef? And peas are delightful either garden or mushy.

No. Chipped beef is simply salted dried beef sliced thin.
Now I must sleep. Good day/night.

you know that kind of cold where the running of your nose leaves you dizzy and cross eyed, with tears in your eye? And all you can do anymore is grab a Kleenex, rip it in half, and just shove each half into a different nostril, abandoning all pretense of dignity?
...suxxorz...
pics or it didn't happen.
