I'm playing kingmaker Saturday.

Of course I play naked. Who doesn't?

Moslem metal bands?

Innuit ice-hockey players?

Swedish cellists?

Who starts drilling in concrete walls at half past seven in the evening?

My neighbour, that's who. *headdesk*

And yet this thread has always sort of sputtered.

Happy Birthday Charlie!

And have fun with the 'terrible Twos' Zombie!

Enjoy the pizza and cake.
(With 2 year olds, they really DO go together!) :D

You want a depressing snow story?

In New Orleans, Lousy-anna, about 16 years ago, they were predicting that it WOULD snow in New Orleans. (It has happened before, but not often.) The weather man said (quote)"It WILL snow tomorrow! There is NO way it can miss us!"(/quote)

Now everyone went into panic mode. Not only do most New Orleanians not have a clue how to drive on ice, but for obvious reasons the state and city do not keep the same road-clearing equipment on hand like our northerly brothers and sisters. (Remember, an inch of snow is a blizzard to these folks)

The (then) mayor crawled out from under his rock, and 'Declared a state or emergency! ALL non-essential personnel must stay home!' Needles to say, I shrugged, I had to go to work in the morning.

It was 80 degrees. The sun was shining. I was the only person in sight on the road. And I still almost had a wreck from laughing so hard.

New Orleans. The ONLY city in the world to shut down on threat of a snowflake. ;P

Slow thread today.

Slow day?

EDIT- Ninjad! ;)

<shakes fist at Scint>

Darn you Scint!

Mini-blitz?

Why not?

Don't mind if I do.

Although this one is likely to be far more 'mini' and less 'blitzy' than most.

Oooh,...
Do you feel the power?!? :D

I'm beginning to see why Zombie likes these so much!

So, much, POWER!

Must use my powers only for good, must use my powers only for good,...

Why must RL always rear it's ugly head and ruin what could have been a perfectly good day?

Well,... a perfectly tolerable day at any rate. ;P

Ah well, perhaps it's for the best.

If I keep this up much longer, I might get addicted to the power. :)

I think the impending snowpocalypse is having an effect.

ARRGH! MINI-BLITZ INTERRUPTUS!

<Sigh>

Power all gone. :(

As Orthos often reminds me, halflings do get a nice bonus to stealth.

The fact that my most recent character is 6'6" has absolutely nothing to do with this. Nope.

What's it called when you argue with yourself and lose?

Right. It's called Thursday.

How come all the songs tend to be about the ends of the week?

Are you not talking to yourself now after your argument?

Of course I'm still talking to myself. Where else would I get decent conversation around here?

I'm talking about me behind my back, though. What a loser.

Maybe I should tone down the sheer number of NPCs I've thrown into this mess.

This is going to take forever.

It would take far less time if I'd close Fawtl, but that would make sense.

And if I started doing things that made sense, it would set a pretty poor precedent for my eventual descent into supervillainy.

You're not supposed to make stupid mistakes like using Earth logic your nemesis can follow until you've already proven yourself a threat.

And this is what happens when I get a snow day.

fify

That very cheap small pizza from Real was quite good for its low price.

It would be even better if I hadn't scorched it.

To explain my earlier post, there's a new employee sitting next to my desk here at work.

And I think I'm in love. I should probably get to knowing her better before asking her out, though.

Good luck!

Dear god.

That incredibly handsome man is oblivious to the danger of the zombie bird!!!!

Run, oh ebony Adonis!! I will hold off this foul unliving avian menace!

Waiting on the predicted storm we're supposed to get.

Specifically, waiting for a snow day to get declared.

Our school district is horrible about this.
After 9 inches they actually called it here.
I repeat my above statement and add an accusation of poor planning against your local traffic department.

LOL!

Colorado Springs is an odd duck in this regard. In spite of living at over 2 KM above sea level [5,740–7,200 ft (1,832 m)] with a fourteener in our back yard this is an amazingly sunny climate.

Colorado Springs, Colorado

Pikes Peak

Locals tend to know how to drive in snowy weather, but we have tens of thousands of military and military dependents so it can get pretty interesting on the roads.

This is also a fairly dry climate so heavy amounts of snow can be a bit challenging here. ;)

very beautiful area

I think so, but we have been increasingly infested with outsiders from another state, and they are hell bent implementing the policies that made their state unlivable in Colorado. It's like watching a train wreck happen.
