Scarab Sages

Cranky zombie is cranky.

Scarab Sages

and nekkid.

Scarab Sages

IF I do end up participating on a regular basis in their game, and take my turn as a DM, I might not be able to restrain myself from trying to kill their characters.

Scarab Sages

And it still might snow tonight. See FHDM! This is what makes you a bad person! You're love of snow and attempts to send it my way are potentially interfering in one of my few opportunities to game.

Scarab Sages

I may have to move to Houston, just to prevent this sort of occurence again.

Scarab Sages

AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Scarab Sages

All right, that enough for now. Gonna go get some more coffee and get to doing...something.

Due to your driving as opposed to hers? :P

The players will just be so enthused to have you participate....I'm sure.

Oh no, why am I looking at prestige classes? I have enough character concepts I'll never have time to play without these...

I also have enough to be doing today without looking at prestige classes.

*passes Scintillae his binder with every Pathfinder prestige class (and a small chunk of the archetypes) Paizo's ever published*

I should probably also stop referring to tiefling and dhampir paladins as a whole as "I hate you, Dad!" Same goes for aasimar assassins and blackguards.

No need for that. I have the srd.

We're not all about the hiefting of axes and pillaging England. Vikings can be devious too.

I should make an aasimar assassin just to make people say that repeatedly.

Did I mention that the whole running-up-and-down-stairs-for-7-hours thing I do on Wednesday can feel a bit gruelling from time to time?

At least I have tasty, wonderful (hard) cider to last me the rest of the month at home.

Or six laxar in a laxask.

Require a bard to recite Fox in Socks.

You are a bard =P

Ah, makes me remember when I was 7 or 8 and couldn't say "R" (so, good thing my parents aren't pirates). I had to go to a speech pedagogue and say things like "En riddare red över Ararats berg."

Every time I got it right, I got a raisin. My classmates were so envious - not only did I get to eat raisins at school hours, I got to skip cursive writing.

Wonder if the kids still have to practice that somewhere.

Chicks with bricks and blocks and clocks come. Look, sir. Look, sir. Mr. Knox, sir. Let's do tricks with bricks and blocks, sir. Let's do tricks with chicks and clocks, sir. First, I'll make a quick trick brick stack. Then I'll make a quick trick block stack. You can make a quick trick chick stack. You can make a quick trick clock stack. And here's a new trick, Mr. Knox....Socks on chicks and chicks on fox. Fox on clocks on bricks and blocks. Bricks and blocks on Knox on box. Now we come to ticks and tocks, sir. Try to say this Mr. Knox, sir....

Ooh. I'd completely forgotten we're getting another Tim Pratt novel this month. Yay!

Not trying to have a blitz here. Just feeling a bit lightheaded.

Remember what happened to Sigismund. ;)

For anyone interested who's got no idea of who Sigismund was:
...he got to reign as king of Poland for several decades (after his uncle kicked him out of Sweden to take that crown for himself

Being a Swedish king with younger brothers basically never ends well.

Can't wait to see what Carl Philip will do once Victoria becomes queen. Crash his Porsche into one of her hubby's gyms? Make loud farting noises the first time she hands out the Nobel prizes? Marry a teenage mail-order bride from Russia and get in trouble with the mafija?

See, it's like this....

When they invited me, I right away got it in my head to play a dwarf fighter. I told them this. They said that was cool. Then one of them suggested maybe I'd want to look at playing a ranger. I said I'd think about it.

I have two Wizkids PF dwarf minis - the dwarf fighter and Harsk. I planned to roll up characters based on each one. I did so. Also rolled up a dwarven cleric, just for s*+$s and giggles.

I mentioned all this in an email to the guys. Since then they've gone bat s~!% annoying telling me how to optimize the character, and that maybe I should go with the ranger, and use these weapons, and take these feats, oh and change him to human since that works better.

After awhile, I just stopped responding to their emails. They continued on merrily for awhile back and forth to each other, making sure to at least CC me.

They've stopped for now. But, good lord, it made me almost reconsider participating.

Bleh. I don't know if I could play a game where other people decided they knew what was best for my character. Sure, I might not have the most optimized character, but my character won't be a liability, so leave him alone. :P

Can't stop listening.

It's kinda funny to realise that back in my teens, that song would have appeared in pretty much every sit-com or Grey's Anatomy style drama on TV. (Except Friends, who kept using U2...)

I left the house before 0700, and I got back around midnight.

It's incredibly depressing to see the process in action.

All I can say is that if I sense a train wreck in progress, I want to be in as much control of said wreck as possible.

Whether it's to mitigate or maximize the damage depends on context.
