Sorry to hear that, FHDM. On the plus side, I won my e-bay bit for Mechwarrior 4 and Mechcommander I & II. So FHDM, what setup do you use when you play Mechwarrior?

1.- Pick Daishi

2.- Put PPCs in every critical slot. EVERY. SLOT.
3.- Heat Dissipation? Off with that sorcery. I want my cannons to kill, not to make popsickles.
4.- Aim at friend's mech, probably some pansy nanny Kitfox or something
5.- Hit ALPHA STRIKE while laughing into the headset
6.- Daishi turns into superheated plasma

After that, I realised that heat disipation was maybe not that bad. Though I still remember filling the thing with PPCs and shooting from inside a lake in MW3 to get some extra seconds before "ALL SYSTEMS SHUTTING DOWN" and consequently exploding.

rotfl!

nekkid mechwarrior laughter for top

I am a pilot. I use joystick and keyboard, not point and click.

I was thinking about picking up a SAITEK X52 FLIGHT CONTROL SYSTEM when I had the chance. ~shudders at what responses FHDM might come up with as I think about what I am to say next~

~clears my throat and shudders in terror~

Ummmm... ~sighs~ Get it over with.

What kind of "joystick" do you suggest, FHDM?

I believe I use an old-school ch flightstick pro 2. it is starting to show its age, however. I am strongly considering getting a new stick t use and to re install the game on to my netbook.

What was that about "joystick" and Joss Whedon? ~shocked look~ FREEHOLD?!? I never knew!

yes, I would gladly use my archaic joystick to bludgeon joss whedon into a fine porridge. does this disturb you somehow?

Day off!!! WOOT!!!!

Gonna do some sight seeing type stuff.

Where's my f###ing wife!?

When in Japan, my rule of thumb is this: Assume each and every Japanese person you come across is a ninja, until disproven. Because you can't prove they are a ninja without them killing you. So you have to disprove they are and hope for the best.

Scarab Sages

If we get the chance, my friend here in Japan is going to take us to see this famous area where they have these cool whirlpools - like the largest ones in the world. They form in a channel between two bays. When the tide moves in and out, the water takes so long to reach and/or leave the innermost bay that the channel to it sees all these whirlpools form. There's an old bridge that goes over the channel, which is where the place gets its name from - starts with an "s", not sure how to spell it. There's also a new bridge with glass-floored observatory so you can look down at the whirlpools.

Scarab Sages

Eventually, when I get back to the states, I'll post many pictures of my time here.....on FACEBOOK!

Scarab Sages

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.......

Scarab Sages

OK, gotta go get ready for the day....

Been an okay day, trying to think of a name for the Vikings / Scandinavians of my own setting.

Already named some others, though all names subject to change if I get better ideas to replace the ones I don't like.

Tenot / Tenotian = Egyptian
Fial / Fialish = French
Parthea / Parthean = Greece
Remia / Remian = Ancient Rome
Calth / Calthic = Celtic (Not too proud of this one)
Anglia / Anglian = British / American (So unoriginal it hurts)
Manos / Human = Babylonian (See what I did there with the adjective form?)

Hey, if Robert E. Howard can get away with it, you can.

Do you know how I found this out? It was raining yesterday, and I stepped in a puddle. Wet socks all day is very uncomfortable.

Where they Bramas per chance? I bought a pair on the road from Walmart for ~ $50 and BOTH soles split in about a week. I exchanged them for another pair, and they fell apart too. I can't see myself ever buying Bramas ever again. It's sad, but they used to build a pretty good work boot.

Agreed. During my short-lived run as a scaffold rat at SW&B during the summer of 2011, I went through three pairs of Brahmas in two and a half months. Not worth the leather they're made from.

So... If I play my cards right, I might be working as Steve Ellis' studio assistant starting in May or June...

It all really depends on whether or not I can take two days out of my work schedule starting in May, as well as whether or not he can cover my gas money, and whether or not he still needs an assistant by then.

I will, however, be taking an independent study with him next semester through the university.

Damn skippy it is, and we have a new Comic/Game shop opening up less than 1/2 mile from our house tomorrow. I think my kids are as excited about this as I am.

Awesome! Have fun!

It's a good thing I'm a moderately humble guy - if I weren't I'd be compelled to take some pictures to show off how sexy I look in my new knee-high thermo-socks. Oh yeah!

Good bye City of Heroes. You will be missed. I am glad that I was able to be there for the last few hours of the game. Thanks for all the good times and all the friends.
