Congratulations! The courage to make the tough decision is what will bring you the happiness you deserve.

Morning all!

CH: I know it was a hard descision, but if you feel it was the best one, then it probably was. Don't waste any time on regrets. =)

Can you develop dyslexia in later life? I am transposing letters an awful lot lately, and I can't seem to figure out why. =/

Liberty's Edge

Probably a good thing that the decision has been made one way or another CH.

Heath, sorry to hear about your M&M emergency, hope the kid is ok?

If it is any consolation it was not all your fault. Joking around a bit is fine (the whole Star Wars thing was funny and really didn’t waste too much time) but players should know it is bad form to talk over the top of the GM; arrive late, interrupt the game and expect a recap of what has been happening (especially when this happens to one degree or another three times); have conversations across the table about off topic things; and not know what their character will do or how it will work when it gets to their turn in combat (especially when it is taking one hour to play a round of combat – people, you have that long to figure out what you are going to do when it is your turn).

I’m not sure whether I should post a rant to the shadowhound board or post some constructive feedback on how to speed up game play.

It was good to talk smack to Magnimarans and kick some Red Mantis butt though. I wish I’d stuck around long enough to take down that damn crossbow guy …

CH: +1 to the monkey's words, even if it doesn't seem it now, you probably made the best choice for you long term.

Hmmmm, I do that sometimes to Monkey, normally when I'm real tired. Have you been getting enough good rest lately?

We live we learn, I do the same things from time to time. I like to keep a broadsword close at hand, when I pick that up everybody pays attention.... especially when I throw back my chair and scream "There can be only ONE!!"

CH: I'm a little confused. What are you going to do now?

Move. We've been talking about going west for over a year. I want to use the degree and experience I already have, instead of complacently staying in a job and place I don't like.

I may give it another shot and try to get into a school that more closely aligns with my goals, but that one wasn't it.

The packing slip for my Carrion Crown 2 shipment had a kitty sticker on it. I blame Cosmo.

I stayed too long in a job I hated, I stayed because I liked the people I worked with... I ended up resenting them even-though it wasn't their fault. I finally got my courage up and moved on. It was best thing I ever did. I was happier had a better attitude and got promoted a few months into new job.

Good luck and have fun :-)

You just described every week at my Tuesday night group. It seems no one else sees it as a annoyance save me. Due to a scheduling conflict we played Talisman last time. In that game you're expected to talk smack as you plan the downfall of the other players. That setting felt like it suited the group's style better.

*sigh*

I have a basket hilted replica 19thC Scottish "claymore" I should get that out of the cupboard.

When we were getting married Mrs 8th Dwarf wanted a Jane Austin style wedding with a bit of wiccan ceremony thrown in - there was no way I was wearing a penguin suit so I wore a kilt and claymore... My gifts to my groomsmen were a Sgian dubh and a hip-flask full of whiskey.

Yeah; so far so good.

Prolly no big deal; she's on antibiotics and whatnot.

"m and m's.....melt in your sinuses, not on your hands."

To me, THIS says, "Studpuffin."

Heathy: Yeah, I agree with your GP approach. Irrigation and antibiotics? The only base not covered is significant tissue damage. And that thar GP has a shiny light lookie-thingie.

Why do penguins scream puffins to you? You plants and mammals are all the same. Can't tell the difference between a semi aquatic avian of the north atlantic, genus Fratercula, and some blubber torpedo from the south seas that loves musicals and going into extinction.

CH: Bold move. Either way, something will change, I hope for the better. It's got to be a relief to have made the decision, anyway. Good luck!

Crashy: Hope you're feeling better.

8th: I know that feeling! I found that there's one person whose absence makes the game run much smoother, though I didn't realize that that person was the primary problem until the absence. Now I need to figure out how to address it. Short of murder, that is.

Mairk: Never confuse penguins and puffins. It makes puffins grumpy. OTOH, be comforted in the knowledge that I am torturing the puffin for you. His character's girlfriend just gave him a concubine as a wedding present. His fiancée knows nothing about any of this. Should be fun.

Heathy: Glad everything came out alright, and hope nothing further develops. It could have been worse. My great-aunt stuck a dried bean up her nose as a child. The bean rehydrated and swelled - it was murder to get it out. So much so that the story is over a century old.

Lindisty: With this thread, the best bet is to pick up at the end. No point rereading posts.

Zombie: What happened to braaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiinsssssssssssssss? I miss it.

Woody: congrats on the success of your wellness/fitness program to date, and keep it up. Feels good to feel good, doesn't it?

LPM and Solnes: Good to see you guys posting again!

Puffin: Hungry? I am.

Apparently SM ran out of star stickers. And I got awesome SM cat drawing in addition to cat sticker.:)

EDIT: I am pretty sure I got the orange cat drawing because she only had one orange sticker and someone else already had asked for it.

Spent the entire day with my husband. We finally broke down and bought some non-traditional wedding rings today.

Here's an example of why I hate the Post Office and think it should be abolished:

Something I ordered was shipped from the West Coast on Monday, 11 April. Tracking records show it arrived in Philadelphia on 13 April. So, that's 2 days to cross the country! Today is 16 April, and I have yet to see my package. That's 3 days after it arrived in Philly. I'm hoping I'll see it on Monday, but you never know.

So, to recap - 2 days to cross an entire country, but at least 4 days to cross one city.

WTF?!?!

I rest my case.
