Good luck with your classes this year, Lynora. Hopefully, your professor was making an idle threat.

Thanks. Unfortunately I've known too many folks who have already taken these classes. The professors aren't exaggerating at all. This is not going to be an easy semester. And they're all going to be like this now. This is my last year at the community college and then I'll be (hopefully) taking engineering classes which aren't exactly known for being easy. Guess I should get used to it now.

I hear you. I got to the point when Japanese was my fun and easy class. When we had to take our technical elective (an engineering course that wasn't in our main area of study) our two choices were statics and thermodynamics. Thermodynamics actually has some bearing on computer science and engineering. It would be more useful than studying the physics of static systems. But Statics was a 1000 level course. Thermodynamics was a 3000 level course. With an average courseload of 18 credit hours in engineering...I took the wimp's way out and took statics.

So you took the static route to stay out of the hot pan?

Liberty's Edge Contributor, RPG Superstar 2012

Out of the frying pan and into the statics.

What is the probability of that?

Liberty's Edge Contributor, RPG Superstar 2012

It depends on the size of the frying pan and the moon phase.

Let's do the calculations.

Liberty's Edge Contributor, RPG Superstar 2012

I left my slide rule in my other desk.

I see the sine that you are trying to go off a tangent. But in this case, I will let it slide.

Liberty's Edge Contributor, RPG Superstar 2012

Will you cosine my loan, then?

Understandable. :)

I know they're going to be a lot of work, but I'm okay with the math and chem classes. It's the programming class that worries me. I have zero experience with it and already have lots of catch-up to do. :/
But I needs it for my major so I'll just have to figure it out fast.

Well, there's lots of us programming types here, actually. so ask us for help! :D I can't tell you how many times I asked some programming questions in Paizo chat as well, and got either an answer or a new avenue of investigation! Put our lazy butts to work for you! ;)

Not to go off on a tangent, but this exchange is an example of why I keep coming back here. :)

With Freehold DM, that is just what I x-pected. We always know what the unknown is with him.

He needs to coordinate better.

It's kind of nice when your variables are so easily determined.

Yes, but what is the function of his hate? Perhaps we could solve that.

Joss Whedon + Alton Brown = FreeholdDM's hate

taig wrote:

Perhaps we could transform that hate, but then he would be very resistant to that. Does he have the capacitance to change? Maybe we could induce something in him.

I might charge him for this. But then we would have to change the amplitude of this argument.

Liberty's Edge Contributor, RPG Superstar 2012

Freehold's also sigmafied his hatred of statistics.
