No matter where the Army may have plunked me, New England was always my home. Dirty water, dirty politics, dirty rotten scoundrels nonwithstanding

Ohio has faded from 'home' to 'the place I grew up', and Georgia is just 'where I have friends', while Texas is still only 'where I work'. We'll see where I go from here.

Shadow Lodge

The Internet is more my home these days than any physical place. Specifically a handful of websites I spend most of my free time on - two are my NWN server communities (one of those however is quickly fading out of "home" status), while the others are places I happen to have friends. FAWTL is one of them.

Physical locations in the real world are just where I happen to live and keep all my stuff. I have no real attachment to any IRL location, and as long as I have a job and can afford wherever my residence is comfortably*, I'm satisfied. But I have more connection to people I know online 99% of the time than to any person or place outside.

That might change in the future if I ever find a place I actually care about.

*:
My standard of living's pretty low. As long as I have a roof, food and water, plumbing, income, and internet I'm happy; I don't need a lot of space, just enough for my desk and a bed and a bathroom, looking for a studio apartment once I get in a financial situation where I can move.

You are a poet.

Also, what's your excuse for not being at the con this year?

What's your excuse for not paying for my trip?

Shadow Lodge

It's a recession, fewer people can pay for lawyers. WON'T YOU THINK OF THE POOR LAWYERS?

"Where's the group photo?"

"It's traditionally done on Sundays."

"Break Tradition."

I didn't mean to take NO GROUP PHOTOS.

I tell ya.

One of these days, someone's going to employ me.

And I'll be able to afford to show up.

It will be fun.

Your liver may hate you.

But it will be fun.

Stay thirsty, my friends.

Quote of the Session:

"What's the range on a thrown stingray?"

Well, if you can get a good spin on it, a stingray kind of acts like a frisbee and you can get some decent distance.

Source: I have actually seen a guy take a small (8" diameter or so) stingray and frisbee it off a pier.

If you can find a Barnes and Noble Bookstore nearby you might be able to get it there. The one near me carries it.

This one was size Medium, so probably closer to a 6' diameter.

What is the range on a thrown Ixitxachitl? Do you have to be able to pronounce it?

I can pronounce "it" just fine, thanks.

Ai-tee?

I pronounce it "that stingray aquatic monster that I don't use".

Spoiler:
It might have something in common with the fact that my games rarely involve large amounts of water and for such cases there are other aquatic monsters that I'll use.

Good morning FAWTLY Folk! Happy Tuesday! Back at work and have a lot of catching up to do, so I may not be around much today.

Scarab Sages

Also: Ugh! Beginning to think I didn't escape the con unscathed. Or at least the journey back. Starting to feel like crap this morning.

Good morning, all! How's Tuesday treating you so far?

I'm about to head into a day full of meetings which will require me to exercise all of my tact muscles. Wish me luck!

Shadow Lodge

Breakfast eaten, caffeine processing.

Time to close Paizo and get some work done. See you guys around lunchtime.

Silver Crusade

Morning, all. What did I miss?

*blink*

Well, back from PaizoCon. It was a blast meeting everyone in the flesh and sitting down to game with them. We resident FAWTLians explained our threads to some curious folks, so we might get some visitors soon ( hopefully!)

I am exhausted, but in a happy way. My throat is sore, but I'm hoping that is an after effect of all the cheering at the banquet.

To everyone who might be thinking about PaizoCon 2013, I would highly reccommend it. I myself am itching to go again, and I'm going to see if I can

Off to do some neglected weeding!

Maybe home later today, but a small price to pay.

Silver Crusade

O'Hare said hi? All it ever says to me are four letter words.

I don't think we've had an official greeting since Lillith stopped posting here frequently, so....

Welcome dinketry. Now give Aberzombie your brain, aeglos your clothes, and Drejk your pocket money.

FreeholdDM will soon be around to take care of your booze.

Then jump a lap around the thread on one leg while chanting, "There's no business like Sebastian's business," and you're all in.
