Hello. 72 hours from now I'll be landing in Seattle for PaizoCon! :)

Oh, just because while I was there I also asked for a concealed carry application. In a Pinkie Pie voice.

god, I miss the con. I haven't missed a con like this in years.

As much as I hate forgotten realms, I second this. Greenwood has brought a lot of life to the world, while I can't say I'll ever play it, I do think his fans should have a greenwood edition.

For those of you going to PaizoCon, bring back some juicy tidbits, especially anything on new products, modules, sourcebooks, etc. See if you can find anything about D&D fifth edition. I've heard this week that Ed Greenwood is being given free reign on redesigning the Forgotten Realms.

I hope it's true.

Which pill did you take again, the red or the blue one?

WotC giving free reign?

My sides hurt from wracking laughter. I'm going to need some awesome wishes from you, too.

It came up in one of my Facebook groups. It seems some playtester was booted off the D&D 5E group for speaking his mind about the 4E Forgotten Realms setting. It looked pretty ligit from the tone and inflection in his post. I'll see if I can find it.

Ah found it.

D&D FR NEXT?:
Chef Jack Butler

I just got booted from D&D 5E playtesting for the abominable crime of mentioning how great a thing it was that Ed Greenwood has been given a free hand rewriting the Forgotten Realms, because the 4E version really stank.

Apparently that comment was "edition warring". Meh... I thought that comment was simply the truth (and given the low, low sales figures on the 4E FR book, so did most people).

Actually I bumped in Ed last year at Gen Con. Right out of the blue as it happened watching him buy miniatures. Hope to see him again this year too, in clothing.

:)

Greenwood doesn't burn on the Forth of July. Drywood however does.

Fire Elementals anyone?

Swiping this one from Facebook.

"Rust Monsters and Chastity Belts do not go well together..."

My reply: Actually the Demon Prince of Seduction would disagree...

Next time the aunts and uncles are over they sleep someplace else than my apartment or my parents had better get some proper mattresses for me to sleep on. *rubs achy shoulder*

Oh, don't get me started on chastity belt removal. The number of times I got swatted by a broom held by some overprotective chaperone...

Would you happen to have the direct link? Sometimes it helps reading what's going on in the discussion thread for context.

Ah, that's a crapshoot to search for it at this point given its activity frequency. You can actually link to a direct thread using the timestamp.

To use an example here.

Well, Max's trip home from Europe took an interesting turn when he was forced to switch from a commercial plane to a cargo plane carrying live farm animals. Meanwhile, Holger's flight to the States took an interesting turn when, while flying over the Bermuda Triangle, the plane became the lead in a duck "v" formation for several dozen miles. Meanwhile, Jason's attempt to escape from Kansas using a catapult....No, wait! That's my soap opera!
I really want to see Jason's attempts to escape Kansas using a catapult....

No you don't. The easiest shot is Oklahoma, and that is NOT an improvement.

Catapult? I thought Jason was going to ride a Nuclear Ballistic Missile.

Yes, however those old silo's for sale are waaaaaaaaaay to close to Topeka for my sanity.

Just finished paying off one of my two college loans last Friday.

Just waiting on the paperwork to sign and send off to Sallie Mae, then this thing should be done.

Now to get rid of the other one and my surgery bill.

The daycare said to keep him home, so the wife stayed with him today. If he doesn't get any better then I'm probably gonna have to stay tomorrow. Sucks, but what can you do?

hi everyone,

save and sound in NY Hotel

it was a long day and we already did some sightseeing, we were on top of the general electrics builduing at sundown with hundreds of other german tourists

walkedto time square (it was full of germqn tourists)

bought a small sandwich a can of Dr.Peppers and a bottle of water for 22$ O.O
and yes other german tourists where in the shop, too

the pakistani taxi driver spoke german because he had lived some years in my home state
:-)

now very very tired

FHDM, CH,
when and where ?

Welcome stateside Aeglos!

Welcome to the USA aeglos. I hope that your stay here is a good one.

Silver Crusade

Welcome, Aeglos!

No buying food in Time Square! They will milk you for all the cash you can fork over!

Seriously, though, it sounds like you're having fun already.

I think FHDM was saying 7:30 and was saying something about Chinatown, but I'm pretty sketchy on those details myself. FHDM! We expect you to coordinate here! I've only been to Chinatown 2 or 3 times and I don't know the good spots.

(Unless the plan is to meet elsewhere and that is fine too. I just remember Chinatown coming up somewhere along the line...)

preverably someplace easy to reach with our minimal knowledge

The Exchange

Simple idea why not meet at your hotel and then go somewhere from there. That way the tourists don't have to get lost.

Directions for Aeglos:

First, find the secret passage to Diagon Alley.

Follow it 7 and a half blocks east.

At the gate, speak the secret word to the ogre.

Swim 134.6 strokes into the middle of the East River.

Once there, a trawling vessel captained by a skipper named Lars will fish you from the water and conduct you to a hidden island.

Sacrifice a chicken.

Enter the portal of Fgarlaghn and then take the third left.

Best cup of coffee in the city.

I kid! We'll make sure you know where to go.
