Spoiler:
No, I recalculated your post-ARG race points, and you hadn't spent one of your points. So now you speak four.

So yeah, I loved X-men back in the 80's and Teen Titans of that era as well. They have all gotten a bit silly. DC I used to think at least tried to fix the problems they made with the long continuity, yet they keep fixing it, and "fixing" it. Most of the X-titles have gotten a bit extreme with the amount of characters and characters coming back from the dead.

Oh yeah, Deadpool was a rip off of Ambush Bug.

Shadow Lodge

Who?

Freaking switch hitting kung fu panda.

Spoiler:
I really am talking about baseball.

Sadly the only comics I have read are neither DC nor Marvel. I enjoy the horror stuff, I read "The Walking Dead" years before it was tv show. I love Hellboy, I am currently reading "Invincible" which is entertaining. And I have read and enjoyed vertigos "Sandman" by Neil Gaiman.

Cheer up, Patrick! Just think, in a little over a week we'll be at PaizoCon. Maybe the dude responsible for your funk will be there. If so, you can hold him down while I write "thou shalt not be a douchbag and mislead thy customers" in permanent marker on his face.

Scarab Sages

Following that, we tar & feather him, and hang him from a nearby flagpole so people can walk past and pay $1 each to throw rotten fruit at him. After a day of that, we take him down and throw him in a pit with gamers who've been deprived of munchies and mountain dew for an entire week.

Scarab Sages

Then we get nasty.

Scarab Sages

That where Sebastian comes in.

Scarab Sages

Speaking of whom.....

Scarab Sages

Don't he love us no more??? He doesn't call. He doesn't write.

Scarab Sages

Beautiful morning here in Philly. Sunny and in the 60s.

Scarab Sages

Too bad I'm almost at work. Later.

Liberty's Edge

Morning, FAWLTies. I hope I haven't missed anything important.

Morning, all.

Dear Princess Celestia,

Last night I learned that adding CRs together doesn't really work for making an appropriately challenging encounter.

Morning folks. Off to treat a hotel, then have a termite job to do. Fun.

Seems like some of us are having bad days lately.

I think we need a jacuzzi. It's awfully hard to be upset when you're lounging in a jacuzzi with a beverage of your choice.

gestures to an unused corner and tells the workmen who've suddenly appeared to install the jacuzzi there

I'll be back when it's finished. Until then, I'm off to my own work. :)

Cool. I have to roll up one

In other news, I am going to exercise some restraint. The problem is me and I am looking surlier and trollier the long I stay in a certain thread. Time to cut my losses and bail

I think it's more that we rolled stats and CRs are calculated off 15-Point buy. >_> Might want to presume Party Level +1 or so for a bit. =)

On the other hand, the NPC nailing Finesse-based monsters with a tanglefoot bag in the first round is a great way to nerf the encounter.

Yep, I've been out since yesterday. Not worth the frustration. I got what I came for and had my say, and really did we need more proof that you can't persuade anyone over the internet. Hid the entire forum to help resist the urge to peek.

And if the monk wasn't in the splash zone, she'd've just bombed them. Would've been an appropriate challenge then the way I was rolling. Sheesh.

All part of the learning experience. =) You'll get the hang of it in time.

I'm sure Sebastian can get you off.

Stay tuned to MTV for our next hit show.... Pimp My Pony!

This has me salivating for Bronycon. I'm sure someone will do something similar to that.

I love the Marvel characters... I just find the writing, and the lack of coherent plot.... how to put this in terms you'll get?

Giving him Astonishing X-Men was the worst move ever.

It's allllllllllll part of the process. CR is a guideline, not a solid formula.

CR is not a science. You can't use mathematical equations to determine an appropriate challenge.

It's intuition, knowledge, experience, all wrapped up in feeling. CR is magic.
