Naked bible studies? Even as an atheist I think that's wrong. (Although there're a few bits in Psalms... ;) )

Scarab Sages

Good morning FAWTLY Folk! Happy Friday! Or at least I hope it's happy for most of you. Mine will be mixed. I get to stay home with the boy, but he's sick, and I'm still recovering from a cold as well.

Scarab Sages

Not much time for a post blitz. The boy requires attention.

Scarab Sages

Bye for now.

Are you certain there's separation?

I was DMing. My players were loading flaming midden into the catapults on the battlements at Oleg's. Am I excused?

To which the preacher replied:

"No, we like our Bible straight. You know, in the original English."

This reminds me of the people who denounce anything that's not the original King James Version... even where the original text disagrees with the KJV due to translation errors or misreadings.

Spoiler:
I prefer the NKJV because it's a little less hard on the reading, with less of the Old English style. But I have several translations, mostly ASV variations and I think one NIV somewhere lying around. Tends to help I've found.

No direct Greek-to-English translations, sadly, though I've known people who owned them.

And it's done. Circle K has generously given me two weeks vacation time. When I return to finish my seperation papers, I will short one job and two teeth.

Saturday, I travel to Wyoming.

] kingmaker fistbump what's the name of your kingdom? My players have styled themselves the lords of verlandia. Their heraldry looks a lot like the Microsoft windows xp generic background, but with a river running through it and a sun in the corner.

They haven't named themselves as a group yet. Probably because they haven't considered it, though ICly I imagine it's because the Druid isn't with them so they can't discuss it. She is due to arrive in a day or two (her player had a family emergency and had to miss the first session, so she'll be arriving with Kesten and his troops).

sadly, no.

My players had him(kesten) killed in a particularly ugly fit of pc metagaming paranoia.

checks in from her front porch

I love my work at home Fridays. There's nothing better than setting up the laptop on the front porch and watching the world go by whilst still being productive.

I doubt it'll be an issue for my players, unless he twigs the Magus's anxiety, then who knows what'll happen. They're already eagerly looking forward to finding Kressle, after hearing Svetlana's stories. I doubt her end will be as... heh... "messy" as Happs's.

I'm off today, but I am going to a memorial for my wife's aunt. A heavy and sad occasion.

Positive waves sent your way Freehold. Hope the memorial helps you bring some closure and good memories as you celebrate your wife's aunt's life.

I've been tempted to try it, but I'm bad with coming up with ideas on command, it's more one of those "have to be inspired" things.

Augh. Tough morning. My alarm clock has this malfunction where if it reaches the end of the playlist it thinks that it's still going off, but no sound is coming out. This is only a problem when it reaches the end of the playlist within the first couple of minutes because that's just not enough time for me to process that this sound isn't part of my dream. So this was one of those mornings. Kidlet got to school a half hour late. :(

And it's going to be a rough day for him because it was supposed to be field day, which he's been looking forward to, but it's raining.

I really hope I can finagle things so I can go see Snow White and the Hunstman tonight. My sister-in-law thinks I'm nuts cause I like to go to the movies alone, but it works for me. Plus, there are so many better reasons to think I'm nuts. :)

My wife may have found a nice leather chair an ottoman on craig's lit for cheap as a nice father's day gift going to look at it tonight. Wish me luck. Hope it works out it will be nice to have a spot to do some quiet reading.

I did go to a doctor. Is it wierd I like getting an Ekg for some reason. I think the alarm clock should have a loop setting.

I like playing gran turismo alone. If there is someone watching me I start crashing more.

Thank you, everyone. She was a wonderful woman, although I didn't get to know her very well. My father in law is coming up for the memorial and he is quite sad. He said that my wife is so very much like her, so they will probably be spending a lot of daddy daughter time together. Her final wish was that noone mourn her and have a good time at her memorial, but I don't know if that's going to happen.
