Jokey the Unfunny Comedian wrote:

A man and his son have been estranged for many years. Neither of them are quite sure when or why they stopped talking to each other. Then one day, the son gets the news that his father is dying. The son sells everything that he has to afford the plane tickets he needs to get to the city where his father is. After several hour-long delays, the son finally manages to make his way to the hospital, and into his dad's room.

The son says, "Dad, I'm here."

His father responds, "Hello Here, I'm Dad."

The man then remembers why he stopped talking to his father and leaves.

I wonder if this is really a joke. I think it was a real thing.

I didn't know you had a son, Jokey.

BTW, I laughed way too much with the last one. I have a soft spot for bad jokes. The worse, the better.

it was definitely a groan-er.

Why, sure he do!

I was conceived in a sodium oxide mine, which makes Jokey my soda pop!

And my mommy used to insist that he was cleansed (internally and externally) with two different types of charcoal before the Act of Love could commence, which makes him my bicarbonate of soda pop! Hee ha ho ho hu!

No, it is you who have lost.

You just can't seem to win for all your losing.

We should start saying very inadequate things so this thread got locked and somebody could win.

Then I must be also, 'cause I too snickered at your choice of word.

And remember, 'mud' spelled backwards is 'dum'.

I must confess I haven't read all the pages... but I'm sure nobody has used words as dirty as mine!

You've read all 432 pages wow you should just win by default.

I've read that there are 432 pages, if that counts.

No, I haven't read ALL the pages, but I have read about the first fifty or so.
(It was page ten I was thinking of)
And later a few posts even got removed by the moderators.

Somewhere there's an earnest and beleaguered graduate student in the humanities who has read all 432 pages of this thread for their dissertation, tentatively entitled "Long Day's Journey Into Nowhere: Ludic Infinitude in Online Communities - An Anthropoliterary Theoretical Approach."
