but i want to know how the post-by-post thing worked and how do the games start?

A game typically begins by working its way through three forums.
First a potential GM will pitch an idea in the Gamer Connection forum. Once he has enough people interested and a group chosen they will start a thread in the Play by Post Discussion forum. That thread is for group planning and further talk among players and the GM that isn't directly part of the action of the game. Once the GM is ready to start, he creates a thread in the Play by Post forum. That is where the actual story of the game will take place.
So for now if you are looking for one, keep an eye on the Gamer Connection thread and keep in mind that they often fill up fast. If you see one you like express your interest quickly.
