Guns and AC

Gunslinger Discussion: Round 1

I would rather see them ignore dex than armor, natural armor, and shields. The reason is that I can't see people dodging bullets. It would also get rid of the bullets bypassing high AC monsters automatically.

PS:I know arrows are hard to dodge also. Making touch attacks with a full BAB class is pretty much as automatic hit also.

There is already a category for ranged touch attacks and touch AC.

IMHO using flat-footed AC for firearm rules is kinda goofy. Furthermore it's a major nerf to their current power. Considering they already lag behind archer builds making them functionally inferior to archer fighters just seems like a bad move.

They can make other changes to up the damage, but no class should be hitting on a 2 as a part of its regular attacks. That way things even out.

Just about every class hits on a 2 in their first attack, though, and gun reloading being what it is, that first attack is all you have.
