Yeah, they're pretty much up there. I'm not sure if we've seen V cast 8th level spells.

thejeff,
Dammit! I missed that huh? Okay well when we hit 8th level spells, we know we're getting there.

I think you missed my post last page gents.
V has been casting Prismatic Spray for 3 years in real time now.

V barred Conjuration, too. That's why they can't teleport.

V has been casting Prismatic Spray for 3 years in real time now. Saw it after I posted, but left it up to point out it was in the most recent strip.
I figured V had used something 8th level, but couldn't think of anything offhand.

Oh, this was heartbreaking. That's going to take a toll on the crew, and Bandanna in particular.
Also, that's two. There were three. The one who evidently hasn't jumped yet had what looked like a big white beard, and is probably the senior giant. So...be afraid.

The giant has a point. Any reasonable high level fighter should be able to eat 20d6 damage. Especially if they were as smart as Roy likes to pretend to be and got a cheap pair of boots of the cat or a ring of feather fall. Especially when other members of his team have done so.
I'm looking forward to a:
(X.X)
... next comic~!
(Specifically a giant's face doing that.)

2) He had eaten a lot of damage from the lich.
3) No argument about the ring, of course. My fighter/cleric in full plate had necklace of adaptation and ring of feather fall on his shopping list almost from the start. Something about Climb and Swim checks being a thing.

Come on. What sort of warrior could not even handle a little fall ?

Mind you we don't really know how high up they are imo. A little fall could end up being mouch more than that.

Of course, if the ground is spiky, the GM has grounds to add to that. And it is a mountainous region.

I'm fully expecting
Roy: look out for that pointy ridge
Giant: which Ridge (splat)
Roy: So much for it being a little fall.

If it was nethack, the ground would not only be spiked, the spikes would also be poisoned.
