Too bad, as well. Nottinstory's stalwart defender, Sir Not-Appearing-In-This-Film, was ready to assist them.

#1045 Studying Up
*snicker*
No matter how vigorously Roy waves his sword around, he just can't make it shoot.

Manny,
Yes his dad is back. Who is a jerk.
For Roy though, at least he can make his sword glow. I know a few barbarians that would kill to do that.

We just need V's vignette now to have the full collection.
I much preferred the X-team's recent strips to be quite honest

Sad, but I am so proud of V right now. V is finally growing up and realizing what is important. Who knows, maybe V's relationship can be fixed eventually. Go V!!!
Please not another previously Evil emo elf.
Do we need to collect all the tropes ?
Less oots characterization. More action and sarcasm.
V was especially good at being sarcastic. Let's not mellow that in the name of love

Of course he had to say "his or her salt," while I wonder if V's sex will ever be revealed at the end of the series, here's hoping it won't be!

V isn't emo, V is regretful.
baron arem heshvaun wrote: Of course he had to say "his or her salt," while I wonder if V's sex will ever be revealed at the end of the series, here's hoping it won't be! Agreed. I'm hoping that we never find out.
I think it's good to see V having regrets. It's a reminder that most real people generally don't make huge sacrifices to save the world. They make huge sacrifices to save the people that they care about.

The BRiF commentary explicitly refers to V as genderqueer. I don't think their physical sex is ever going to come into play.
I am a bit surprised that the poster V is contemplating does not include their children.
Also emo = emotional ;-)

He probably has separate regret posters for each of them, and contemplates each poster in a cycle.

It references a genre of music and associated subculture. If one wants to call someone emotional, using "emo" is misleading. "Emo" is also often used in a derogatory fashion relative to everything from being "oversensitive" to various mental illnesses (such as depression). I mean you can use whatever word you want, but the word you chose to use carries connotations that are going to be read into it because you chose to use that word.
Not to be overly serious or anything.

Not to be overly serious or anything. I see your point and hope I did not offend anyone and I apologize if I did as it is not my intent. I checked on Wikipedia but the derogative aspect did not appear that strongly to me. Sorry for that
I was thinking of Elric of Melniboné and maybe Ddrizzt (I do not know enough about that character to be sure)

To me, "emo" means "overwrought", with a "whiny" connotation. Like, "emo teenagers".

Well, just within the category of RPG-related webcomics, Darths and Droids updates Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday.

I grew up as a fan of an obscure musical subculture called emo-core.
It was, ultimately, about sincerity and a certain kind of d.i.y. punk rock.
Discussions like this make me all forlorn for what can happen to one's youth.

Yeah, Darths and Droids is the only reliable Thursday updater of the comics I read, putting aside the dailies like Hero Oh Hero and Sluggy Freelance (which I need to catch up on).
You know what day really sucks? Saturday. Worst damn day.

It was also proposed months ago in the forums, and the Giant rejected it, saying something along the lines of "I wouldn't draw a comic strip where mass suicide was the answer." I don't see that post in the Index of the Giant's Comments, so I'll have to look some more to see if I can find it.
