The last few panels were among the funniest I have seen in a while. Clerics are indeed the worst.

Yeah, I don't know why I found that SO funny, especially in combination with the title, but I cracked up laughing at that ending. I thought maybe I was just over-tired. I tend to get silly when I'm tired.

Yep, that was definitely a Go Team Cleric moment at the end there.

Also clerics are the best. Until they're evil.

Honestly I'm glad they kept Redcloak instead of the other guy.

I think Xykon would have gotten bored with the other guy by now.

Prediction - And lo and behold, Team Red is now in the right dungeon that holds the gate.

Liberty's Edge

Or they will realize that someone painted unopened doors.

Come to think of it, with all we have already seen about misdirection, maybe the gate is not behind one of the doors.

Let's think like a Rogue.

Is the gate under this cup?

I feel like this the setup for a really bad version of something Penn and Teller would do.

Apologies to a highly regarded expert, but...

New strip is up! 1217: Silent Alarm.

Some how I don't think Roy will condone actual murder for disobeying orders... but I could be wrong.

We know he won't. Belker is still alive.

Still, that was the most Durkon possible thing to say.

Fyre,

Mmm. Good point.

Durkon is so considerate.

I'm glad that Belkar realizes the truth about their planning abilities.

-laughter-

Honestly brilliant. maybe a bit metagammy though but that is par for the course for this group.

Belkar isn't wrong.

No he most certainly is not, Cindy.

New strip

Durkon two strips ago, Elan and Haley last strip, and Haley and Belkar this strip: V is due to show he's useful that's not just blowing something up.

As always, Belkar proves that he didn't take ranger just for the lols.

Anyone think that the Random Door they picked will be the Right Door?

The narrative requires it.

One hopes so.

I dunno which is better, the Xykon repartee or the raven's little ramble before. :)

It looks like it's not about picking the right door to the gate, but disarming a dimensional/temporal trap/ward...

Sneaky.

I think you need to fix the link Tri...

Dragon,

It might be. Or it might be the warding only allows certain individuals access to it. Maybe.

Too late. Must have left off the .html

Hmm maybe all the doors are like that. maybe the dungeon is even BIGGER then it seems.

There's also the question of whether the teleport wards lead to the same false dungeon each time or to one out of a rotating set.

Also, I'm wondering (though it's probably unlikely) if every single entrance in the side of the cliff leads to the same true dungeon (i.e., Roy & Co. go deeper, look back after a while, and see dozens of tunnels join up with their's).

Liberty's Edge

Indeed. There are now 2 questions : where is the OotS stick exactly? And where did the X-team go?

X team? Are we seriously calling them that? Because you almost make them sound like they're junior X-men or something...

Yes, but re-check the beginning of Start Of Darkness. :)

I missed that book. Also I stand by my objection.

I mentioned Start Of Darkness because Rich Burlew literally did the "X-men" joke.

Well good to know Rich knows he did a meta joke.

The order of the stick are in the same tunnel they entered.

Team X went into a different dungeon that looks a lot like the one the characters are in. Not having a rogue means team x has no way to spot the teleport trap putting them in a decoy dungeon. Even without the monster messing up the door markings, they're doing some dungeons twice and some not at all.

Blackwing is probably the closest to my PC standard, not gonna lie.

I am so confused by this thing..

Well for me, this is the kind of thing a tricky/devious thing some DMs/GMs do to their players. So this makes sense.
