Good Mystery AP?

Pathfinder Adventure Path General Discussion

Do any of the current APs have a particularly good mystery solving story line? Preferably with a touch of the creepy thrown in? I'm looking for something along those lines, but I'm not familiar with much of the range, and I'm looking for an inside point of view.

Just to clarify: are you looking for an entire AP with one long, ongoing mystery or an AP with several shorter ones? Or just one good mystery adventure which you intend to use if the levels are right for your purposes?

The Shinsaw Massacre sounds like what you're looking for - the second part of Rise of the Runelords. The plot of the first half is a gruesome murder mystery with

Skinsaw Murders,

Spoiler:
while a creepy AP, involving murder and killing the guy responsible, is not really a mystery as in the classic sense. I mean, it's true that you don't know what's going on, etc, but there isn't any real element of investigation or "whodunit." The game just leads you to his house (which is a totally awesome haunted house, one of the best, but still not a mystery) and then you kill him.

I don't know of any parts of APs that I could classify as true mystery, involving gathering clues, considering suspects, etc. Maybe try Grey Citidel by Frog God Games? It's 3.5, and pretty well respected in this community.

I partially agree with Erik, but while it's true that Skinsaw Murder "as is" doesn't have that many elements of true mistery, I also think it'd be really, really easy to tweak the adventure just a bit to introduce them.

Coucil Of Thieves has a bit of Mystery in with part III "What Lies in Dust".
