Not that you care, just by virtue of being a Frank Trollman groupie on a non-Tome-Rules board, you're a troll.

I actually had a discussion with K recently on wizard and, even if we didn't agree on a lot of things, at least on the same degree, I don't remember K behaving in the same way of Mistah Green.

K bringed in actual examples, not blatant lies ("PA has been nerfed lol lol").

So, the issue is not agree or not with Tomes, Frank and stuff. It's the way you interact with other people (condiscendence, ranting if people then treat you the same way) not your ideas.

Mistah Green just assumes 75% of the game flat out wrong, and every playstyle different from the one he uses wrong. This makes discussion with him impossible.

I don't mean the makers of the Tome rules are the problem, though I have my own beefs with their gameplay style (if I want to play DBZ d20, I'll play DBZ d20. And yes it exists). I mean their groupies, who insist it's the only way to play. Maybe that's just been my experience - I hope that's the case.

Are you really any better by saying things such as this?

Unfortunately, that's a good point. I'll concede I let my irritation get the better of me.

What are the Tome rules?

I'd like to make a request, as the OP of the thread, that Mistah Green and Enchanter Tom either stay on topic of my proposed tweak to the Magus class, or stop posting here. You guys are really derailing the conversation, and if I didn't know any better I might accuse you both of trolling.

You have been asked nicely by the thread stater to knock it off. This isn't about "math", Shock Trooper, or any of there other things you are going on about, it is about basic group interaction and for lack of a better word, politeness.

You are welcome to start a "PA got nerfed" thread, "Melee Sucks", "Evocation is for N00bs", or whatever your heart desires, but please keep this thread on topic.

Thanks

Mistah:

As I said before, you only think by absolutes. You are almost cute, barring the vitriol.

I stated posts before that meleers needs more planning than spellcasters, at least on the long road (on a day-by day basis, I guess prepared spellcasters need more).

This does not mean that every melee you don't optimize up to the wazoo necessarily sucks, and if you don't one-shot everything on sight like happened with shock trooper you are doing it wrong.

And for the last time, you NAILED IT. There are a lot of way to hamper meleers charges. What does it means? That if the DM always see you one-shot encounters, these hampers are more likely to happen and you will suck anyway. So why optimize up to the wazoo if you will end for ruin your own game?

Why complain about power attack in this way?

Can you guys go and make a new thread for your "polite" discussion - you're sending this one way off-topic and contributing nothing useful to the playtest. (this goes for Mistah Green and everyone responding to him.)

Cheers.

I removed some posts. Let's all act like adults here.

Also, I'd like to remind everyone that trolls thrive on attention, negative or otherwise. Attempting to prove that they are incorrect, or that you know they are a troll, only encourages them to continue.

Instead, simply pretend the post isn't there. If it violates our messageboard rules, please flag it. Don't call them out. Don't tell them you're going to ignore them. Just continue the conversation as if there were not there, just like a child throwing a tantrum.

Thank you for making the Paizo messageboards a more friendly and civil place.
