Negative three?

Dude, this is an expressive dance via the internet.
If it's funny, that's just a bonus.

depends on wether or not the paladin is a Playah Character...

Oooo, I'm sorry but the correct answer is 7. We were looking for 7. Thanks for playing, we have some lovely parting gifts for you.

Did someone say Playaaahh? Here I am Playaaah! Ready to get my freak on. Suck my blunterbus if the technology level of the game setting allows it!

Well, Paladins do have immunity to disease. Gotta get some usage out of that class feature. :)

If the gods of good gave him that ability, it would seem disrespectful not to put it to the test.

I mean, if Iomedae makes you bulletproof, it seems like a safe bet she expects you to get out there and stop some bullets!

What if he kills the stripper first?

Is she an evil stripper?

Dark Archive

can he later resurect said stripper as undead?

Liberty's Edge

If the local laws allow the strip club to operate, then visiting it is a lawful endeavor.

Whether its good or not is a whole 'nother story.

Of course they can. Strip clubs are not evil in and of themselves, and if they are operating within the law, the Paladin can be there every friday night along with the rest of us, smiting the occasional patron who gets too handsy.

I came to this thread from the main page wanting a real answer.

Off-topic threads should have off-topic subjects.

Ok, this is a pretty good answer. Sorry I didn't read the whole thread to see that it went on-topic. My apologies.

Ah, but if the pally feels that the strippers will tempt others into evil behavior, should he smite the strippers?

How about preemptively smite-ing the soon-to-be-fallen patrons?

How about the bartender for deliberately watering down the drinks?

A gish, a magus, and a paladin of Asmodeus walk into a strip-club...

Don't forget the neutral bum who has had such a rough life that he looks like a wyvern, sleeping it out in the alley outside the stripclub.

I'd say this thread was into necrophilia and bestiality, but then it'd be beating a dead horse.

Only if he's not a paladin of Pharasma.

That's a pun worthy of Andostre.

(Sigh) We need to get the game back up and running!

Amen, brother.

*golf clap*

That was a thing of sheer beauty.

Preemptive smiting wouldn't work unless the stripper in question was evil herself.

But...i like horse juice.

A paladin could go to a strip club so long as the strippers had tassels over their nipples. If he saw nipples, he would be committing an evil act, as we all know that nipples are evil and the work of the devil.

Per Whedon's Law #241: She may not be evil in this reality, but in at least one, she's a quirky martial-arts-knowing undead-loving vampie-slaying Whedon-empowered Grrrl. So, she is smite-able.

Does evil travel as a particle or wave? If you fired a paladin through the double-slit filter, would his chunky-salsa-corpse arrange into patterns of Law and Stupid?

Hmmm, a gish stripper dual-wielding +3 vorpal nipple tassels of wallet-emptying...

But along those lines mothman what if the strippers in question were buff bodied guy's.

After all we are talking paladins here so anythings possible.

Male nipples are not evil nor the work of the devil so a paladin can stare at a guys overly muscled, waxed and oiled chest all day long with out violating his alignment or haveing to smite.

If the stripper is asleep it's good tactics.

Ah, Mr. Fishy, what would we do without your wit....wisdom.... Does it smell like fish in here to you? Oh yeah strip club got it.

Oh yes, male nipples are true neutral, so a paladin wouldn't have any trouble there. He could stare and stare and stare as he wished.

Yes, c’mon, lets try to take this serious. It could improve someone’s game.

Now, to me, it doesn’t really seem like there’s anything actively evil about it…so I guess he could. I imagine his superiors might not appreciate it though. It’s sort of like the church deacon hanging out at a topless bar. Kinda bad for the church’s image.

The real question is does he get in trouble for violating the no touch rule? I mean, he was probably just laying his hands on the girls to heal them. Perfectly innocent, right?

The paladin has to violate the no touch rule if s/he (it could be a lesbian paladin, y'know) has the remove disease mercy. Otherwise s/he is letting innocent strippers potentially suffer.

*Paladin runs in with a mason jar labeled "hooker dust"*
Whose first? My wizard needs some spell components!

I'm totally going to roll up a paladin who's a Burt Reynolds lookalike, and name him "Chubby."

Awe come on name him JJ and have a crazed chubby halfling squire named Victor. Victor would occasionally where a mask and cape and he looks just like Dom DeLuise.

Would victor take levels in Alchemist, so he could become Captain Chaos?

Naw, I'll stick with the "My Name is Earl" strip club paladin approach.

Jon Brazer Enterprises

Depends. Is it an undead strip club? The zombies come out after midnight and only the wights give illegal blow jobs in the back room. Fake boobs give new uses for the spell create greater undead.

Why not? The paladin's just helping to support all those apprentices working their way through the magic academy...

Unless of course the dancers are unwilling. Then that's exploitation of the innocent and the paladin is obligated to find the dancers a better deal. Which is why paladins should be in favor of Sin Taxes, it pays for regulations to prevent sex slavery.

Why thats a wonderful Idea Ms. Mistress.

I'm glad that you inspired me so.
In order to prevent sex slavery we should have the requirement that ONLY paladins can be strippers.

Think about it:

They would obey all the laws

higher level strippers are immune to disease and can cure it in lower level strippers.

The guys could bill themselves with names like
"Sir Lottalance" or "Sir Studly, the Pure"

Charisma is a requirement for the class so you won't ever have to see a ugly or hairy stripper. Strength and con are choice scores too so thye will have the bodies for the job. Working on those poles can really help with the core strength and stuff.

Whadda the rest of you think?

Liberty's Edge

It would all depend...

Who is the paladin's patron deity?

How is veneration of that deity expressed?

Why is the paladin going to the strip club anyway?

Many years ago, a paladin in a homebrew AD&D1e game I was running was faced with this very question. He was a member of an order - Ordo Argloith Milites - based on the Crusader knightly orders, which required chastity of its members. The deity they worshipped was called Argloith, a rather stuffy and strait-laced LG one.

However, the party was asked to investigate a murder, and the clues in part led to the local brothel. A very upmarket place, called the Willow House. So off the paladin went, rather red-faced and in all his regalia (he was of the 'full plate' persuasion) and the Madam asked him in to her private parlour and served him tea and cakes. The poor boy was terribly embarassed, especially when one of the younger ladies of negotiable affection came in to ask the Madam a question, not realising she was entertaining, and - how shall we put it - dressed for work.

Well, he got the information he needed and escaped with his virtue intact... but would anyone believe it?

Nope, he was the paladin who frequented parlour houses from then on :)
