Hi I am just going to start a list of UK based players (and gaming groups, clubs etc...) And DM's which hopefully help UK gamers meet, and also pass information about events happening in the UK

So to start this off
HI am I Darren living in the chesterfield area, being playing for about 25 years, started with D&D (yes the red book ) moving on to Battletech, shadowrun (1st, 2nd and 3rd Ed), call of cthulhu, AD&D (upto 4th which I have never played), I game once a week for some years using a homegrown system but now using pathfinder

Great idea! My name is Creighton and I'm based in Torquay, South Devon. I play in two weekly games. One as a DM (Pathfinder) and one as a player (3.5). You can read blogs of our crazy (doomed) exploits here (for the Pathfinder game in which we are playing through Kingmaker) and here for the 3.5 game. Both are set in Greyhawk.

Hello. I'm Ben, currently living in Huntingdon. Been playing for somewhere between 20-25 years. I started off with D&D (BECMI boxed sets). Since then, I've also played the following games: 2E, 3.0, 3.5, Pathfinder, Call of Cthulhu, Call of Cthulhu d20, Mutants & Masterminds 2E, Heroes Unlimited, BESM 2E, BESM 3E, BESM d20, Trail of Cthulhu, Kobolds Ate My Baby!, and probably a few more that I just can't think of at the moment. Unfortunately I'm unable to committ to a consistant gaming schedule at the moment, as I'm on TDY to the States next week, then I'm deploying at the beginning of October.

I'm obviously Stu, based in Eastbourne [little town by the sea], I am involved in 2 games weekly, one I DM from home for 5 players and one I play in at a RP club [currently enough players for 2 full games]. Both are Pathfinder.

Im Alexander Kilcoyne, born in Dorchester Hospital in Dorset, lived in Weymouth most of my life and moved to Southampton for university and am still here near the end of my degree. I'm involved in more games than I can count including running two PbP's on these forums. Play a variety of RP, but mostly pathfinder.

Hi. I'm Pete. 8 of us currently playing Pathfinder in Derby once a week.

There is also a group of us who play in Ashbourne whenever enough people are available.

There is a great website for roleplaying in the UK. I really recommend checking it out. www.ukroleplayers.com/forum

Do any of you guys regulars at the UK conventions?

The Exchange

I'm Dave but reasonably well known as Wintergreen too. I'm currently just south of London, run regular Pathfinder Society games and a weekly Pathfinder Adventure Path (currently Kingmaker).

I try and attend conventions and organise a team of GMs to run Pathfinder Society and last year I set up PaizoCon UK which is now in its second year. I try and help out Pathfinder Society players, organise GMs, scenarios and convention games. I can be contacted here or via paizoconuk@hotmail.com.

I'm Geraint, it took me three goes to get a group running (mainly due to my work commitments but thankfully I am now running RotRL for 4 players. My girlfriend is also GMing a one-on-one Curse of the Crimson Throne but that's very sporadic.

I used to be very active in the EastMidlandsDND meetup group which, despite its name, also has Pathfinder games and a bunch of other stuff.

I live in East Hanney, Oxon.

I'm Kyle, I'm in Southampton with AK. I play and run a few different games of varying systems, both online and on the table.

Nice Idea. I live in Southampton and also met AK prior to this, been doing some DMing online (hence the name)

23 years old (since the 11th, whoopy) and the only games I've had experience with are D&D 3.5 and Pathfinder. I am interested in others however though with no car I'm limited with my travel and Taxis can be expensive. I'm involved in only 2 PBPs and I DM both of those due to my choice in DMing being rarther...unlucky and based on poor judgement.

Cool, I'm Paul, I live in Lee-on-the-Solent, just round the coast from Southampton.

Wish I'd started playing 30 years ago, but it never happened til a few years back. Played Earthdawn, Paranoia, Gurps, D&D most editions except 4th and of course Pathfinder. Currently DMing a short excursion into Pathfinder Legacy of Fire with the games group I play with.

DMing a Pathfinder pbp on another site.

I'm no one, really! I'm about 35 miles North of Manchester and don't play face to face nearly enough.

I'm currently plotting a complex underhand mission to get Wintergreen up North to relieve this problem.

Hi, I'm Mike was Dming the ROTR AP for the last few years until I moved to Hull.

Played through the basic D&D set 2nd ed, 3rd ed, shadowrun, harn, cthulu and chill am involved with a group very new to RPG's playing the good ole fashioned Rules cyclopedia set very basic very limited but the DM is making it fun am trying to get them to play a scaled down version of Pathfinder. ( to no avail )

I'm Kelvin, I moved from Gloucestershire to Derbyshire (Glossop end) last year, and am currently setting up a group to play Pathfinder with my kids, my ex and my 'oh god' daughter - no-one else round here seems to play much unless I trek into Manchester.

Hi!

I'm Vaughan, originally from Stockport but now residing in Nottingham. Up to now I've played and DMed D&D pretty much exclusively, first 3.5 and then Pathfinder, but I'm up for trying new things.

The Exchange

Wow. There seems to be a lot of Pathfinder activity in the East Midlands. Shame it si such a large area. I wonder if we could ever arrange a Midlands Pathfinder meet-up.

Hi my name is Ben,

I'm based in Colchester, Essex.

I'll play anything once, but i am especially keen to get more chance to play pathfinder, and am a long term fan of WFRP and WoD.

It's a trap!

I live in Bury (about ten miles north of Manchester), and am playing in a monthly game of Rolemaster Fantasy. I'm open to most systems, though I'd love a chance to play MRQ2 at some point...

I am paul from portsmouth.
Currently playing: Hero
Have played D&D (old basic expert etc.), AD&D (1st and 2nd editions), 3.2 D&D, WFRP, Call of Cthuthuthuththlu, Ars magica, Marvel Superheroes and 1 very strange game of star wars roleplaying.

Sovereign Court

Wow awesome! Stormchaser and Aron, your so close we should get in a game together! I'll DM! Oh... wait... yeah...

I'm Kelvin, I live in Brighton, and I'm somewhere between a grognard and a whippersnapper.

My group is currently going through Kingmaker. I think we're somewhere in the second book, but I'm not sure as the GM is mixing a lot of other stuff into the published campaign.

Before that, we had a go at Rise of the Runelords using another quite famous system now in its fourth edition. That collapsed for various reasons, but we're quite enjoying the current campaign, and while The Game has never been my favourite rpg in any of its many incarnations, I've found myself very much enjoying the Pathfinder version.

Dark Archive

My group is based in Worthing, about ten miles or so west of Brighton. We have 7 in our group at present playing Council of Thieves. I have played D&D etc since 1986. The newest player is my wife who has been playing since March, my most experienced has played since 1981. I had an active gaming group back in London and played so much during my teens I am surprised I ever got a job!

So tell me what pub to get to, and that's another one...LOL.

Preferably not one down in the Oxford road area, I never really feel at home there.

Liberty's Edge

I live in Crewe, Cheshire... and the local group fell apart when I had a stroke in December 2007, never got them back together. I've been playing since 1977, and play just about anything that comes along.

I enjoy online games (PbP or e-mail) but seem to be happier as DM rather than player these days. Maybe it's something to do with age or with being a teacher... :)

hoisted by my own pitard, i guess i must play F.A.T.A.L. now, but know that you have doomed your self and the rest of some gaming group, for you will have to run it!!!!!

I'm David and I live in Sompting — smack in between these guys.

Been playing for nearly 30 years. Will play anything. Currently doing Council of Thieves and a high-level 3ed Realms game. Would like to play Dresden Files at some point — the books are awesome.

There is also some Pathfinder stuff going on out of Wargames Heaven in Brighton, but I've not been able to make enough free time to join in :(

Also married to a gamer.

Rev. Richmond, North Yorkshire. We're lucky and found a live group mostly recruited from the local operatic society. Manage to game weekly when we're not busy getting married to each other, which has happened a lot this year.

I run a lot of games on these very boards and play in far more than I should. Mostly 4e, but will try most things.

I know them, as we're part of the same loose gaming club, although it's a different Pathfinder game to the one I'm in. They're a good group, although the GM is a nutter! ;)

I am from south Manchester. Currently playing Kingmaker. Been playing on and off since the little white box was the only RPG. Usually play fantasy or SF RPGs.

Occasional con goer - went to Paizocon UK this year. See you at Oddcon or Stabcon!

Chris, in Rosey's group above - there are 8 of us in total, 3 of whom are married to 3 of the others.

I started D&D with the D&D Black Box around 1992 I think, but prior to that had played other systems, such as Fighting Fantasy/Dungeoneer, WFRP (ratcatcher anyone?), and Advanced Heroquest.

I paint miniatures in a varying ratio to how much I play games.

Not from the UK, but I had the pleasure of gaming with Fabes and Rev and the gang last year (back when the group included only one married couple). Great group, and I hope to join them again in a few months.

Pat is indeed our peripatetic US member.

Dan Edwards. My wife and I moved to London about three years ago from Australia. I work in Canary Wharf so at the moment we live on the Isle of Dogs.

Currently about all I'm playing is Xbox although I manage a boardgame session every now and again. I work long hours which makes face to face games difficult but have constant internet access via work and blackberry so am hoping to get some pbp games to satsify the gaming itch.

I'm Jon and I've recently moved to London from New Zealand. I've been meaning to get in touch with some people from here to see about joining a game, but everythings been a bit hectic lately. Trying to get to know the city and even see a bit of Europe, while also trying to find a job!

Also, I must be just around the corner from you Dan. I'm living in the Isle of Dogs too and just 20 minutes walk from Canary Wharf. Good to know there are other roleplayers here, and fellow antipodeans to boot!

Silver Crusade

To Derby and Nottingham you can add me in Leicester :)

I'm Iain and I am currently running Legacy of Fire and another weekly Pathfinder game.

I'm Al from the sticks of Norfolk... so not much gaming action in my part of the world.

Been playing various RPGs for more than twenty-five years (yeah, I'm another oldie), but it's mostly PbP stuff these days, 'cos it's so hard to find a face-to-face group which actually have the time to get together on a regular basis.

Thats funny I'm right next to the island gardens dlr.

It's certainly a small world! Until a few weeks ago I was staying close to Mudchute dlr, so just the next stop along. I've moved to the edge of the Isle of Dogs now though, staying near East India dlr.

There is a very nice gaming shop in Norwich though. I was out of the hobby at the time, but even so I have to say I was tempted by that shop.

That's the one. Very nice area of the city that, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a games shop there, as they tend to be in the dingy bits of town!

There were certainly a few Scots at PaizoCon UK. I guess the UK Pathfinders just need a bit of coordinating.

Is that a subtle hint that you got the regional co-ordinator role? :)

Maybe a Paizocon Scotland? That would be something... ;)
With Converzion no longer going and DrakCon gone, there is not so much going on in the Northeast.

There have been no announcements about regional co-ordinators yet. I was merely giving my opinion.
