Gold/gear at level 2
Post an intro (just ooc hi guys, here I am) on the game thread here:
http://paizo.com/paizo/messageboards/community/gaming/playByPost/theMasters Forge

Aleena, looks good, though I didn't see your patron or traits?

Krill, looks good so far.

Backgrounds will be good at some point, but can add them later.

We'll get you invites to OP game when you get started.

I'll get a character up based on the guidelines here . Advance to level 2?

BTW, Aleena, check this link as well - it has guidelines for this campaign. I noticed your alignment - we decided no CN becaue of the havoc that can wreak. Also pick 2 traits from the list there.

Currently deciding how to spend 1000gp.

Added bracers of armor +1

Aleena, hows it coming?

I'm still available and can have a level 2 character whipped up by the end of the day if you haven't gotten this moving yet.

Good to know Smash. I'm going to give Romuken/Aleena a couple more days to get over a new years hangover. If I havent heard anything by monday you're in. I'll let you know!

Sounds good. I went ahead and finished the profile for if I end up joining, link is here.

If you end needing one more, let me know. I can have a character together in a couple of days.

OK, lets get going. Aleena, sorry, need to get the show on the road, so you've been put on the in-the-line pile.

Smash, you're up! Character looks good as far as I can tell (I don't usually count point for point unless something odd comes up), would be cool if you can add a bit more to your background story, but up to you. Make a hello post on the main game thread, and make an account at Obsidian Portal and post your account name on the the main game thread.

Bilbo, you're in line because we're up to 6 again. Thanks for expressing interest, and I will post back here if we lose naybody else.

Liberty's Edge

Hello. I'm ..interested in playing a PbP game for PFS. However, I'd really like to play one of my three PFS characters that I've already posted here at the site.

Asherick Whiteplume - Human{Korvosan}, male; Paladin 6 [IOMEDAE] / Bard 1 <Andoran Faction>

Gilerandil 'Celebrinalqua' - Half-Elf, male; Cavalier 2 {Order of the Star}[DESNA] / Paladin 2 [DESNA] <Andoran Faction>

Reyhansu Haraadzi 'Seventh Son of the Seventh Son' - Half-Elf, male; Magus 1 <Qadira Faction>
* Note: Reyhansu's posted character write-up is incomplete. I just need to finish his backstory... its kinda involved.

They are all made using the PF organized play rules for stats, gear, and feats.

I'd REALLY want to play Asherick... mid-level games around Indianapolis are...scarce and he is my main character. Of course ...none of what takes place in the pbp game would be 'official'... but would provide me with some interesting backstory to the character when/if I get to play him in actual sit-down PFS games here in indy. Plus I LOVE playing a 'True-Hero'! :)

...I'm I out of luck?

We arent doine PFS, just Pathfinder. Though I wouldnt mind starting another game next month, after I lose my job and have more time...

And here we are again, need to refill 2 spots. THose still in line get first dibs if they want, otherwise going in order of posts...

Let me know!

I'll give it a try. My third attempt at playing seems to not be getting off the ground. I've got a 500-post-long Kingmaker PBP that I'm DMing, though, so have some DM experience. And I DM in real life, though usually for higher-level characters, so shouldn't be a problem to come up with something when my turn in the rotation comes around.

Calla here is available (though I'm planning to tweak her back story slightly since I was trying to get it up quickly when I first introduced her and applied for the dying game) or I can easily come up with something else depending on what characters the group currently has. She'd also need a few other minor tweaks to bring her in line with character creation.

Still second level?

I wouldn't mind throwing my hat into the ring as well, although I will hold off on making a character unless you really want me too~

I've dmed for 11 years with an IRL group and so it will take me a little time to use programs like MapTools but I will get it figured out. I've signed up for your site and I am generally interested in the settings and kinda exploring right now.

I will keep an eye on this thread in case other people drop out. I will also build whatever class is nescessary to fill gaps. doesn't bother me. =)

Heya, Hellefire. I'm glad to see this game is still running.

I'll take a place in line as well. Next year's classes won't be nearly as busy for me (not even close to this year's course load); when a spot opens up, and if you'll have me back, I'd love to return.

Yes come back......

Bilbo and Sunphoenix72 are at the front of the line if they are still watching the thread, Calumny then Corerue, and Heaven in the wings (glad to see you again!).

Bilbo hasn't posted in a couple months and Sunphoenix72 was looking for more of a PFS game as I recall, so it will probably be Calumny and Carerue. I will give them a week to respond if they still want to play, so next Thursday pm US time will be decided - Calumny and Corerue go ahead and get characters ready.

We are now level 3. Everything else about the game remains the same, so go ahead and make your characters level 3 (following the character creation rules on OP) and backstories would be great!

OP link to creation rules:
http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/mastersforge/wikis/player-character- guidelines

Though of course its level 3 now, and go with maximum hp for every level.

Heres shorthand, with edits to make it current:

Starting Level Level 3
Alignment Non-evil, no CN
Race Selection Any standard race presented in the Pathfinder Core Rules or the AGP
Class Selection Any standard class presented in the Pathfinder Core Rules or the APG
Ability Scores 25 points (point buy method)
Feats No crafting feats other than Scribe Scroll, Brew Potion, and Craft Wand
Traits Two traits selected from This List(http://www.d20pfsrd.com/traits) must be of different types (Combat, Faith, Magic, etc.)
Starting Wealth Starting gold based on level.

Thanks. None of the links seem to be working, though. I keep getting a could-not-find-that-page error.

http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaign/mastersforge/wikis/player-character- guidelines

try that..it added a space last time for some reason - hm seems to do that sometimes...just copy and paste the address and take out the space before the word guidelines

Any other link not working?

Link

Ok I got it linked!

RPG Superstar 2014 Top 16, RPG Superstar 2012 Top 16

That inserted space (odd; don't think I've ever seen that) seems to have solved the link problems. However, I don't seem to have permissions to view most of the wiki, and just wanted to make sure I'm not going to contradict any established canon. I signed up there as motteditor. (I'm playing Calla.)

I can view the entirety of the wiki when not logged into Obsidian Portal. Perhaps what you're perceiving as not having permission is actually a situation where the information simply does not exist.

When we began the game, it was decided to work with a blank slate, and grow the world we were playing in from there. We established a few baseline things, and most of those are reflected within the wiki articles, but the idea was that each person would have the freedom to build whatever they needed into the world during their stint as GM, and the setting would grow bit by bit.

Hey, sorry to do this, but I think I'm going to withdraw from contention. I don't think I realized that there was going to be quite that much world-building still going on and I'm not sure it's quite what I'm looking for. I figure it's easier to take my name out of contention before starting than realizing it's not for me and making you look for a replacement in a few months.

Thanks, and best of luck finding someone.

You're welcome to stay or go as you please - in all honesty Heaven did most of the world building in the beginning, and we have only been slowly adding to it. Your choice, you have until thursday - if you still prefer to opt out, Heaven is up.

Corerue, how are things going with you?

Busy sadly, my son turned 1 month old today and i'm looking at switching to a new job =/ So i'll stay on the back burner and watch how this progresses for now. =) Your website is interesting to explore though =)

Sounds like I've got some catching up to do; time to start reading through the game's progress since I left. Maybe update the wiki a bit, too.

I'm such a wiki-fool. ;D

Corerue please write up a character - any race/class is fine, we have the basics covered.

Heaven, maybe update yours to level 3, and add equipment for the difference in starting gold, or make a new character, as you like. Still going to give Calumny until Thursday to make a final decision on that.

I just finished getting caught up on events. Nice progression, by the way; it's clear this game has proven to be the challenge we thought it would, but the story is still pretty much cohesive.

And sandboxy. Sandboxy is good.

I'll begin stating up a character, in case Calumny decides not to return. The front line is pretty fleshed out, and Fubar is a great paladin for the group; at this point I think Andreas will have continued his journey south, intent on spending the winter months in Crescent Harbor. He's a bit of a baby when it comes to the cold anyway, and I can bring him back later if my new character gets killed off. I think I'll start building something with a more arcane outlook, maybe a wilderness summoner concept I've had in my head for a few months now.

Looks good Corerue - write that up in an alias, and write it up on Obsidian Portal as well please (post your OP username here and Fubar will drop you an invite to our campaign there).

Sounds good Heaven!

Come on over!

I am going to keep this thing going for a bit so everyone can settle in, looks like a dungeon crawl for a bit good news is I can end a dungeon or keep it going for as long as needed...

HF

Spoiler:

Might hold on the reigns a little longer than usual...

to get people settled in....

What say you?

Fubar, sounds like a plan to me - I crashed my motorcycle a few weeks ago and broke a couple ribs, still not in shape to take over so you keeping on is great for me. And good to help the new members ease in too of course :)
