Ok James, we know that WotC owns the Maure IP, which is fine, and they are free to use (or not use) it as they so desire - so be it.
However, would it be incorrect to assume that you are aware of some snippits of lore from within the story that started to evolve the more that Maure was detailed? And if so, is there anyway you could drop some hints as to what was going on, as far as you knew, in order to prevent a small group of us from developing permanent psychoses?

There are stupider reasons, sure. There's a legal battle within walking distance of me between a guy who want solar panels so he can have electricity and everyone else who claims they have a legal right to a pretty view that solar panel guy is infringing on. And then there'll be a rainstorm and all their houses will fall into the ocean.

Wow, so between an active volcano and an active trench is the best place to put a city. If you know how (and when) to run fast and don't mind trading prosperity for having to rebuild now and then.

Whether or not he wants to reveal those secrets is up to him. I won't be doing so, though. I'm just not comfortable publicly expanding Wizards of the Coast's intellectual properties, I guess.

I don't remember the name of the artist, but if I had a copy handy, I would look on the credits page for whoever we listed as the cover artist for that volume. :-)
I suspect the art order went something like; "This is a female human ghost; she was a young woman when she died, and she should look sad and distraught." The rest more or less came from the artist.

The role of the Kaijitsu family in the Rise of the Runelords hardcover won't change.
If you play Jade Regent before Rise of the Runelords, the GM will probably need to change the names of some of the Kaijitsus, but the GM will have that information from the introduction to "Brinewall Legacy."
I really doubt we'll spend any time at all in the Rise of the Runelords hardcover doing any Jade Regent forshadowing over and above what we did in the original version of "Brinewall Legacy." Which is actually a fair amount.

There are plenty from mythology. In Pathfinder, at this point, there's not really much in that way as far as options, though. Yet.
You could, in theory, make a male lamia... but in Golarion canon I'm pretty sure all the lamia matriarchs are women. There's not really any such thing in canon as a lamia "patriarch."

why is it that the more i look at the iconics the more they seem to be archtypes rather than the standard version? Merisiel being a knife master, Valeros a two-weapon fighter, Amiri a titan mauler, Seoni a tatto sorcerer...
Because even before we invented archetypes... that's the way folks played the game. At least, that's the way I play the game—if I made up three different rogues, they'd be three different characters. You don't need archetypes to make one rogue all about throwing knives, one all about diplomacy, and one all about traps. Archetypes, in a way, are a method of rewarding roleplaying choices when you look at it that way.
Furthermore... when we designed our archetypes, we DID consciously decide to build archetypes that would allow folks to play characters similar to our iconics... so you CAN play a crossbow wielding ranger or a giant sword wielding barbarian or a knife-tossing rogue.
In this case of "which came first?" the art came first, the archetypes quite a bit later.

Does Brilliant Energy have any special effect positive or negative to someone using the Iron Body spell?
ALL brilliant energy does is ignore shield and armor bonuses. Since iron body doesn't give you an armor or shield bonus... brilliant energy weapons gain no special advantage over the spell.

That's becasue Walkena isn't actually a deity. He may be worshiped as a god-king, but that doesn't mean he is an actual god.
Some day we might do more with Walkena... but so far, we haven't. Until then, exact details beyond what we've said so far will remain murky.

Interesting. Are you aware that Dahak (under his Persian name - Zahhak) was in fact transformed into an evil tyrant in the Shahnameh (since evil gods couldn't exist in Islam - they became usurpers and tyrants of the distant past). See here. Zahhak's name means the "yellow dragon." Yellow = a different chromatic species? The Azi - including one called the Zahhak - also based on this myth - appear in Legacy of Fire - see here. Vritra in India, the drought dragon, is derived from the same myth. The whole dragons controlling/hoarding water - deliberately or not - seems to be vaguely referenced in good ol' Dark Sun as well...

Not a lot. Bits here and there in Adventure Paths (particularly Pathifnder #1 and #10). A chunk about her in the Inner Sea World Guide. A little bit, I believe, in Gods and Magic.
But beyond that... not much. She's not a deity we've really focused on.

Do the NPCs in Jade Regent such as Ameiko gain levels throughout the adventure path?
They do... but unless you as the GM decide to do so otherwise, they don't actually start gaining levels until the PCs surpass the NPC levels. We want the PCs to be the high level ones. As such, the advice for leveling up the NPCs doesn't appear until part 3 of Jade Regent, when the PCs finally gain the lead in that race!

Well... since our version of Dahak is a dragon... it seems obvious that you'd want to replace that bronze bull with a bronze dragon, and perhaps set it up so that its mouth belches fire and smoke when it's doing its thing.
It should also be animated, of course.
