If they existed in the same continuity, how do you think Calistria and Corellon Larethian would view each other?

Who, in your opinion, is Golarion's most Magnificent Bastard?

I've been planning on running my party against kobolds for a while. But their CR is... tricky. How do you think one should do it? Or should I just wing it?

Good question! Hmmmmmmm.

Kinda having trouble coming up with one! Might mean we need a new NPC in the world...

Kobolds are what they are, CR-wise, for a very specific reason—to give 1st level characters something to fight against in large numbers. How you should do it is to have the PCs fight the kobolds when they're 1st to 3rd level. My current favorite thing we've done with kobolds is the first 3rd of "The Dragon's Demand."

What IS it with that joke that various mysterious gods and demigods are in fact four short beings stacked on top of one another wearing a trenchcoat as a disguise (i.e. Norgorber is four halflings stacked in a trenchcoat, the demon lord of accidents and gremlins is four gremlins in a trenchcoat)?

First I've heard of this, so I can't offer any insights. Other than to suppose that some folk find humor in turning something scary into a bunch of smaller things? Dunno.

Not really. Archpaladin Zousha might want a PM though, I guess.

Why are sentient undead immune to mind-affecting effects, morale bonuses, etc? It makes sense with zombies and the like, but not so much with wights, ghouls, etc.

Are there any plans to produce modules that take place in Golarion's past? For instance, a module where you play as an Azlanti or Thassilonian in ancient times?

Spoiler:
Second Darkness - The Armageddon Echo touched on one possible way to explore such topics but it could also be played straight.

Perhaps a semi-annual module line about some of the legends that have been built up over the years. One-shots like those could also be a great way to have mythic characters be pitted against mythic monsters without breaking current plots.

Because that's one way that life and undeath differ. The part of a mind that can be affected by mind-affecting effects is not present in an undead mind.

No significant plans at this point. The problem with an ancient past adventure is that we can't really draw upon all the rest of what we've crated to support it—the adventure has to be truly self-supporting. We'll see, though. We've done it before, in a way, as you point out. We might well do it again.

Pronouncing Ardoin as if it were a French word will do it.

Is Rasmir Golarion's magnificent bastard? Seems like you'd have to be not just powerful, but pretty savvy and charismatic to convince an entire nation worth of people that you're a living god.

In need of help. Long story short, I and other fellow players are arguing about order of attacks, when fighting in two-weapon style. As example lets take 20 lvl fighter with Improved and Greater TWF feats. He has four attacks from BAB for prime weapon, and three attacks from off hand (via feats). Can he mix the attack lines between them (prime-prime-off-prime-off-prime-off), or each line of attack goes separate (prime attacks first then off hand or backwards), when making full attack?

Having read the genie binder prestige class, I do have some questions about it.

Can a creature like a Glabrezu or Efreet grant wishes under the effect of charm/compulsion? If he gets to make the wish, does the charm/compulsion forces him to grant the wish the way the controller wants or does the wishgranter has enough control to make it backfire?

Also, do Div count as genies and their items genie made for the purpose of the genie binder's prestige class?

So will the AP after Hell's Rebels be classified as an "experimental" AP or a "traditional" AP?

That's up to the GM as far as I'm concerned, but for sake of ease, I generally ask players to go in order rather than overcomplicate things.

Yes they can, but that's a good way to get the hatred of a creature capable of granting wishes, so utilize this tactic with great care.

Divs are not genies.

A little bit of both.

We're only 2 days away from revealing what it is, and 3 days away from giving out more details in the Pathfinder AP seminar at Paizocon.

What would be the preferred character classes for shoggoths?

have you ever considered releasing the adventure path pawns a little bit earlier(while the adventure is still coming out)?

Additional racial hit dice.

Shoggoths aren't a monster that's really appropriate to put class levels on, in my opinion, mostly because they're already CR 19. Fighter probably makes the most sense, I suppose, but then you have the weirdness that is a shoggoth 1st-level fighter, which is a weird sort of mental disconnect to me. Better to use templates like the Advanced Creature or maybe one of Monster Codex's class templates, or even better yet... just add more HD to the monster.

THAT SAID... if you want to go forward with the idea of a "shoggoth lord," then all bets are off. In this case... more subtle classes like rogue or bard are the best bet, since they'd help the shoggoth disguise itself in public and, by virtue of being non-key, allow for more levels to stack more quickly. Still... you end up with a VERY high CR monster...

Biztak wrote:

Not possible.

Since the pawns utilize artwork from the Adventure Paths, and we don't have final artwork for the last adventure until relatively late in the process (usually after the first few installments of the AP are already in print), the pawn sets have to wait until after the AP is out to be released. Same reason why we wait until near the end of an AP to put out the AP's map folio; those are a LITTLE easier since they're only 3 maps and we generally get to order those 3 maps earlier in the AP, which is why they have the luxury of coming out while the AP itself is still coming out.

You mentioned that devils are very misogynistic. Are they also heteronormative? Do they have a more accepting attitude toward male homosexuality than female homosexuality like some real-world misogynistic cultures did? What are their feelings on transgenderism?

Hi,
just wanted to ask if my witch takes Spirit Talker feat and selects Lore spirit and Arcane enlightenment hex does he actually benefit from it?
The feat does not mention that word "shaman" is exchanged for "witch".
Is this an oversight or a feature to make this feat a strong choice for shamans and not so awesome for witches?
Because many hexes are shaman lvl dependent and thus witch benefits only from initial (low lvl) ability of hexes or not at all as witch does not have shaman spell list.

I suspect devils generally don't have an opinion about male homosexuality other than as one more tool they can use to manipulate humanity with. As for transgender issues... I suspect they'd want more men and less women however they can.

Up to your GM. Or perhaps post the question to the rules forum for an FAQ tag.

With the oncoming Kineticist, what are the chances of their being a team of 5 kineticist heroes, each of a different discipline, that fight against the forces of evil (and are totally not an homage to Power Rangers) making their way into Golarion lore?

Chances are pretty close to zero.

Unrevealed at this point, but it's not a variant Ravenmoor at all. It's something else.

Hello again Mr. James Jacobs,

There is an Azata dedicated to sports/competitions/tournments or such things should be under other race ? If not, who would be the best outsider races for a sports overseer outsider ?

You know, I think one could potentially turn this into a campaign. In which one of the two aspects of Gozreh has been driven mad/corrupted and sends his/her avatar down to destroy the world. The other aspect works to stop this from happening, but needs the help of the Servants of Nature, each of which is blessed with one of the elements. Perhaps the PCs need to seek out these ancient servants and gain their power in a series of quests in order to combine their power into a Guardian of Nature to restore the mad/corrupted Gozreh to normal.

Perhaps the PCs gain some sort of gestalt, or a homebrewed Simple Class Template (like from the Monster Codez) of the Kineticist... Hmmm...

James, do you think a game like this would work in Golarion?
Is it possible for the two aspects of Gozreh to clash with each other? Could they seek to oppose the actions of the other if it conflicts with the interest of one aspect over the other?
