Please help: Rogue sneak attack vs undead in Society games

Pathfinder Society

A DM at a recent event in town advised me that the ability for rogues to apply sneak attack damage vs undead had been revised. This was in the middle of a game, so I nodded, continued playing, and had fun.

I have since searched the message boards and the errata, but have yet to run across that revision.

Could somebody please point me in the right direction?

Many thanks

The rules for sneak attack (also known as precision damage) against undead in Society play are no different that the normal Pathfinder rules. The only type of undead that are immune to sneak are those with the incorporeal subtype (pg 312 Bestiary):

An incorporeal creature has no physical body. An incorporeal creature is immune to critical hits and precision-based damage (such as sneak attack damage) unless the attacks are made using a weapon with the ghost touch special weapon quality. In addition, creatures with the incorporeal subtype gain the incorporeal special quality.

What basic undead are immune to and not immune to is listed on pages 309 and 310 of the Bestiary. Undead are immune to bleed effects and damage though. That has been errata'd. Next time you play with this GM, ask him/her to provide you with the documentation. I don't believe everything I read on the Boards.

Yeah, like anything Doug Doug writes.

Oh, and what he wrote is correct. The rules you're looking for are covered in the core book and may not ever have been discussed on the forums.

What the others said. And I am pretty sure the DM you are talking about meant it had changed from the way it was in 3.5 to the way it is now in the PRPG rules, not that something had changed after the publishing of the Core Book.
