Northern NJ Pathfinder - Seeking new or established group

Local Play

I just last night got my hands on the Pathfinder RPG books (yeah, I know, I'm late to the game) and find myself with the urge to start playing it.

A quick search here showed no threads younger than two years, and over at Meetup, there's only two groups in NJ which are a long way from where I am up in the north and west, nearby Mighty Titan Games on Rt 10.

Are there any Pathfinder gamers in this part of New Jersey who are either gaming already and willing to accept a newb member (coming in straight out of AD&D here) or are willing to try and start a new group?

There is a group that plays weekly in NYC if you are up for a bit of traveling. I can also put you in touch with a gentlemen in Northeast Penn (Scranton Area) and Perhaps a couple of gentlemen in the Liberty NY area. If any of these are reasonable to where you are just shoot me an e-mail at nordrin04 @ yahoo.com or join the grup Http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/Pathfinder_NYC/

Regards

Rich

Thanks, but those are, unfortunately, a long way away from me.

Looking for something a little closer.

They most certainly do he just missed DexCon by a couple of weeks and Deamation isn't until February

We had 10-12 tables of Pathfinder at DexCon including a table of the 2 round 12 level mod. A good time was had by all.

Yes. Where exactly are you in Northern NJ?

Exit 28 off of Route 80. Hopatcong.

I don't do cons for a variety of reasons, mostly having to do with working 70 hours a week.

It seems I have found the right thread. My wife and I recently moved from the Miami area to northern New jersey (Bloomfield/Montclair/Nutley area) and have been looking for local pathfinder society game days and a bit of information on the local convention scene. I find myself near the Gamers Gambit and Timewarp Comics, but though they sell a lot of pathfinder merchandise, I've had a hell of a time trying to start up pathfinder society events. 4th edition RPGA events seem to be the current draw in the area, but I have been able to lure away enough players to at least start a home campaign (Yay for Rise of the Runelords).

I heard about Dex-Con, though we were unfortunately out of town that weekend.

Hmm and Dreamation is in February huh? I'll have to make it a point to attend. Any idea which venue the con is held at?

San-Chez, is there a decent sized pathfinder society following over in NYC? If so, do you all meet regularly, and is the venue large enough to support 2 more fans? :)

Hi Kassegore,

Welcome to the NY/NJ area. I play with San-Chez and others in NYC and attend both DexCon and Dreamation on a regular basis.

We do have a decent following of Pathfinder in the city. We meet regularly every Wednesday night in NYC at a local cafe. We usually have one to three tables.

Dexcon and Dreamation are both held at the Hyatt Hotel in Morristown. They both provide quite a Pathfinder Society presence.

Hope to see you in the future.

Nathan

I'd be interested in forming or starting a northern NJ Pathfinder group, too. I live in the Parsippany area - Mighty Titan is a good place to meet, or just someone's house.

If there is an existing group that is looking for more people, contact me at shadowsage@wizardmark.com

I wanted to thank you. I had a fun time at the game last night. I enjoyed playing Fizzabang the Fabulous. Ill try not to blow any other party members up but myself, or maby the monsters.
Thank you for directing me to the right path train.
Hopefully i will be able to make the game next week.
