Sovereign Court RPG Superstar 2009 Top 32, 2010 Top 8

Noticed something interesting about my comics pull the other day, now that I'm back into it.

JLA: Because Dick and Donna (and Victor) are in it. Jade being in it is a plus.
Batgirl, Red Robin (I'll likely get the Batman & Robin trades when they come out) Again, because of Tim and Stephanie (and Barbara).
BoP: In part because of the Wonder Woman mess, but again for Babs, and somewhat for Huntress.
Teen Titans: More suffering than love right now, but M'gann, Raven, Gar, and Virgil. Also for Cassie, Bart, and Connor.

Spoiler:
Looks like I'll be losing M'gann and Virgil, but I'm getting Rose back. Now if only Eddie wasn't dead, and they weren't getting Damian.

Over on the Marvel side:
New Mutants: Illyana, Sam, Dani
New Mutants Forever: The above, plus Rahne.
X-Factor: Jamie, Guido, Monet.
Super soldier: Steve.

What I noticed was (with the exception of Steve Rogers) no Thor, no Tony Stark, no Bruce/Clark/Diana/Barry/Hal/Oliver. Even though I'm sneaking up on 40, I seem to enjoy the 'second generation' heroes, not the first generation.

I'd chalk it down to reading Titans as a kid, but I read Batman, Iron Man, Cap, X-men, etc. too. I miss PAD's Linda Danvers, she was much more interesting to me than Kara. (and I think DC really needs to do a Kara/Karen arc just to work out their feelings)

Does anyone else feel more of an affinity with the 'second generation' of heroes rather than their big brothers?
