Well, something is apparently "yours", but I'm not sure what a "welcome" is or how it could be yours. Maybe you missed something --

Meh. Searching for a new school for Kellen. Talked to lots of Asst Principals, the District Psychologist on our IEP team, and lots of internet research. I kinda have a headache. On the up side...we do have a promising lead on a really good school that actually said they would like to have him.

Solnes, I'm sorry you and your husband "lost" on this one. I put lost in quotation marks because you really didn't lose per se- you found out this school was NOT the one for your son and are on your way to finding one that is much better for him. I know some parents who would have blamed him or just not cared. You and your husband aren't losers, not by a long shot.
And with that folks, its time for me to go- I've got a meeting at the second job and I've got some writing to do for the first. Here's hoping everyone has a wonderful day!

Freehold, you are exactly right. I was trying to think of some way to communicate that sentiment. You did it perfectly.
LPM and Solnes, good luck in your efforts to do the right thing for your son. It will pay off.

Not my fault. That chili was extra spicy.I thought I smelled cinnamon and sulfur, but I assumed it was just Urizen again.

Grrr. Bad night. After having bought special donuts this afternoon and saving one specially for Bryce, he doesn't get to have it. Of course he doesn't get much.
Long explanation:
See, he was not following directions in class and was standing on his chair....and did a face plant onto his desk mangling his glasses. Again. We just had these things remade for like the fifth time. So we take him to the glasses store and yay, they fix his glasses. Now, he started misbehaving as soon as we got there, but this is nothing new. I hadn't had my glasses adjusted in months, so I figured I should let them take a look and while they were doing that the kidlet started grabbing me and pushing me and headbutting me. I told him no and that he couldn't touch me or hug me until he had control of himself. Last year he recracked a mostly healed broken rib that I had gotten from coughing too hard because he headbutted me in the gut when he was frustrated about something. So I don't play around when it comes to him being rough with me anymore. His pediatrician and psychologist have both told me to step away so I don't end up with any more serious injuries. (He's also broken my nose a few times.) So his dad had to remove him from the store and basically put the fear of god into him. Got some dirty looks since we were out in public, but it's not like the kid was ever treated poorly. Just yelled at very calmly and quietly when it was mightily deserved. Ugh. I hate this. :(

Hi, FAWTLies!
Just stopping by to say goodnight! Today was my 10th Wedding Anniversary!
I'm celebrating by taking a cruise...without my wife...during which I have to work 18-hour or longer days. Wait...this sucks!
Oh, well. I still have the best wife in the world (for me). She and the two most beautiful (to me) little girls in the world will be waiting for me when I get home.
I'm so lucky.
You folks have an awesome night!

Unless you want to flame a psionics thread, in which case, go ahead.

Congratulations on your anniversary. Sucks that you can't be together for it. But you do have something to look forward to when you get home. Keep Safe!

Brain Cramps!
Very short day at work today - only about 3 hours - Mostly thanks to waiting extra time the last two days for the IT guy to get me a laptop for my upcoming trip to San Diego. And, of course, I still don't have it. He said he'd be here at 6:30 this morning, which was 1/2 and hour ago.
ARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!
But, on the plus side, I get to have Popeyes for lunch today.
Mmmmm....Popeyes.

As an aside, watched Predators last night through On Demand. Pretty good flick. Who knew Adrien Brody could seem like such a badass! And the Yakuza guy was my favorite.
I gotta check that out. Adrien Brody can certainly do badass, it's David Schwimmer who is laughable in the attempt.

Adrien Brody is kind of gross. First he helps his g/f make a human chimera. Then he gets it on with her (the chimera). Then he gets killed by it after it switches genders. Eew. Gross and lame. Like that pitiful pained expression he's always making. Halle Berry shoulda decked him in front of everybody when he dared defile her with his thin salivating lips.
