My kitty is bulemic. :(

We had one of those. Sorry to hear that.

There are ointments for that now, anyway.

Lynora, check it out. Belvedere was awful.

For job hunters 'of a certain age.'

And in other news, I noticed yesterday that gas prices had crept down from 3.19 to 3.14. So I took the car with the empty gas tank today and guess what? Prices are 3.29 this morning.

Primal scream!

Nope, not better.

A blaxploitation star named Coffee sounds like such a great idea because it was actually realized on the big screen back in '73. Dare I say, I own this DVD.

Coffy

This was a leading role breakout for Pam Grier a year before her blaxploitation masterpiece Foxy Brown.

No, no, no. See, TJ, this Kawfi will be rockstar and obviously the spelling will be different. Pam Grier was awesome, but we need a new hot cuppa woman for today's viewer. Don't worry, though, I know how Tarantino loves these things. I'll let him do some special commentary on the Blu-ray release. Mairkurion will direct...or produce...and obviously take a hand in writing. TJ definitely needs to join the team in putting this thing together. Whaddya say?

What do I think, my bruthah?

I think I'm trained in directing actors
I've written screenplays all by my lonesome
I've got the technical consultant factor
Cuz I sexily embrace this filmic commotion

But I do so from endearment’s hearse
And not some cross cultural freak porn
Cuz, short of gunplay and for better or worse,
I grew up around folks like that in Californ.

How much so?
You ask how much so?

Well let me step out of italic verse for a second and tell yo @$$.

In 1974, me but a two foot high little white guy, I saw Foxy Brown in the theaters with a bona fide black pimp/heroin dealer named Sugar. Ask me if I'm kidding while you check me for cavities. In short, I'm gunnin' for all yo jobs, Mairk (save producer… I will allow you to raise and keep track of our financial backing).

You will bow down before the Pale Baron of Blaxploitation! All your street hustlah references are belong to us!

OK, that second item worries me. Well, maybe my trip to Atlanta tomorrow will be fruitful (and hopefully the guy at the CDC won't blow the place up).

She was a stray I rescued, and she's always terrified the food will run out. When she can see the bottom of the food bowl, she will occasionally eat everything that's left in a panic, worried she won't have enough food...then she gets sick.

AND the food bowl's empty, so she continues to panic.

You'd think after 10 years of constant food and attention, she'd stop worrying so much, but early habits are hard to break, poor kitty.

Now I'm thinking of a blaxploitation film in which there would be a rockstar named Coffee (with creative spelling instead, of course).

They still make those in Texas? I thought they moved on to Chicanoploitation.

There's a tradition of rhyming putdowns and boasts in some of those movies.

So on an upside, I lost my insanity inducing employee. The one that thought this store was hers... yeah well, with the boss needing a manager desperately, due to my girl moving, he asked 4 different employees to take her place. All said no except my girl, and she was the last he asked.

But she is no longer my prob! :D

New customer has potential, looking at all the expensive new toys. mentioned that Dr Oz recommended a certain one and his ears perked... apparently the wifey is a fan.

SO last night I get an email while at work that my youngest did not go to church but rather to the ER. Seems his sinuses were so bad they needed to get him on antibiotics. He is doing OK right now but is staying home watching lots of TV and resting while on Meds. All his teachers thought he looked horrible yesterday.

I leave work on time, worried about him, only to find out that the mandatory 1/2 lunch was changed to a mandatory 1/2 overtime after work. The wording on the email was quite poor in my opinion. So now I am worried about being in trouble for leaving shift early.

I sooooooooooooooo need a vacation.

Damn, lately I have a 'killed the thread' effect over here. :S

I showered today, brushed my hair and teeth...am wearing deoderant! Why the hell do I keep chasing everyone off the thread?

Yesterday coming home from work my wife spots an abandoned dog. This poor critter is stuck on what we lovingly call the canal route. An anti flood project that has a big ditch running down the middle of the city along the main highway.

The dog was stuck on a 1 ft ledge not able to go anywhere. So she calls animal control. Then notices later the dog is still there and calls back. They say they ca not find him. So she emails me and I tell her to call the local news stations and radio stations today.

Well the country music station gets several calls today because it is now 24 hours that this poor dog, in the cold and drizzle is stuck and not able to get anywhere and animal control "cant find him."

Funny they found him real quick today when the media showed up.

Ain't that always the way? More media exposure tends to lead to higher priority and/or more people assigned to any sort of task force. Glad to hear he's safe.

Thanks, Treppa. Unfortunately my prof wants us to write about something that happened this year.

I know what you mean about the gas prices. I swear they go up ten cents every time my tank starts to get low. :/

Haven't there been a couple volcano eruptions too? Most ash and all, but causing problems with planes? Or was that over a year ago?

Both very good suggestions. Thanks, Sara Marie. I'm leaning towards writing about the drought in China since I'm betting lots of my classmates will be writing about the New Zealand earthquake.
