I show up to dinner tonight and start talking and suddenly I'm getting asked a bunch of questions about finance related subject which I hadn't intended to share with my grandparents and mother. I REALLY wish my wife would occasionally show some discretion.
Well it wasn't so much them deliberately jabbing me, just being concerned and bringing it up when I didn't really want to talk about it.

Which PS books were in the good bag?At the Con we got a few Planet Stories books in our goody bag. Since we have been home he has read all of them, two or three times. He loves them. So we asked him if he would be interested in the sub for his birthday, he was very excited at the idea. His reading comprehension is through the roof, at last testing he was reading on an 8th grade level. :)Going to sign Kellen up for a Planet Stories sub for his birthday, he is so excited!Hmm...this kind of gift sounds suspicious...

Gooooooooooooooooooood morning Fawlty Towers!!!!
Last night was great! We're still playing our friend's homebrew, and even though I went down on the first round of combat(so much for an "optimized" character...), the real gem was the roleplaying session afterwards when we were placed under arrest after being set up for poisioning a town's water supply with ghoul fever. The DM- an unabashed twink- surprised me when he started using legal terms against us and tricked us into testifying against ourselves. In an area where there is no 5th amendment, our testimony was pretty damning, and I have to say I was truly impressed: never again will I underestimate the roleplaying skills of someone who twinks. I don't know if we'll be playing next week or what since the sentence is death for such a heinous crime, but I had to shake his hand afterwards- he got us good, mostly because we underestimated him. Today started off great too. I ran into a bunch of old friends when I dusted off AIM this morning and chatted a bit- it was so good seeing everyone again, it was almost like I was living with my roomies back on the other side of town. Fortune smirked at me when I got into the office and I realized I hadn't checked g-mail: it turns out that yes, I do have the second job tonight- and I found out just in time to change my plans for the evening. I'll still be picking up Paizo stuff if it's out, but I won't be hanging with the manhattan Paizoites(*sniff*) and I'll be taking a special route home that ensures I'll be able to make it back in time to shower, give the wife a wink and then head back out into the field. I won't lie, I'm a little frustrated, but I think having Saturday night off makes up for it. Since I'm going away next week, I'm planning to take the wife to a movie.
That's about it for me though- what's everyone else up to?

Trying to get through near 500 new Posts...
I hate Tuesdays, because I work 10.5 hours from 6-4.30, then drive half an hour to come home, play with the kids and then get them ready for bed. Then after they finally go off I'm lucky to get maybe an hour with Mel before I have to go to bed to be up at 4am for work. So I pretty much miss from Monday Night until half way through Wednesday online.
