Doctor gave a glowing report. He can go back to being a puppy, but still keep an eye on him and not let him participate in any 'Puppies Gone Wild' beach party footages. Hopefully by the end of August he'll be at 99%.

Spoiler:

[Dr. Zoidberg's underwater home has burned down]
Dr. Zoidberg: My home! It burned down! How did this happened?
Hermes Conrad: That's a very good question.
Bender: [picking a lit cigar from the ashes] So that's where my cigar was.
Hermes Conrad: That just raises further questions!

howdy all, did I miss anything directed at/to me? Latest news we had a killer windstorm on Saturday night/Sunday Morning. Wind speeds constantly over 50mph with gusts as bad as 70mph. it was a beautiful storm though. Half of Ames was without power Sunday morning. still raining here, and I have my first appointment with a counselor today at 2:10. Four days back on Zoloft and it seems to be helping, I skipped the 6 day start at half speed and started on 50mg right off the bat and it has greatly helped. The four days used up the last of my previous prescription and now I start my new one.

Just make sure you have the means or access to remain on it this time. Or I'll conjure a cornstalk elemental in the name of He-Who-Walks-Behind-The-Rows and send him forth.

I haven't seen it or the first one, but have you ever done professional scriptwriting? 'Cause you have the plot of #3 right there; I bet a finished script could net someone an easy half-mil. You might have to part with your 21 grams though.

Yeah, that 21 grams is a thorny issue.

On the good side, my painting is finally finished. I'm just waiting for it to dry before I scan it in and post it on deviantart.

On the bad side, may not get to play tonight after all. :(
The evil b%#*& boss lady told Dan she wanted to do another call tomorrow on an unspecified subject, and now he's all stressed about possibly losing his job. He's already actively looking for a new one, but we can't afford to lose income for however long it takes for him to find a new job. It's sad when you're actually hoping for a performance plan since that will at least buy time. So, he's not really sure he can focus well enough to run the game.

Ok, back from the doctors. Not much to say yet. They did more blood tests. I turned down the $200 x-ray since the blood tests will tell them the same thing I just have to wait two days.
They did give me a script for something to take for the pain. And I was told to cut out even more from my diet. No more carbonated drinks, and no more smoking....*sigh* I thought stress aggravated ulcers. Anyways, the doc said it sounded like an ulcer to her, but was gonna wait to see if the blood tests showed the bacteria that causes them to confirm. And that she would have to do that expensive ass x ray only if my blood test came back clean, cause then it would be, "weird".

Oh, and the woman that did my blood tests was a sadist, she had to be. I am scared of needles yes, but have had tests done that didn't bother me. This woman dug for a non-existent vein for like....10min! Ugh!

Awright folks, time for this little DM to go home. I've got to make a stop at the bank on the way, but after that it's smooth sailing. Maybe I'll head into queens tonight, maybe not. It depends on just how much the rain cooled everything off.

See ya in the funny pages!

Lyn....he hit the woman with a dictionary didn't he? I told him that would get him in trouble.

I hope everything works out. :(

@Solnes: Hope everything turns out well. And I think I had that same lady do a blood work-up on me about 5 years ago. It was the first time I had a complete work-up done (was diagnosed with HBP at the time), and they needed like two quarts of blood (okay, six vials, but still). And it still took her forever to find a vein.

Still, the weirdest moment was this one time I was donating blood at a bloodmobile and was laying there for a good half-hour, with the nurse checking the bag every ten minutes since it wasn't filling that quickly. She shook her head and said she was going to try the other arm since it looked like she missed the vein on the first arm. But when she pulled the needle out, there was a 2" thread of coagulated blood that came out of the needle. Proof positive of my mutant healing factor. Not even giving blood stopped my body from healing over the wound!

truth be told I don't have very good veins. Most docs spend time looking for a good one. But seriously, she looked with the damn needle. Its so going to bruise and is sooooooo sore. The woman at the ER last week was an angel, she found the vein and before I knew it had taken 6 vials of blood and set the IV. The world needs more techs like that.

Yeah, definitely. Personally I have really good veins for that. You can see them under my translucent skin and they don't roll or anything. And I've still gotten techs who had trouble getting the needle where it belonged. Some of these people you really have to wonder how the hell they ever got certified.

My woman has the same issues with elusive veins that Solnes has. Me, OTOH, when I was in the hospital (on several occasions) for in-patient surgery, I had several nurses come by and ask if they could use me as demonstration for their students because mine were very easy to hit. Now, if they'd cut me a break on my bill for each attempt at being a pricking dummy....
