Oatmeal is delicious. I know, kinda random, but I've spent the last three months having cereal bars for breakfast since I could eat those while I was driving. Oatmeal makes for a nice change. :)

It is, until you have it too often. I find there is an oatmeal threshold, beyond which you can't look at the stuff anymore.

I was just teasing. (They still have Hell, though, so you were good anyway.)

This is likely true. I know it's true for cereal bars :/

Blech. I hate ham. Actually I'm not really much for meat in the morning at all. Most of the delicious breakfast food involving meat is more of a dinner thing for me. My preferred breakfast is peanut butter toast, but since the first thing I do is drop my kid off at his no-nut school that kinda nixes the toast thing.

Break-fast? What is this that you speak of?

I remember, as a child, having some type of loops made of fruit or a merchant marine's roof-of-the-mouth cutting crunchy bits, but I don't understand what this "eating in the morning" thing you're talking about is. Doesn't everyone just skip right to lunch?

It is not a Tiamat Urizen :P It is a large sized dracolich. I have only 1 Tiamat in my collection and it will be moving with me to the UK. FYI I saw a Tiamat going for $100 on Ebay last night you snooze you loose, also the longer you wait the more expensive the mini becomes those DDMs are all limited edition and accrue value.

I just perused Ebay and there isn't one under $60. All 3 that are on there are bid only. I would just bite the bullet, put it on your credit card and curse and swear for a week or so, but then you'll have it.

True story (this is strange, random and is another example of how my brain does strange, random things...so it seemed fitting to share here):

Spoiler:
Being underway on a Navy ship and in a position where I have to stand a rotating watch, I occasionally (okay, frequently) find myself up at very late hours after having slept very little. That kind of schedule can have a serious impact on my mental state, a situation that has not improved with my ever-increasing age. (I'm almost 40...oh, gawd...did I just type that? Anyway.)

The other night, as I was preparing to turn over the watch at 2am, having been up for almost 30 hours, I briefly drifted into semi-consciousness while actually talking to someone. Fortunately, that someone was distracted by another report and wasn't really paying attention, so all they know is that I looked very tired and muttered something unintelligible before snapping suddenly awake, laughing and shaking my head.

If they had actually heard and understood what I'd muttered, they'd probably think I'm crazy. I mean, I may BE crazy, but I can't have too many people thinking that. ;)

You see, what my sleep-deprived brain conjured up, completely unbidden, in the midst of watch turnover in the combat information center of a US Navy warship was,

"The Queen of Hearts still wants her tarts."

I still have no idea why.

Have a great day, FAWTLs!

Meh. Not paying that. In the meantime, I take my gargantuan orcus that I bought for $45 to bed and plot about turning all your minis to undead hordes to overtake you. MUAHAHAHAHA....

One day I will have to learn all of the FAWTL code words what is the pet shop and does it involve a certain pony and a certain type of sweater?

And the good news for today, my minis order from paizo arrived, and as a consequence I now have a perfect size box for CJs Minis.

So my darling child is at home. I had to go and fetch him from school. He is suspended for tomorrow which means he will miss all the special stuff they do on the last day before break. He just couldn't hold it together even for a few hours. Biting, hitting, refusing to do what teachers told him. I just don't understand. I have him cleaning his room now since that's a long and thankless task that could take him the next two weeks to get done.

Around here, it's not that some of my co-workers are incompetent. It's just that they don't care to be competent. It cuts into their f#&$-off time.

Ha ha! I understand completely about those types.

Celestial Healer wrote:

I love workplace awkwardness.

An email went out trying to coordinate some type of pot luck thing for an employee who is leaving. (Overkill, in my book, because we're already doing a lunch for her.) Anyway, this girl replies "all" that she's tight on cash, especially considering the money we are getting together for a Christmas present for our supervisor, which she thinks is too expensive. Yeah, the supervisor is on the distribution list.

That is funny. I haven't seen anything that awkward, but I have seen some bad mistakes.

A prime example is people using the reply to all when we fully integrated into the new (not so new now) system, NMCI. It sent the email to everyone in the system. Did I mention that NMCI stands for Navy Marine Corp Internet? Yup, people were sending out emails to about a million people at a time, everyone in the USN and USMC. I really got tired of having my inbox cluttered with emails (not concerning anything related to me) from people in San Diego and everywhere else. It should be noted that such emails were bad to print because they will often have a section listing all the people that received that sending of mail...

That seems to have stoppped a while back so some sort of correction was made.
