My favorite "let's screw up some children" story was my grandfather. When she was about 5 years old, my sister asked him (over an Easter dinner) where leg of lamb comes from. He told her that somewhere out there is a lamb hobbling around on 3 legs. She cried all evening.
THAT. IS. EPIC.

Hah! Reminds me of the brief period of time when I was a kid before I learned that meat and muscle were the same thing. (I thought that meat and muscle came from different parts of the animal.)

The deer carcass on the living room table being disassembled for freezer storage quickly disabused me of that notion.

LOL!

Agreed, Moff. And what about us poor snow-deprived Texans? We'd like a White Christmas. ;-)

You can have my snow!

We discussed this.....

You are cursed and now have more snow than you know what to do with.

I think you still have Peanut M&M's on your brain.

Thanks for the support guys. I attribute this to hard work, dedication, and taking advantage of a complementary personal trainer session. Thanks to that I found out how and what to work out to get max benefit. I do half an hour moving from one weight exercise to the next on nice low weight. then go to the elliptical machine for half an hour doing interval training in 2 min intervals.

huzzah!

We average 92 inches a year. You should just come here.

Yeah, and then you won't be able to leave, because the snow here eats cars.

4th Ed running them through "Keep on the Shadowfell". They just dealt with a Kobold tribe being lead by a 3rd level barbarian Goblin. They nearly died but they got one magic item out of it and felt accomplished saving the town from the kobolds. The night ended on a good note.

WTH? I spend the night packing and you people go on a posting blitz?

Nothing much. I just moved on to sherry.

I think it would be funny to make a hoard of potions and put them in plain sight, but label all the bottles as "Terlet Sangria" and see how many of them get stolen.

Potions in D&D really bugs me. Most of them would be correctly labeled, if we were going with realism. The only ones that weren't would be 1. Those whose labels fell off with time/conditions and 2. Those that someone purposefully mislabeled.

They're not normally labeled? I always just assumed they were.

That's a darn good point. Wizards and clerics master the very power of the cosmos but they can't be bothered to put a f+~*ing label on a bottle? They are now officially the laziest classes.

Seems like DMs are trying to get you to waste pearls and Identify scrolls. Bastards.

Some may just not be labeled but rather smell and color being specific.

I just created a potion of unknown effect. You want me to waste a label on it, Mairkurion? Seriously? Paper ain't cheap in dragon land, baby. It's not like you can find a Ye Olde P-touch 'round here.

They're not called DMs anymore, either.

I wouldn't label my potions for some d-bag that stole them.

I'd dump varying amounts of food coloring in them, and secretly codify them for my own private knowledge.

Sure, these big paws make scribing a breeze. Can I serenade you with Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 3 while I'm at it?
