Oh, really? So what is your Intelligence? From your posts, I'd guess somewhere around a '3'. And my Intelligence is '4'. Sucks to be you.

Well, if we go by Classic Horrors revisited, my stats are similar to the Skeletal Champion, who has a listed intelligence of '9', which, if I remember correctly, is higher than '4'. Sorry lizard.

Of course, I've also heard rumors that Zombie Lords will be in the Bestiary II, so those stats could be higher.

Did I not hear Lord Jason (or was it Jacobs?) indicate that your beloved Juju Zombies would make an appearance?

That is the rumor.

Early Daffy kicked ass! Unlike, say, a kobold.

Anyone ever seen the WWII Bugs Bunny Cartoon "Herr meets hare?"

Featuring Bugs dressed as Joe Stalin?

I guess after WWII no one would show that one ... LOL

Liberty's Edge Contributor, RPG Superstar 2012

I remember a lot of the old Bugs Bunny cartoons that they would never show today.

Good morning, everyone! Everyone being Patrick and AZ, it looks like. :)

@Taig: Yeah, I remember when you could see LT pretty much all Saturday. Now even with 500 channels, they seem to not be an option. Or Tom & Jerry. Or the Flintstones.

I guess they aren't PC enough. We have to go with Ed, Edd and Eddy instead ... *sigh*

Although, I admit I liked The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy. I haven't seen anything out currently that I like.

Hey, you live, you learn. I used to be one of the biggest supporters of political discussion threads. I've learned my lesson. The Internet allows just too much troll asshattery to grow like a fungus. Plus lil' spring peepers feel like froghemoths when they are safely behind a computer screen far from anyone they are insulting.

There's definitely a lot of sentient fungi out there.

re cartoons- many of the 'lost' Warner Bros. are available on dvd.

But for recent stuff, I admit to enjoying 'Penguins'. And 'Neighbors from Hell' has been good.

What's this ... 'Neighbors from Hell' you speak of? First I've heard of it outside of the real world. :p

I hear good things about 'Penguins' from friends with young children. I don't really have the excuse I used to for watching cartoons. The tradeoff is that I watch a lot more genre TV, since my son watches it now. My daughter is still watching the tween dreck they serve on TV ('iCarly' is a guilty pleasure, though).

I'm not sure if I got ghosted or the new posts counter isn't working for me here. Meh.

What are you talking about? I watch those shows all the time! Check out Boomerang- it's where all the old cartoons went. The only "PC" thing I've noticed is the removal of disgusting stereotypes in many of the cartoons- but if you are a completionist, you can indeed get those on DVD. I just watched some good old fashioned Coyote and Roadrunner a few days ago. That show got me interested in physics, although I have to say that I was horribly disappointed when the reality did not match the fantasy, particularly where the teachers were involved.

Goooooooooooooooooooood morning Fawlty HOUSE!

Spoiler:
It's lupus!

God, I hate that show.

Good news everybody! My uncle in law has gone back home to CA. The home is a little more manageable with only 3 people in it, and I've nudged my wife to spend time with her father because her uncle was really keeping him out of the house with his rambling. She doesn't see it that way and is miffed that he has been spending more time with his son and grandkids than her, but I think it may mean that we need to make some grands for him! :-D

Unfortunately the dinner last night did not happen, nor was I at the weekly D&D game. They understood that in laws were in town, but I still would have preferred to get a dinner out of it!!!! I might be able to squeeze one in today, but I have to go to the second job tonight, and I think I'll be in Hell's Kitchen, so I may have to leave early. Man, life gets complicated sometimes....

Well, that's about it for me. Only a few weeks til OTAKON and SC, I'm getting less nervous and more excited. I wonder who the guest of honor will be at Otakon this year, and what band will be playing...

So, what did I miss?

Liberty's Edge Contributor, RPG Superstar 2012

Agreed about the awful caricatures as stereotypes, so there's definitely no loss there. Unfortunately, a lot of the "violent" cartoons have fallen out of circulation too.

Morning FAWTLhouse. Went to the local Harkins last night, saw The Sorcerers Apprentice. It rocked hard!

Is this work related?

Probably, but I can't really prove it. OTOH, I do have good insurance.

I have the first and third collections of Looney Tunes. The first one is pretty tame. I wanted the third one because it has "dragons is such idgots". That one also has a whole disk of Speedy Gonzales -- which most would consider rascist today. But there is also a whole disk of much older ones -- most black and white -- that are over the top being innappropriate. It's an interesting look at where we've come from.

Sooooo... apparently Malfeshnekor shouldn't be taken on with a half strength Level 3 party. As a result, I am now Deader than Disco. :(

To be fair, the concept of the cartoon being primarily a children's entertainment didn't really happen until the marriage of television and Saturday mornings...

That notwithstanding, you can make any claim on the boards you want. For example, Flash's claims about his...prowess. Hypothetically speaking, of course.

Oh, I understand that. It used to be that cartoons were shown before movies in theatres. I just think that even in today's adult entertainment, people generally try to avoid making fun of racial typecasting.

And cartoons have changed quite a bit. I have a few old Speed Racer cartoons on DVD. People smoke, shoot guns at people, and a few other things that are near impossible to find in today's cartoons.

Yeah it was a pretty fncked situation all round. He was on -6 hp and instead of attacking the guy standing next to him, Malfeshnekor decided to attack Big John, who was in the process of getting pulled to safety (the Rogue doing it had already pulled the Sorcerer to safety using this method).
