This just in...Americans wholy responsible for Oil Leak. Not a Single Brit in the decision making process triangle: US GOV[We approve this shoddy workmanship to keep American businesses afloat] - US SUBCONTRACTORS[If we cut corners on the BP Contract the Bosses will give us a christmas bonus] - US RIG WORKERS[Stuff it...it will hold...lets go back to the Drunken Party where we will let the boss flip the switch to start the pumps]

Oh you mean the company formed by the merger of British Petrolium and AmaCo (American)? Or the rig that was run by TransOcean (American)? Or the blowout preventer installed by Haliburton (American)? Or the one that was sigend off as fine by the (American) regulator?

In short, why is only the British part of this f~%! up getting the blame? I count four American parts of the f~@% up to one British. When are you going to take some responsibility for a change?

EDIT: Damn, I appear to be agreeing with Yellowdingo. Where's that peral-handled revolver and whiskey?

Because BP's the oil company! They're like the royal flush of corporate villains. And, because in that labyrinth you pointed out, they were at the top of the pyramid, so to speak.

And because the President/the media says so.

Well, as long as there's a good reason.

Didn't say it was good. Hell, I think they should all be held accountable, locked in a room with 10,000 five year olds, and forced to watch Handy Manny for 20 days straight.

Edit: And then we get mean.

i was going to call you a soulless monster, but I'm not sure. Would you take it as a compliment?

Hey, a larger share of BP shares are held by american pensioners than british ones...BPs your problem not ours.

Sorry, if that sounded slightly narky, but I kind thought that Paizo's community was to smart to fall for the 'British petroleum' line.

It's actually just BP now. Since the merger with AmaCo, it's official company name is BP. It doesn't stand for anything, just like KFC no longer stands for Kentucky Fried Chicken and IBM doesn't mean International Business Machines.

Althoguh if it was Betty Page, at least their spokesperson would look good on tv.

The KFC name change I can understand. That craps an insult to the very idea of fried chicken.

Actually, it was me who was being a bit snarky. :) I was having fun with your words. I grew up on the Gulf Coast and I am firmly aware of whose problem this whole debacle is, while folks are looking for whose responsibility it is.

Actually, that's thre sound of someone lining up a shotgun and letting off both barrels...through their own foot. If BP dies, no one gets compensated, thousands of jobs go across the world AND a massive component of everyones' pension ceases to give us any money. Way to go, people. Simply brilliant.

Agreed. The 'secret blend of herbs and spices' gave me food poisoning both times I ate there.

And BP also makes sense, given it's now owned 40% Uk and 39% America. Hardly British anymore, don't you think, old boy?

Just a little lower and it will be a good time to buy. Maybe if enough people get together they can put in a new board that might act responsibly.

It hasn't been the same since the Col. died. Wendy's seems to be doing the same thing too.

I bet the lawyers love this .

Everyone knows that the oil disaster was merely the first step in the Brits design of a Death Star.
