It's actually just BP now. Since the merger with AmaCo, it's official company name is BP. It doesn't stand for anything, just like KFC no longer stands for Kentucky Fried Chicken and IBM doesn't mean International Business Machines.
Althoguh if it was Betty Page, at least their spokesperson would look good on tv.

Actually, it was me who was being a bit snarky. :) I was having fun with your words. I grew up on the Gulf Coast and I am firmly aware of whose problem this whole debacle is, while folks are looking for whose responsibility it is.

Actually, that's thre sound of someone lining up a shotgun and letting off both barrels...through their own foot. If BP dies, no one gets compensated, thousands of jobs go across the world AND a massive component of everyones' pension ceases to give us any money. Way to go, people. Simply brilliant.

And BP also makes sense, given it's now owned 40% Uk and 39% America. Hardly British anymore, don't you think, old boy?
