My two cp:
Write Snarf out entirely. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE O GAWD PLEASE!!
Don't make Cheetara too feline (like giving her eight br...)
Otherwise, it should be lotsa fun.
Hey, Snarf MADE the Blundercats.
And Cheetara with 8 breasts? Consider this another vote in that favor. Too many breasts can NEVER be a bad thing.

Memo circulated at Studio 4°C concerning character, Snarf, source unconfirmed:
In the grimdark future of the new, gritty Thundercats, Snarf will be reimaged to appeal to a mature audience by becoming a shameless knockoff of Rocket Raccoon. Cartoon Network will explain this transformation of character by having his nephew Snarfer devoured by the mutant Monkian in the first episode. Also, Snarf will ride some sort of space motorcycle. *Possible spin-off series?*

Post-it note discovered affixed to Studio 4°C character design monitor concerning secondary characters, Berbils, source unconfirmed:
Berbils not dark enough, suggest complete overhaul. *Possible spin-off series?*

Maybe they can get the polar bear from lost a cameo. He's already been in The Venture Bros.
I'm not so sure about that, remember in the original series that any non-cat was an evil mutant.
I have followed some of the comic book series and thye are all over the place with the story line. The weridest one I read was that mum-ra won and the other thundercats were in hideing while lion-o was trapped in the book of omens. The thunderkids were mum-ra's slaves/servants/sex objects and he used them both liberally in exchange for not hunting down the other thundercats. Snarf mamaged to get into the book and tell lion-o what was going on and then after freeing kit and kat he rallied the others for the battle of third earth. That however was just one of the graphic novels about the cats. Another has a bunch of dogs invadeing new thundera while an aged lion-o is on the throne.Just goes to show the thundercats were very popular even after their day.

I wouldn't say every non-cat was an evil mutant in the original series. The Thundercats had lots of allies on Third Earth who weren't cat-like. You had the ridiculous berbils, the amazon women and the tuska walrus-men. Then there was the yeti knight Snowman, and Mandora the Evil-Chaser along with the samurai Hachiman.
The Thundercats had such a diverse and well-developed world I'm surprised it's never become an RPG.

I'm not. Everyone would want to play Mum-Ra. First level and already immortal?
I do see your point about the others though, I had forgotten about the tuskas and the silly berbils( c'mon robot teddy bears!!) but the others were awesome. My favorite team was the luna tacks, except for luna she was just annoying and should have been deep freezed by chilla.Velcro Zipper |
Mumm-Ra would have to be a unique adversary and not a character option. It's not like there were a bunch of immortal mummy wizards running around Third Earth. I could see race options pulled from the good races of Third Earth and the Thunderians and classes would have to involve more options for technological characters like scientists and engineers. Anyway, I hope the new show isn't too grimdark. Part of what made the original show work so well were the lighter moments.
