I have a char concept that I would like to submit, but in the spirit of full disclosure, I am slated to begin this AP as the DM in a few weeks. I would love to be able to take part of it as a player, as I have been playing/mainly DMing for almost 25 yrs now, but understand if it would make you feel too uncomfortable with me having the knowledge of the books.

However if you might be comfortable with it, I will get cracking on submitting the concept tonight.

Either way it goes, I will look forward to following this game once it starts.

As stated above to a previous poster, as long as you ensure you don't metagame feel free to submit a concept. When the game starts I will call you on any metagaming I feel you are doing :). Also, ky Kingmaker game won't be exactly the same as the book version.

Outstanding, one char concept coming up!

I'll admit I was expecting more applicants...

This has been a surprise to me as well. Whenever I would get up in the morning and browse to see if there was a PbP recruiting, most of the time it would have been up for 3 hours and 10 people would have dog piled on it already. And I would simply sigh in frustration when the GM said "This is first come, first serve."

Maybe there are just a lot of Kingmaker games going?

Barator,

I too was surprised by the number of applications (though it does seem like it is filling up now). I think that there being a dead-line and that Alexander is choosing from all the submissions has prompted many people to put a lot of work into their submissions before posting. Personally I would have liked to work more on Edric but feared the mounted warrior would be a popular character choice and so posted early in hopes of beating the rush. Time will tell whether I this was a smart move or not. Also I think that Alexander's timely response to questions makes the thread appear fuller than it actually is. I almost did not open it originally due to the fact that there were already 20+ posts but once reading through I found out there were only 4 applications.
Thanks,
Evan

Mounted warrior does seem like a great character archetype to bring to the Kingmaker setting from what I have heard of it.

I'm glad that more folks seem to be replying now and saying they have been quiet and taking their time. Hopefully there is a good game forming up here. I too submitted my character early on because I didn't want the game to fill up to quickly and be counted out (even though there is a deadline, I have seen a number of DMs favor early submissions).

Plus, I know if I don't do things like this early in the week, I won't later on in the week. I get more bogged down with getting my weekend game prepped. On Saturdays I pop up at 8 am and go pick folks up for about 2 hours, then cook and DM for the rest of the day until I take folks home, generally returning around 2 am.

As a fair note to Alexander Kilcoyne, Saturdays I am not going to be around to post. I can try to get one in late Friday night as well as Saturday before I head to bed. On some weeks I may be able to get a post up in the morning before game starts, but that I don't know if I would count on. Other than Saturday, I am available to post numerous times during my day (generally 8 am to midnight, GMT -8). Hopefully none of that comes back and bites me in the sensitives.

One way or another I hope Alexander Kilcoyne gets a great group of frequent posters together. I would love for one of them to be me.

Randal Silversand:

Randal Silversand, Human Wizard(Evoker)
Growing up, Randal was known as a bit of a hot head. The only thing more impressive than his willingness to start a fight with someone bigger than himself was the ingenuity of the ways he would get revenge on them later(they were bigger, after all). His parents were quite glad when Faslo, the town wizard showed a willingness to take Randal in as an apprentice. While he wasn't always the most attentive student, Randal's raw talent often pulled him through his lessons. After the recent, burning incident at the local tavern, Faslo decided Randal was trained "well enough", and dismissed Randal from the rest of his commitment, urging him to travel "far and fast".

Randal has decided to prove himself in a new land, and to live up to the legends his grandmother used to tell him of his great-great-grandfather the brave adventurer.

His leadership role could easily be that of Magister.

Name:Kortus Ironforge
Race: Dwarf
Gender: Male
Class: Druid/Fighter
Traits: Pioneer and Indomitable Faith
Leadership role: Councilor or Warden

Overview:
Kortus is a battle druid in the service of Erastil. While his brethren act as guides and advisors, Kortus knows his calling is to mete out the justice that those who would threaten the communities deserve.

He sees the chance to go into the Stolen Lands as a chance to assist in the proper transition from wilderness to homesteads, as well as a chance to return to the lands which stole his wife and child from him.

I will come back in and clean up the overview some, but wanted to get the ball rolling with him.

I followed Sully's game with great interest and I check at least once a day; but there will be at least 3 (unconsecutive) weeks in the next 3 months when I won't be able to do that. Additionally...I would not want to access google wave. Additionally, I tend to build extremely sub-optimal characters- I care much more about roleplaying than numerical design.

I am currently GMing 2 games of Kingmaker- and read all the PBPs and Campaign Journals and every post in the KM forum (yes, every post...) with great interest, and I love the expansion that some people have done on the game.

With those caveats and realizing they may DQ me but still expressing my interest and respect for your roleplaying efforts as Berenkor in Sully's game and your 6 player conversion, and also expressing full support for a very fast moving game that may require a DM to take some moves for me and supporting that over a dead game or a slow game, and noting that I have previously run a 6 month PBP game on another forum (so I understand the need for commitment); here's my submission:

---
Ivan Garess, 29
Human Rogue (Going Rogue/Fighter)

Spoiler:

Trait: Noble Family (Garess), Accelerated Drinker from here: http://nethys.karuikage.net/traits.htm
Role: Spymaster, or Royal Executioner

Personality: Dour, but wise-cracks; like Eyeore mixed with Indiana Jones. "Another dead bandit executed by our swords? Another ghost to haunt my dreams... better go kill some good looking people to balance out those dreams." Bold and self-punishing. "No worry. I will watch fatigued for the entire night while the spellpeople dream their magical sleep. Maybe sometime in the future then they can heal me of my hangover. (Raises glass and starts drinking 1 per hour)". Alcoholic.

Motivation:
Wants to leave the past behind and forget everything he ever knew about Brevoy. Still writes to his father and his Uncle, Lord Howlan from time to time, but he wants to close that past, find a partner and a new land and opportunity. He does nothing but drink in Brevoy and there he has disgraced himself and all know of this. Now he wants a second chance.

Tendencies are to dislike thieves because they are dishonorable. He generally wants his fellow adventurers to be honorable. While he may not like dwarves, he is slowly getting over his hate for them and he realizes that they probably did not take his beloved cousin from him. He does believe in redemption, but he is generally sour about second chances.

Background:
He blames dwarves for his very close cousin's, Lord Howlan's son, disappearance when the Rogarvians and Goluyshkin dwarves disappeared. He started drinking hard that night, ten years ago, and he has not stopped since. He has asked everyone in New Stetven and Restov about the disappearance, he has been to Skywatch and tried to scale the walls, and he has traveled through the Icerim Mountains, all to no avail as he sank deeper and deeper into drink and delerium. After a fight with some dwarves in a seedy New Stetven bar, he was shipped back to his uncle Howlan who found a convenient way to get him out of the picture and out of punishment by sending him to the Stolen Lands as the family's designated explorer. Now he has given up about thinking of the past and he wants to stoically concentrate on the future.

Aspirations:
1. Quit the Drink... as much as possible
2. Start a new life and win honor for himself and his legacy- and honor Lord Howlan son (Bren?'s) legacy the way Bren would have wanted him to.
3. Find a partner in life and start a family and a legacy.
4. Uphold honor and righteousness.

RPG Superstar 2011 Top 4

I'm thinking I may be interested in joining. I have a ton of time on my hands now that I quit the WoW habit. I'm running a tabletop Kingmaker game, a PbP one on the boards here (check it out if you haven't, I love comments!), and I'm playing in two PbP's that just started up. Even with that I'm still finding myself a little stir crazy.

I've got no issues with metagaming. Wouldn't touch it with a 10-ft pole.

So far I've yet to really see many monks in Kingmaker. Which is interesting because one of the iconics for this AP is Sajan!

Here's my offering.

Peiter Teskerton:
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Class: Monk
Traits: Rostlander and Bullied
Leadership role: Warden/General/Royal Assassin (purveyor of law)?

Overview: Growing up Peiter was a strong lad. Not overly smart, or handsome, he was strong. He lived in a small village in the middle of the Rostland Plain. Each day he and his beautiful mute sister would be picked on by the local bullies.

Despite his strength, Peiter would always be made a fool when he tried to defend himself or his sisters. That is until an old hermetic monk traveled through the village. When the man saw Peiter knocked down and beaten up he came to him afterward and offered to sell him a manual of martial arts. Inside, he claimed, lay the secrets to his discipline, for the small sum of five gold.

Peiter rushed home and crushed the clay jar he kept his savings within. When he returned to the town square with a bag of coppers and silvers the old man smiled a toothy grin and traded him the book. While not the greatest reader Peiter could make sense of the pictures. He practiced each night for two weeks before he felt confident enough to try and defend himself.

Finally a day came when the leader of the bullies had knocked his sister over. Insisting she ask him to stop before he continued he proceeded tear at her clothing. Peiter charged straight at him grabbing his arm and trying to flip the boy to the ground. When the fight ended Peiter was scuffed and bloodied but victorious. Afterward he explained what he had been doing to his sister. However rather then being thankful, she slapped him and wrote explaining, [I liked the gentle you. Now they will try to hurt you and you will try to fight and more people will be hurt.]

Hurt and confused Peiter ran from home. With the clothes on his back and the booklet of martial arts he ran from home at the age of fifteen. What his sister said was true. Any time he sees someone being hurt or bullied he feels compelled to step in and try to stop them.

Peiter always tries to resolve fights by subduing or disarming his opponents using the techniques he has mastered over the years. Working as a simple porter he spends most of his time on the streets of Restov earning a meager living. This job also puts him in a good position to watch people and help those who need it.

A fine point - I changed Felix's name to Fritz as I remembered afterwards I'd already done a Felix - I try to keep my names distinct.

I was bored, so I statted the monk.

@LightDragon- if someone can propose a good working alternative to Google wave for me that the group can use to do the following, feel free to make a submission.

1. Be able to map out the hexes you explore and claim.
2. Be fully editable, with the ability for me to make notes and post 'public information' that you'd all know
3. Be a generally good medium for keeping tabs on the Kingdom building side of things

I tend towards Google wave because its something i'm familiar and comfortable with, but I could be persuaded to use google docs or something else perhaps. Any thoughts people?

I already use google for mail, calender, docs and several websites, so I have absolutely no problem using google wave. I'll need an invite, though.

On the other hand, I fully understand why some people prefer to avoid jumping on the google bandwagon. Several of the players in my RL group feel that way.

Unfortunately, I have no alternative to suggest.

In terms of invites, Google Wave is out of beta and doesn't require an invite anymore. I agree, its fair enough if people don't want to use it but its actually a very good resource for running an online game.

So here's my character:

Gyorgy Kasza

Background

Spoiler:
Gyorgy moved to southern Brevoy when he was 6 years old. His parents fled Ustalav because of the unrest in the capital of Caliphas. While Gyorgy doesn’t remember too much of his first home, he does have memories of shadows in the night, and his parents under constant terror. He also figures that it might be possible that his parents had an itch to leave, some sort of inherent Varisian trait to move. In the end he isn’t positive why his parents moved, but they did. They didn’t even have a final plan on where to stop along their trip. They just wanted to simply “get as far away from Ustalav as they could.”

It took them a year of slowly moving along the river, staying for a few weeks in one city to make enough money to ride on the next passing ship, to eventually reach Brevoy. The trip through the River Kingdoms was difficult though, cities were few and far between, and it was a completely unknown land to his parents. To pass the time his father told him stories of Ustalav, ancient Azlant, the world of the fey, and any other manner of tale. His father was an excellent storyteller, and passed on the talent admirably to his son.

Eventually it got to a point where they were let off a ship in between cities because they couldn’t pay. This so happened to be at the southern border of Brevoy next to the Stolen Lands. His parents decided that it was time to settle down. They built a house and began a farm, scavenging for food when necessary. Even though there was a small town about five miles away, it was a long distance for the family. They couldn’t always make what they needed so every month or so Gyorgy’s father and he would make the trip to the Hanyard’s Hill and buy all the required supplies for the month.

Gyorgy has lived this way for close to fifteen years, although now that he is older he is beginning to feel the Varisian lust for movement. Packing his things up and leaving his parents, he decided to answer the call he heard the last time he was in the Hill for adventurer’s to clear the Stolen Lands to the south.

Personality

Spoiler:
Gyorgy is a very easy going man, with a lust to see new things. He is neutral good, with tendencies towards chaotic. If possible, Gyorgy tries to answer problems/questions using tales that he has learned from his childhood. His father taught him many stories, some true, some not true, which he recites to others to inspire them or give wisdom. Gyorgy has a very special place in his heart for famers and country folk truly not living near anyone else. In those situations he may end up donating money or giving aid when he can.

Despite his courageousness in other circumstances, he is deathly afraid of sentient undead. While he doesn’t have a problem with skeletons, zombies, etc. , he has memories of unrest in Ustalav from his early childhood that include shadows in the night. This was expounded by the threat and rumors of vampires in Caliphas and the surrounding towns.

Gyrorgy has difficulty truly making friends, as he either never stayed long enough in a civilized place or lived in the country. However, because he has had few friends, he comes to cherish those truly good friends of his. He will protect, save, and work easily with any long-term companions despite any issues of alignment, etc.

Combat Role

Spoiler:
He is a support caster and support person through and through. While he might be able to attack once or twice, he will not be the damage dealer of the party. His actions will be used more for spells, bardic music, throwing nets, alchemist fire, aid another, etc. rather than “I attack the enemy” (although that could happen too of course!). He also will not choose too many offensive spells, focusing more on spells like cat’s grace, heroism, and the like. If possible I’d like to look into taking the feats for Master Performer and Grand Master Performer from the Pathfinder Chronicles: Faction Guide. There are rules on how to use it without factions, but if you would like factions I think that could be workable too.

Leadership Role

Spoiler:
His first choice would be Councilor. He is looking to bring the “common folk” into the fabric of the new nation. While he isn’t an idiot or stupid, he does tend to sympathize with country-bred farmers, as that’s mostly what he’s known for his life. He also would attempt to steer the country towards a less autocratic system, or at the very minimum a very sympathetic (preferable empathetic) government for the people.

His Second choice would be Grand Diplomat. He sees himself as being able to broker deals with other nations, especially because of his unassuming nature. He would take a “lesser” position with other diplomats / nations because he isn’t a noble, or at least wasn’t noble-born. This tends to make others weaker and more vulnerable, letting him position negotiations where he wants it to be for the country. Similar to the Councilor role he would attempt to broker deals and advance the “common folk” as that is where he came from.

Crunch Synopsis

Spoiler:
CG Varisian Bard, might consider another class combination for class balance purpose, but it would probably be limited to a sorc/rogue combo, rogue, or intelligent/finesse fighter. Support caster and party buffer, some offensive spells. I don’t have the character sheet with me here at work, but he’ll definitely be taking the Pioneer trait from the Kingmaker Player’s Guide. I have the other chosen, but I can’t remember which it was. I believe the basic social trait that gives survival as a class skill.

I hope to be able to play, as it looks like it’ll be a great game. Also I have no problems with google wave, although I haven’t used it before. I’ll probably keep a version of my character in a shared google doc though.

My character wasn't on the list so I just wanted to make sure you had seen Malthir for consideration since it was submitted in the middle of the list of names above? Also I am not familiar with Google wave, is it the same as google sites? I know a number of groups use google sites and it is a good tool that most people should be able to access.

*throws hat into ring*

Spoiler:

Wibeke
Goblin Ranger

Origin: Wibeke (Wi-beh-ka) originally hails from southern Iobaria near the Icerime Peaks, where his tribe eked out a meager existence amid the harsh environment. He was captured by barbarian raiders during a skirmish and sold as a thrall to an Ulfen farmer outside of Vladmirr. Several years of toil and sweat were rewarded with beatings, barley gruel, and a small enclosure next to the family dog. Fate had other plans for the goblin, though, as plague took the farmer and his family. Wandering without aim, he came across a retired ranger living in hermitage. He was taken in by the woodsman, who saw a chance to pass on his skills and relieve the boredom of solitude. His education was regimented but effective, imparting to him knowledge of arms, stealth, and natural lore. A few seasons passed, and Wibeke took his leave to forge his own destiny. Traveling south down the Pharrus River, he entered Brevoy and cautiously made his way to Restov. He sees the offer of the Swordlords to be the opportunity he has long waited for to make a life of his own.

Personality: Wibeke is cautious and guarded in social interactions. He has seen firsthand what most civilized races do to goblins without a second thought and knows that discretion will often avoid confrontations. His ranger training has disciplined his mind, instilling in him a deep loyalty to his companions and a commitment to honoring his word.

Possible Leadership Positions: Royal Assassin or Spymaster. To Wibeke, a hunt is a hunt, whether for prey or for information.

Campaign Trait: Pioneer

Here is a picture, for reference.

Question for the DM;

If I take the Pioneer campaign trait, can I choose a mount more suitable for a Small size character? It says you begin play with a horse, but a pony or donkey may be more appropriate for my PC.

Or even a riding dog or goblin dog (although the goblin dog would probably be not be appropiate).

I've been thinking about your concept, but I just can't see a Goblin being given a Charter on behalf of restov. What I CAN see is a goblin being left for dead in the Stolen Lands, and somehow a hunter or cleric of Erastil taking pity on him and leaving him in the care of Oleg and Svetlana; recovering to full health and possibly indebted to Oleg and Svetlana as a result. Any thoughts?

Thanks for reading my submission! That looks great to me. Rather than wandering into Brevoy, Wibeke wandered into the Stolen Lands and was nearly killed by some beast before the aforementioned cleric of Erastil found him (their shared deity probably being the only thing keeping him from killing a goblin!). He works at Oleg's to pay his debt for taking him in. How does that sound?

Sounds fine. You may have to wait a few days before introducing your character should I pick this concept, but if your ok with that then no problem.

To anyone else interested, again a reminder; this is not first come first served. Feel free to make a submission, should you meet the criteria in the bolded text on my initial post.

I'm fine with lurking for a few days. I hope I get picked, there are some great character concepts that have been submitted. Best of luck to all!

Hi Alexander. Thank you. I figure google wave probably is the best but I have personal reasons for not wanting to use Google Docs or Wave.

That being said, I suppose a potential alternative is to post the edited hex maps and kingdom maps on photobucket or imageshack (free image hosting places). Basically one person starts an account, and we all share the account and can update the pictures if necessary.

The posts could just link to the images, and comments could be written on the images themselves.

If the game was run realtime rather than PbP, I would suggest something different, but I would figure just uploading the hexes to something like the aforementioned photo sites could work.

Best!

Check out my kingmaker game for how I'm running the exploring. it's working pretty well so far. Not sure what we'll do when we hit book two, but I'll figure something out.

I was actually the map-maker for a previous game of Kingmaker that sadly fell through very quickly. I used MapTool to make the map.

In case you are not familiar with the software, it is available as a free download at RPTools.net. It has a pretty steep learning curve, but produces beautiful maps.

HERE is an example of one I made recently (Fighting cactus treants in a desert campaign).

And HERE is the map I made for the Kingmaker campaign that ended prematurely. What do you think? I can have it reveal just one hex at a time and insert any icons or text labels.

Rather late and posting this under the wire, but this sounded fun so I thought I would put something here before the deadline. I should be able to post often and have google wave, though haven't much time to play with it.

Spoiler:

Velimir Medvyed

Human Witch with raven
Traits Noble Born Medvyed and Reactionary
Roles Spymaster/Magister

Background

Velimir was always a bit of a loner growing up, never really fitting in. One day a cleric of Desna traveled through the area. The tales of the open road tugged at him and he decided to travel with the man for awhile. For months they traveled around Brevoy with the cleric teaching Vel everything about Desna and grooming him to be a cleric. All of that changed one day when traveling with a caravan near the southern border of Brevoy they were ambushed by bandits who attacked and killed everyone.

Vel woke up injured and surprised to still be alive. He looked around to see everyone dead, including the cleric. A large number of ravens were picking at all of the corpses save the cleric's, where a lone raven sat, more purple than black, looking at Vel. Flying up to his shoulder, Vel knew that somehow this raven was responsible for his being alive. He also felt some sort of building power growing inside of him.

Vel buried his old friend, and hit the road north with his new friend. He didn't know how or when, but he vowed one day the road would return him to the southern border or beyond where he would both avenge his friend and get some information on what happened to him that day.

To echo tanner's sentiments- I also use MapTool to run one game of kingmaker over Skype- it works quite well. My maps don't look as pretty as his- but they have functioned fine-- if you need a tool to generate the maps with- and you can place little icons and markers on the map for other ideas that you add into the game. (My players did that)- MapTool works fine.

Looking forward to seeing the roster(!)

And if you are looking for extra side quests, feel free to borrow from the thread I started here: http://paizo.com/paizo/messageboards/paizoPublishing/pathfinder/adventurePa th/kingmaker/kingmakerExpansionFillingThingsOut&page=1

So, Friday has come at last. Anyone else waiting for Alexander Kilcoyne to post up who is in and who is out? Oh well, off to bed. Maybe when I awake it will be up...maybe it will be late in the day. OH THE DRAMA!

RPG Superstar 2011 Top 4

It might be Friday "technically."

Thanks for the submissions all. About to run my RL Kingmaker game; so i'll make decisions at about 7PMGMT+0.

Hoping to meet the deadline today, here is my concept:

Name: Sojourn Twiddledon
Race: Gnome
Class: Summoner
Traits: Dangerously Curious, Excitable

Personality, Motivations, Aspirations, & Background:

Personality:Sojourn is fascinated with practically everything. He has an insatiable curiosity (some call it dangerous), but he hasn’t found anything he couldn’t handle yet! He is very personable and uses his small stature to its best advantage (mostly by hiding behind big people). He is not cowardly, per se, but he is deathly afraid of engaging in melee combat. His affinity to his Eidolon, his quadruped companion, is one of mutual respect and protection. He cares for it and speaks to it as it were family.
He tends to be impatient if things aren’t moving quickly enough. He craves excitement and sometimes sets things in motion to get it if he gets bored (which is often).

Motivations:Sojourn is interested mostly in what the world has to offer. This quest has provided him a great opportunity to get out and experience it firsthand. He is not content to sit on the sidelines but to act (sometimes before thinking things through). He is interested in so much that sometimes even the most mundane items consume him as he considers the possibilities of where it has been. His current addiction is the occult – everything from extra-planar and the fey to the First World.

Aspirations: Sojourn strives to understand his heritage and that of the mysterious Fey as well. He seeks to make his mark in this world to show that size matters not. He ultimately would like the ear of the regent in the land, knowing that his words and advice is heeded and respected. (Councilor position).

Background:Sojourn is a gypsy at heart. He has traveled extensively throughout Golarian, moving from one settlement to another. If it weren’t for the fact that his abilities were innate, he would have little or no skills at all. His attentions are fleeting and swing from one subject to another quite often.
As a child, he was alone quite often, as his parents were pioneers who struggled to tame the land around them. He often sought companionship from nature as a result of his loneliness. From an early age, animals and creatures always seemed to be around him. He learned that if he concentrated hard enough, they would find their way to him. His connection with his eidolon came by accident. He discovered a strange summoning ritual from a wandering traveler and had to have it. Once attaining it (after incessant pestering to the owner), he attempted to study it but couldn’t wait to do it properly. He set about speaking the words and making the gestures in short order. Surprisingly, the worse thing that happened was waking up later with a dragon-shaped brand on his neck and being licked by a wingless dragon-looking creature. That creature had the same brand on its neck. Since then, the two have been inseparable. You can often find them conversing, sometimes without words at all. Boon, as the eidolon is often called, is overly protective of Sojourn. Sojourn, in turn, expects Boon to be treated as any other sentient being. In fact, Sojourn considers himself an animal-rights activist.

Class: Summoner

Just so you know, Alexander had stated that Alchemist and Summoner were classes that he was not going to allow in the game since he wasn't that happy with them as they stand. Figure it might be best for you to take that into consideration in case you wanted/needed to change any of your submission.

Thanks for the heads-up!

Here is my new submission:

Name: Sojourn Twiddledon
Race: Halfling
Class: Wizard
Traits: Theoretical Magician, Excitable

Personality, Motivations, Aspirations, & Background::

Personality:Sojourn is fascinated with practically everything. He has an insatiable curiosity (some call it dangerous), but he hasn’t found anything he couldn’t handle yet! From an early age, he learned that if he studied hard enough, that knowledge resulted in good things. In fact, he learned that knowledge could lead to power. The pursuit of power through knowledge is a driving force for Sojourn and it has led him from place to place to discover more.

Hi all. There are some amazing concepts here, and it was horribly hard trying to pick from them. I hope one of you will run a Kingmaker PBP as well and let some of these fine characters have a chance to shine. The five concepts/characters I have picked to play are-

Barator (undecided)
Evan Whitefield (Human Cavalier)
Malthir (Paladin/Cleric)
Calixymenthillian Fenna Thistleswade (Oracle)
JaceDK (Fighter/Bard)

The backup slots are given to-

Tanner Nielson (Goblin)
Digger (Dwarf Druid/Fighter)
Fritz
Vanulf

Really sorry i had to pick and choose; I went with gut instinct a lot of the time because frankly the quality of submissions was amazing. I will post a discussion thread up tonight for the game which I will post a link to here on this topic. Once that topic is up, I will not be looking at this thread again, so you only need to pay attention to the discussion thread and game thread.

Edit: We've just had a dropout in Sully's game, so potentially there may be a slot there.

*breathlessly* Dropout in Sully's game? How do I find out more?

Wohooo!!

Totally worth sitting here for the past hour hitting "refresh" every few minutes.

My first guess would be to keep an eye on the discussion thread and wait and see what Sully wants to do.

Congrats to everyone who made it into the first cut! I will be looking forward to following the game and seeing what tapestry you guys weave together.

Thanks for the opportunity, you won't be disappointed. Just let us know the OOC Discussion Thread name once it is up. I look forward to meeting the other members of the group!

OOC and Discussion thread is up. I won't be looking at this thread again until I need replacement characters.

Have fun guys! The gentle monk, Pieter, was fun to make regardless :)

*Necromances from the archives.*

Sadly the group is going to have to say farewell to Sir Edric Orlovsky, as Evan's work has started blocking the Paizo website and he is unable to post. As Tanner is already playing and Vanulf is running his/her own game, I was wondering if Digger and Fritz are still around and interested in playing?

The party are level 2, over halfway to Level 3. The party will consist of (once Edric leaves)-

Casimir- Human Fighter/Bard, going towards Eldritch Knight
Malthir- Stoic Human Paladin of Iomedae
Yelena- Recently joined Tiefling Witch, relative of Edric
Fenna- Gnome Heavens Oracle, ex-prophetess.

If Digger and Fritz are no longer available or don't reply to this thread, i'll be starting a new recruiting thread for an extra player in my game. The game is approaching 2,000 posts and has four very reliable players and DM.

Liberty's Edge

I'm definitely interested in throwing my hat in if they aren't available ^^ been wanting to do Kingmaker for awhile. I'll hunt down your reqs and keep an eye on your thread just in case~

EDIT: I'll admit i will be able to post a minimum of once a day usually without fail so long as internet holds out at work. Also my time is Alaska time GMT (-9:00) just thought i'd add that~

Anyway i'll keep an eye on this and see what happens hopefully those guys show up to play =) i'd hate to see them miss out on an awesome AP xD

Sovereign Court

Ok no problem. The rews are listed in this topic, APG stuff is permitted, and starting level would be level 2. Going to give a bit of time for digger or fritz before I open up recruitment though.

Liberty's Edge

Is anyone main healing for the party? Or should i focus on muscle? >=).

I don't mind setting up a character to fill a needed role. Besides that i've played since 1st edition all the way to pathfinder *never tried 4e :P not my style* but i digress. Because of my experiance's I'm used to taking up whatever role is needed since i've been both a player/dm for a long time and its more fun when we aren't getting our collective arses handed to us ;).

Just thought i'd ask :)

i'll throw something together here in a bit since its 3:40 am where i'm at its time for me to hit the hay xD.

Sovereign Court

The partys Oracle gets all the cure spells for free, take what you will from that. They seem to get enough healing. They have just lost a tin can mounted combat character. I would hold fire on making a character until i've given my backup slots time to post.

*strolls through thread, while contemplating dropping his card*

If you open this up to new recruits... I would love a chance to submit a character. I have been following along and can post quite frequently... just ask Malthir! ;)

I am, or course, already playing in a Kingmaker PBP here on Paizo. I am also planning on running this AP for my home group in the future but want to experience the goodness that this AP is as a player first. I am also interested in getting some ideas and inspiration for my own campaign for when I GM it.

I'll keep an eye on this thread.

Cheers!
