Players Handbook 3

4th Edition

Has anyone gotten any play time or any experience with the players handbook 3 classes/races yet?

Just curious our group has been puttering along, and it is hard to get any of them to branch out, since all of them hate magic/psionics. :)

Silver Crusade

I'm considering playing a Minotaur Runepriest for a one-shot this weekend. I'll let you know how that goes.

We had a one-shot last weekend which featured a minotaur monk (who enjoyed being able to bounce all over the place and knock enemies about), and a hybrid warlord|runepriest who seemed like a lot of fun to play, aside from missing with 90% of her attacks. The runepriest especially intrigues me, and I like the idea of the versatility and adaptability it gives the character on the fly.

I've seen a bit of the psionic guys in action, and it hasn't been too exciting - but then, it was at low levels, where their own versatility hasn't yet come quite as much into play. I'd be interested to see them in action in the paragon tier, and see how much a difference that makes.

How did the weekend one shot go? Any others have any play time in the last couple of weeks?

Silver Crusade

The runepriest played fairly well. Lots of buffs and status effects to track, but that was manageable.

The one-shot was less-than-ideal because we didn't synergize our characters very well; they were all bulky front-liners with athletics, endurance, and intimidate.

Has anyone had an opportunity to see the monk in action? Thank you.
