It's Chopin's 200th birthday. If you're not familiar with his music, get familiar with it.

When I was 8 or 9, I decided that Chopin was my favorite composer. I based that decision on some of his Polonaises, some of his waltzes, and his Fanatasie-Impromptu.
As an adult, I decided that my favorite composer was Bach, or maybe Beethoven. But I still keep discovering great Chopin music, like some of his Scherzi, Ballades, Etudes, and... well, the list goes on.

Listened to the B flat minor nocturne a few times already (hey wait, don't I do that every day?). I don't much care for the waltzes and mazurkas, but I'll listen to some preludes, too. Chopin's Preludes are SO good. Oooohh C sharp minor prelude op 45 is SOOOOO good.
Thank you for this post, jolly one. This evening I was playing some Chopin on the piano, and I looked this piece up. I had entirely forgotten about it, but I used to play it back when I was in high school. It was a little rusty, but it is a gem, and I should work on it.
