Thinking of trading in my cellphone and Palm PDA for a Blackberry. Opinions?

They're virtually giving them away right now, so I'd go for it.

Blackberries are, indeed, waaaayyy available now. And there are many different types to choose from.

The wife and I finally converted over back in November, and I love mine. Being able to access my personal email anywhere is great. I've also downloaded a weather application, which is sweet. Being able to check the internet all the time is cool as well. My Blackberry (and I'd guess most of them) also has the ability to open word files, pdfs, powerpoint, excel.

Also, I was never big into texting before, but now I can see the appeal of it. If the wife is in a meeting, I can send her a quick text without disrupting things. I've even taken notes on mine during various meetings.

Hell, we were even able to order phones that don't have cameras.

So, anyway, I'd say go for it.

Mine does. Also MySpace and Flickr. And, it's got some sports and entertainment stuff, but I think you have to download the apps for them.

My wife and I bought Motorola Droids last November. We love them. We had never had smartphones before. Droid comes with a pre-install fb app.
