That was utterly uncalled for, and now I've gotta deal with the mess!

Your likeness is a meme. I blame you.

Mancrush!

Then again, I had someone tell me last week that they're naming their kitten after my RL name. Including surname.

Hmmm... Chemical Breakfast would be a good name for a band.

EDIT: Band Names for ToTP! ** runs through thread nekkid waving a coffeepot **

Band names I'm shopping:

Punching Amy Lee's Uterus

or

Five Finger Donkey Punch

WoW addiction? That would be my guess for an extended absence. :)
Ah, I know warcrack all to well.
I played DDO and enjoyed it since it was good for the amount of time I had to dedicate to it. I never would have gotten anywhere with WoW since I was only playing 5 hours or so of DDO a week. Then I found this bunch and don't have time for anything else. :D

I have never played a MMORPG. Ever. Not a single second.

Please do so.

Snooplatini and Teagan are cool, don't worry about those. Those fall under a more comedic take on the bird-brain thing. I was just a little freaked out because Studly Puffin wasn't a spoof, it was more a direct copy. It's really hard to tell the difference between that and my name at a glance, and the persistent posting really isn't my thing. I would like to avoid identity confusion.

Thanks TAD.

Caw.

Will do.

I wonder what happened to him after he posted this?

I'm pretty sure our collective energy sent him straight to apotheosis. These threads are his temple, but he is a distant deity, apparently. Occasionally, we see avatars of him. Right, Taig?

Shall we begin canonization? How does this start? Witnessed miracles?

I wouldn't call it a story. Stories have, ya know, plots and are designed to entertain and/or edify. This thing is designed for something else entirely.
There is a simplistic plot. It does not follow it very well and seems to have been taken from a message board argument that said author lost and was unhappy about.
Yeah, I pretty much remember some of the lines from the 'story' as being more or less direct quotes from the argument. At the very least it's pretty bad form to do that in the Wayfinder.
+1 Very bad form. I expected better from Wayfinder. I was going to look into finding a copy, but after reading this sad excuse of a hit piece masquerading as a fiction story I have lost interest. Lame, lame and a thousand times lame.

Perhaps it's just me. I want more fluff and crunch and less stories. I'd rather be Grossed out by a professional writer. ;P

Couple of things I liked about DDO:

* I only played between 5 and 10 hours a week and yet still had a level 16 (the max level back then) character and a bunch of 3rd-10th level characters. For that amount of time spent playing WoW I would barely have 1 maxed level character.

* I solo'd a lot due to timezone differences and yet still managed to get the above mentioned characters.

* I liked the gameplay and interface, which is good because I can be picky about such things (ie. I loved Neverwinter Nights because of the interface, yet hated NWN 2, which was a far superior game, simply because I did not like the new interface).

* It's D&D :)

I kinda wanted to have a posse of folks to play DDO with. But 1. I'm never paying for anything and 2. people would have to be tolerant of my n00bishness.

I tried to get toether with some of the other Paizo players but never got to meet with any of them. That was the reason I stated a new Character on a different server so I could join their Pathfinder Guild. Never eventuated since I could never find one of them online to join. :(

Man I'd love to play with you sometime! I'd find the time to play again, if only for a couple of hours here and ther, if I had someone to actually play with. Soloing is OK (I mean I practically levelled my Pally from 9-13 by soloing), but it doesn't beat playing with a good group.
There's a joke there..... I just wonder if its too easy. :P

Thank you for saving me the trouble. :)
