It went...okay. Shoving a 5 hour scenario into a 3 hour time slot is trying. Not to mention I am having some store issues that I would rather not discuss here, but are influencing my desire to run PFS there. I think I need a break.

The scenario, The Darkest Vengeance , was a ton of fun and extremely well designed. The last encounter was particularly fun.

You got me curious. Feel free to drop me a rant on FB whenever convenient.

P.S. I'm soooo glad I put out mulch back on Sunday. With the daily rainstorms we've been having (like right now), it'll do wonders for my landscaping. :)

We did Origins and GenCon last year, but I knew I couldn't swing both this year.

And I am not going back over the 692 posts since I last checked in. Sheesh! Try to take a small break from the boards...

So you're still going to do Origins, then?

I still haven't registered. It'll likely be a last minute thing for me. But more than likely it'd just be a one-day pass for me. Like a Saturday...

No Origins either. I can't justify it with us bleeding money for medical bills.

My buds are thinking about having a game weekend in Cincinatti this summer to make up for it. Lots of Hero games for that lot though. I should give them CourtFool's dog license #.

I'll be at Origins this year, though I imagine you already predicted that. ;) I am running 5 slots of PFS, which should be interesting. I haven't run a con game in a few years, not since I worked on the demo team for Fanpro.

Okay, remind me again - which FAWTLY that's going to MB is looking for any particular 3.x hardcovers (or anything in particular)?

The books I could pick up would be, at the most, half off the cover price plus sales tax. If there is a particular book that I can obtain between today and next Tuesday that would get onto your "YES PICK IT UP I WILL PAY YOU BACK", speak up.

I know LPM wants Deities & Demigods, but I haven't run across that yet. I'm going to try to squeeze in a covert HPB run while down in Cincy this weekend two while the lil lady is getting her hair done and attending her sister-in-law's baby sprinkle.

I want and am willing to pay you back for...

Heroes of Horror
MM III & IV
Races of Wild, Destiny, Dragon
Manual of the Planes
Races of Faerun
Magic of Faerun
Players Guide to Faerun

There are a few others, but I will have to check.

Don't forget that in 4e, paladins can be any alignment. That makes anything possible.

But

that is not a PALADIN.
Rather it's a P4L4DIN.

(Why oh why am I pushing my luck? Must be end of semester fever.)

Oh sure, blame your students...

I can't blame them for leaving one of the A's in. Man, imperfection really bugs me.

Sorry to hear about the continuing search. Glad you're still continuing, though.

I won't be making any conventions this year, I think. However, I'm determined to make it to Paizocon one year, and would like to do so before I turn 40, which would mean I'd have to make it to Paizocon 2011.

I'm going to be a 40 year old Con virgin. It sure would be great to take care of that at PaizoCon 2011, though.

Old Con Story:
I went to GenCon -- I think it was back in '97. This was back when it was in Milwaukee. I did a couple of games -- never done games like that before. It was an experience.

But the one that got me was this one. The DM was a woman and she had freaky cat's eye contacts that were distracting to say the least. I believe that we were using 2nd edition rules and our characters ranged from 2nd level to 8th level. We were all damaged a little to begin with so our max hp was down. Then a band -- A BAND -- of TROLLS came upon us. TROLLS! I will never forget it when she started looking up the stats and she said -- OUT LOUD -- "Oh. They can do that?" It was only through divine DM intervention that anyone survived.

Time was called and I was bleeding to death. Which was something of a relief at the time.

I'm glad I did it the one time. Not sure I'm real anxious to do it again -- except for PaizoCon. I'd love to meet a lot of the Paizonians in person.

The Exchange

sorry to hear about your job Search Issues Taig.

Event Horizon huh? Might have to give it a try again.

I'm in the minority with Event Horizon. I thought it was "The Shining" (Jack Nicholson (sp?) version) in space. It was ok. Just a bit too ... much for me.

I have seen Races of the Dragon & Manual of the Planes.

I don't see it listed, but were you wanting Dragon Magic too? I saw that out there yesterday.

Hmm... I loved The Shining. Trying to remember if I've seen EH.

Silver Crusade

Is it time to go home yet?

~shrugs~ Sure. I am missing that and the Minatures Handbook as well.

Heh. Sam Neill has that effect. But that's probably why I like him.

****

Another movie that's underrated that I really love? The Exorcist III. It's really more of a psychological thriller with horror undertones. George C. Scott is excellent in that film as the protagonist.

Also stars Laurence Fishburne.

The Exchange

well I am off for most of the rest of the day.

Taking my wife to work.

going directly from their to my oldest sons school where he is in his first play. He is going to be playing a character who is a Black man. I just hope they do not use black face. ;) seriously though I am very proud of him for this and hope he does well. Break a leg that is.

Then picking up my youngest and going to Riverfest, assuming it is not pouring down rain.

then suppertime as my wife will get dropped off at the fest to meet us.

then I have to go fix my ex father in laws internet so my nephew does not waste away his days looking at internet porn.

have fun guys.

Whew.....wow. Ok, two trash runs down, bed picked up, crib taken out, bed put in, stopped at Wally world and picked up two bookcases so that we can start organizing the living area, and bought a new broom so that I don't have to break my back trying to sweep.
And Riley is asleep in his new FireTruck Bed! Oh and is that thing HUGE! I wasn't sure it would fit in the back of the Jimmy. We had to tie and tether it down! And Kellen had to help me get it in the house!

I. Will. Never. Go. To. Walmart. With. All. Three. Kids. Alone. Ever. Again. :S

Oh, and had a mystery camera developed...turned out to be baby pics of Riley, which is awesome! I had lost all we had on a lost sim card! :D

Mmm, chocolate....you're right there should be chocolate.... *starts digging around looking for chocolate* .....I know I had some around here somewhere! Hmm....I wonder if hubby will miss his Boston Cream Puff?

I forgot how cute Riley was when he was a newbie....I so wish he still was. But he is adorable sleeping in his big boy bed.

Thats what I am trying to decide.......weighing options.....I think I will just wait for him to wake from his lunch time nap. I only have 10 more minutes....and I will just ask for it. :)

He needs to hurry up and wake up. I want my bookshelves out of the Jimmy. Too heavy for me to carry in, was hard enough transferring them from shelf to buggy and buggy to Jimmy.

Liberty's Edge

The Civil Religious discussion has exploded here lately, having trouble keeping up with my reading!

I think a lot of people like to read it even though they don't post there often (if at all).

I'm getting frustrated though. I know what I'm thinking. I try to write it out. And then I read some of the responses and think "huh?".

So this is the list of people who are going to be at MB next weekend.

Myself (Sharoth),
Urzen,
taig,
Woodraven,
The Eldrich Mr. shiny,
Solnes,
and her slave Moorluck.

Is that all?

Hell with it, I am gonna wake him. :)

Mmmmm. Pot Noodle.

I'm getting that from everyone when I'm reading that thread right now. It seems everyone is trying to steer the argument, no one is successful.

I think the bookshelves will wait till hubby can do them.

They make it into noodles now?

Well, I guess that takes care of the problem of it always making you hungry...
