Why would it have been difficult?
For those of us without Mom. :(
Understand all too well, sir....

Sorry guys. This time next year, I'll be with you. :(

We'll be here for you. :(

Good evening to all.

I give the first final exam today.

PS They still might be doomed, no matter what.

The sad thing? It's probably the multi-choice that will do them in before they even get to the free form essay.

Idiocracy is at hand.

Unfortunately, section 2 seems to be confirming this prediction. Hopefully section 1 (which historically almost always does better) will do better on Wednesday.

Good evening, Thing. How are things beyond the edge?

Last night was fun. went to a place in Des Moines called Hessn Haus and I had a litre Ayinger Celebrator Damn good bier.

I approve of that Teutonic tavern.

*returns from elsewhere*

Not too shabby here.

It is fairly cool here though, with a high in the 60s.

It got crazy windy here. When I left the school in Coppell, trees were bending over and people were having a hard time walking to there cars. When I got to my side of town, it was windier than usual, but not crazy windy. I think we just barely missed out on a storm system or something.

We are having constant Tornado Warnings. I Guess Dorothy is getting ready for another trip.

Another slow day on the boards...

I think I will catch you guys later.

Needs more Teutonic Frauen Brüste to go along with the Bier.

Just got out of the basement shelter here at work.

Evening all. Frost warnings up for us here, not in the same league as tornados but distressing to a gardener nonetheless.

What! I thought he was in Europe?

Today is t-shirt and shorts weather. Tomorrow it's supposed to snow. Pretty typical for us.

My Russian/Ukrainian buddy wants me to take a job on his faculty in St Paul. That would get me some weather.

Not any you would want though.

I'm surprised you didn't get busted for this. :)

Yes, Aberzombie wants his leg humped. A belated birthday present...
What? You mean that rather handsome and debonair undead guy over there?
That's the one. You don't even have to worry about him eating your brains.

Brain? What's that?

We had bad wind over the weekend, and a tree even came down on Saturday, right down the street.

I actually don't enjoy Mother's Day for a similar, yet different reason. My mother and myself do not speak to each other anymore. The last time we spoke wasn't an argument, she simply chose to no longer speak to me. At this point, in her mind, she only has one son.

Chilly here too. It won't get down to freezing, but it we are expecting a low of 47 and rain.

:/

Spoiler:
A lot of intrafamilial schisms occurred after mom died. I haven't seen my sister since spring 2006, her first-born daughter since May '05, and I've never met her son who I believe was born sometime late '06. I've not seen my brother since July '08. I keep in contact with my father, though. Unlike my woman's family who are very close and large in their numbers, mine has been small and distanced.

I threw on a long sleeve shirt and jeans and ended up working outside putting out 13 bags of mulch over the landscaping. One more off the honey-do list. :P

I know you're in the middle of all of that packing. When's the official big move date? The sooner the better, I imagine!

For close to 10 years, my mom didn't speak to me, because I still talked to my dad after their divorce. It wasn't until she was hospitalized in November that she finally started talking to me again. She has, however, no interest in talking to either of my two sisters.

Ugh! All I can smell and taste is bleach. But the bathroom is now clean. Ya'll may use it. :)

And here I thought my family life was crappy

Hmm, stressful family situations this evening. *hugs* seem to be in order.

Both hubby and I have strained relations with our parents. Mine are ok. They drink too much and indulge and enable my lil brother's childish lifestyle a bit too much for me. They also seem to never have time for their grandchildren, unless I take them over to see them, and stay through out the visit, and they are only 3 minutes from door to door. Some harsh words from a bad argument have also never been forgotten. So....meh.

Hubby's fam is a lil more complicated. I like his mom now, but she is def a different person today than she was 10 years ago. His brothers I could go the rest of time without seeing though....except the one...Frank, I like him.

Almost time to buckle down and finish my final paper. Now that the bathroom is done I have little excuse not to be working on it.

We'll blame it on his students papers driving him nuts and let it slide this time.

Well, its time to get the baby a toddler bed. I can no longer keep him in the crib. *sigh* I was hoping to keep him a baby a little longer. :'(

Ugh. Ditched two couches and grabbed a truckoad of dump loam. Then started gettting the new firewood arrainged for next season. That honey-do list gets ever longer ..

I sympathize with moving, Alleynbard. It's why I am contemplating never moving again :P

Found the baby a firetruck toddler bed. Its so cool! And on Craigslist...so chaep and turned out to be a friend of a friend selling it! So I know its in good shape! So excited!

** spoiler omitted **

Spoiler:

It's been hard on my family since Mom died. I think my sister and I are probably closer, but we're both distanced more from Dad, and likewise the grandkids. I'm not even really sure he's noticed. :\
