If Sharoth has a daughter, she'll be named Tilde.

The tilde seems pretty useless. Sometimes it's used to mean "approximately", which I can deal with, or as the Spanish "ñ". Otherwise I just associate it with Sharoth.

Well, how's about we share?

You're insulting a dragon's daughter? Brave angel.

Dude, that is great. Now if only I could use you to get out of arguments with the wife and slip out to late-night monday games in Manhattan!

Well, I can try... :\

Is that good?

I just got an email from the Market commons in MB and they say they check everyone's age who is staying there and they have to be over 25 unless married and/or with children. could it be because of an insurance thing?

Probably. It's the same thing for renting a car, only being married and having children doesn't help your case there. You simply cannot.

You guys could say you're married.

As long as it keeps her distracted long enough for me to get on the train, its good!

Oh, Woody Darling! I never knew! Why didn't you tell me?

I sold that idea to CH; it's being recast as The Cologne Wars.

Fixed that for you.

Hyphen or long dash?

When I was going over my diss. with the Academic Dean, she asked, "Are you sure you want to use Roman numerals for chapter numbers? It looks old-fashioned." To which I internally answered, "If you know me at all, you would know you had just answered your own question."

Long dash, of course.

Enjoy, AB.

CH: tildes can also mean NOT in symbolic logic.

G'evening to all.

funny story my boss told at work:

We were discussing safety and how things that you would never think about happening can happen and result in problems.

So, my boss began by explaining that at one time she had hair so long that she could nearly sit on it. So, one day her four year old asked if he could help her use the sweeper on the floor. She said yes. While she was pulling things on the floor out of the way, he moved the sweeper and her long hair got caught by the brush roller and began rolling her hair up. In fact, it rolled her hair to the point that it pulled the sweeper up by her head and it began banging into her head repeatedly: clonk. clonk clonk. Finally, she got it turned off but her son was quite upset.

Although it may not have been funny while it was occurring, she seems to think it is funny now, years later.

The Exchange

Ahhhhhhhhh. Home. I like home. Home is better than not home. Much better. Yup.

If you listen closely, I had him work "Waltzing Mathilda" into it, counter-punctually.

You win the prize. It is my one and only FB pic for now.

I thought about cleaning up a little after work but just said to heck with it and took a pic.

Very good. Even not cleaned up, you were less of a thing than your alias led me to believe.

Ha! That still leaves a whole lot of room on the negative side of "looks".

That is a question I will leave unanswered.

Now, what will Urizen do to bother me? Never mind answering that. I am sure he can think of something if he so chooses.

As long as you still have your sanity and are not making a comparison to something Lovcraftian, I am alright with that.

No, I'm quite confident that you have defeated him. He will trouble you no more.
