Good afternoon to all.

Again, to Treppa, I hope your health straightens out soon.

To Mairkurion, did you like the Wolfman? Or more importantly, was your wife pleased with the experience?

Hello to the Badgeh.

I'm doing fine here for any who are interested. ;)

And...I am signing off. See ya.

RPG Superstar 2012

Hello and goodbye, Thing. I'm glad to hear you're doing fine.

Good morning, Fawtly people. I went to the Wolfman last night at the cheap seats with my wife, how hadn't seen it. And today after mass we are going to the arboretum. Seems like after all this overtime, she's wanting to spend time with me. Hmm...
So, the key to your marital bliss is to make sure you work more overtime?

Don't be silly.

Make sure SHE works more overtime.

She liked going out. She thought the Wolfman was alright; not as excited about it as I. I guess I'm the minority who wanted to see it a second time.

Liberty's Edge

Never got to see it...too much overtime/call.

You're in luck: it's as the cheap seats on Coit now.

Liberty's Edge

I can't get there....I'll see it on the widescreen at home in a couple months.

Liberty's Edge

Saw Clash ot Titans, though; not a total loss.

Cool graphics.

Yeah, Taig and I went to see it Thursday when he was down here, not too shabby :)

Glad to see you around again. I hope things are going better for you and Moorluck.
So true, not much happening here. Someone discovered the tilde key on their keyboard. And:** spoiler omitted **
OK, I gotta know.... you said you grew up around Cooperstown, right? And now you're in Earthquake-ville. So how did you become a Cubs fan??

I was the Cooperstown guy. Born in Cooperstown, pretty much raised in Oneonta (with some Jersey sidetreks until I moved to Orlando at 16, then Texas at 17).

Liberty's Edge

My wife was mad coz Zeus

Spoiler:
brought his Mary Sue back from death and left his family dead.

@ Treppa. I am sure that you have already explained what is wrong...but we of the Mooreclan have been a moody and recluse like people as of late. ( We missed it) What is wrong? Are you going to be ok? You have our thoughts and prayers

I know I'm not Treppa, but...

Yesterday morning, around 10 AM, Treppa was starting to feel bad. She was short of breath, she had swelling and dizziness, and felt like she was going to pass out. I took her to the hospital, and thankfully it wasn't a problem with her heart as far as the ER could tell. Her family has some cardio-issues, so we go for a more thorough check monday.

I did a good deed by vaccuuming the great room on my own initiative without being told (yeah, it's a big thing here at home ... heh) and as soon as I'm done, the dog pulls out one of his toys that has chewed up rope strings and ... yeah, that chore was complete failure.

dum dee dum dee doo doo doo dah ... what to do next.

Liberty's Edge

Liberty's Edge

Ha, my mom is funny. When there is a problem, she'll find a way to solve it come hell or high water.

Vaccuum the rest of the house? It's on my list of Sunday chores, and I finished it.

That's good to hear. Does this mean things are improving on the family front?

I think cats would get on the web and tell everyone how smart they are. When they could be bothered to post, that is.

Now that we ripped out the carpet from the den the previous week, the great room is the only one on the main floor that has carpet. For now.

Scarab Sages

In the words of Ren Hoek:

I'm hurting.

Bottled some mead (including 2 gallons in with some fresh rasberries). The cleaned everything up. Then cut the grass + general yardwork.

Then the big job - my garden. Dug out the over grown part, dumping each bucket full of mud in the back yard. Then filled in what I pulled out with fresh garden soil from Lowes - 8 bags worth. Then did my planting - some marigolds, some petunias, and something called Cordelynes (or something like that).

Ouch.

True, but my misery does not end with the week beginning. Wife and I have to spend the rest of the week getting ready for her father and his friends to arrive next Saturday. Funny thing is, she won't be here.

Wife is leaving the day before they arrive for business in California. So I get a few days with them. But on the Monday following their arrival (a week from tomorrow) they're talking a train to D.C. for some 2nd Ammendment rally.

I hope the visit isn't too painful for you. Do you get along OK with your father-in-law?

Shouldn't be too bad. I do get along with him fairly well. He's a good guy. Ex-Air Force, and a Mechanical Engineer, just like wife and I. He's a bit more conservative than me, but that's OK. Better than the opposite.

If your floor doesn't have carpeting or tiles, then kind of covering does it have?
