As an aside, I did once have eggplant fries.

Silver Crusade

I like sweet potato fries.

Me too. They are by far my favorite. But then I don't really care for potatoes.

My father didn't tell us what they were made out of until after we had eaten them.

So, are you saying that AZ had a Parisian slip? He's secretly French?

Get him, boys!

I tried gaming last nite with our large group. The table talk was too much for me to process. My brain is still not able to procees that much input. There's no way I could handle one of my boss' 2 hour mtgs.

But more importantly, I didn't get to enjoy my favorite past time as much as I had hoped. :(

That's a bummer. Do the docs anticipate improvement in that area?

Yeah, in time. It's only been 5 1/2 weeks so I'm pushing it I guess. I'm trying to determine my limits so I can update the doc properly tomorrow. I don't think I'm ready to dive back into work if I can't handle noise. Yes, I'm in a cube farm.

Tired and weak all the time. Fatigued if I exert myself. The constant dull headache sharpens when extra stimulus is applied, but fades if I rest. Other things are better though, so it's getting easier to do more things.

Hopefully it won't be too much longer till I'm out the door.

You're still experiencing significant improvement though. That's good. I can only imagine how frustrating it must be having such a long recovery, but you'll get there. I hope the headache goes away for good soon.

Yard work is no fun. Working on my homebrew is fun. So is watching TV. And surfing the net.

1) went to the Dr.'s office today and well I have lost more weight and my blood pressure is almost to a normal range.

Wooppee

2) My wife called the lady with the house and explained what all was going on and she spoke with her hubby. Looks like we WILL have the new house after all!!!

Happy Happy Joy Joy

3) old land lord sent us a 3 day notice for non payment of rent and my wife called and politely explained (I was not in the mood to be Polite) that we have turned in our 30 day notice to them and we paid our first and last months rent when we moved in. :P''

ah twisting the knife!

:)

Hmmm.... so it seems I will be getting some allocated excess funds from school in May. Should I buy our plane tickets now with paychecks, or buy them in May with money that should be going to savings for when I am student teaching? Decisions decisions.

Or....OR...you could donate the money to the "Fresh Supply of Brains for Aberzombie" charity. All the cool kids are doing it.

Great news, CJ. Glad to hear things are looking up for you. :)

I had mixed feelings about it. Did you see/like Blade Runner? My wife hasn't really watched Blade Runner and she didn't get it that much. I thought that the references to Blade Runner were brilliant. It also didn't have a laugh track and not much in the way of background music which hurt it a bit I felt.

I was just glad that they put SOMETHING out.

Yeah, I love Blade Runner and got all the references, I just thought it was lacking compared to their other stuff, even the last few seasons.

Yeah, I have on demand too. It's a good barometer of stuff that finally made it stateside that I'll eventually pick up in a boxed set. I can't wait for Otakon this year...I plan to pick up Diamond Daydreams(I like soap operas, okay?!?!?!), Berzerk, Big O volume 2(SHOWTIME!!!) IkkiTousen(I like cheesecake, okay?!?!), Air Gear(same reason), and either Toloveru(same reason) or Tears to Tiara.

Sure does. I got the Super Special Definaitive Mega Awesome Edition* for Christmas a few years back. It came in a faux briefcase with all 5 versions of the movie plus a bunch of extra bits and pieces. Looks pretty cool. :)

*I can't remember what it was called but this sounds good enough

Hang in there, Emp7.

Good news, CrimJ.

Funny thing: I love fries and I love sweet potatoes, but I hate sweet potato fries. This even though I like the chips.

Blade Runner, on the other hand, kicks mega-ass.

I don't know for certain. Just that one of my posts stopped showing up. That's never happened to me before. Sure there are posts that don't show up for a while (ie "ghost posts) but I haven't seen it where they are there and then aren't.

Or I could be just a little paranoid.

Did you check "Recent Posts" in your profile?

I've never seen a case where the Paizo folks have deleted a post and not posted to that effect. I think it's more likely a bug.
